  • My pay pal button will not link to pay pal. It only refreshes page, why?

    I have the following code in my registration page to go to a paypal button. But when I click on the button it just refreshes the page. Is their something I am missing?   • How do you link to an action that takes an array as a parameter (RedirectToAction and/or ActionLink)

    I have an action defined like so: public ActionResult Foo(int[] bar) { ... } Url's like this will work as expected: .../Controller/Foo?bar=1&bar=3&bar=5 I have another action that does some work and then redirects to the Foo action above for some computed values of bar. Is there a simple way of specifying the route values with RedirectToAction or ActionLink so that the url's get generated like the above example?     At present I am displaying a list of the last 5 posts in a site's blog in its footer using this mysql query: SELECT post_title, guid, post_date FROM wp_posts WHERE post_type = 'post' AND post_status = 'Publish' ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 5 How can I edit this query to restrict the search to a particular category id? I thought it would be as simple as looking for a category field in the posts table but it isn't!

  • What HTTP redirect status should I use to link offsite?

    While randomly browsing my website via Google, I noticed that it was showing up remote redirects as local files. Now this can be both good and bad, but I'm wondering how can I fix this so it doesn't happen? I'm currently using PHP and header('Location: ... which sends a 302 redirect. Looking over the list of HTTP status codes, I'd take a guess that I should be using 303 redirects to redirect offsite. Is anyone able to help me here, and either confirm/deny this, or tell me what I should be doing instead? Obviously, due to me not being able to tell Google to reindex my site on command, there's issues with being able to test this myself...

So it would look something like this: var IDs = new int [] { 5, 20, 10 } var items = from mytable in db.MyTable where IDs.Contains(mytable.mytableID) orderby // not sure what to do here select mytable; I'm hoping to get items in the order of IDs (5, 20, 10). (Note this is similar to this question, but I would like to do it in Linq instead of SQL)

  • CentOS - Add additional hard drive raid arrays on Dell Perc 5/i card

    We have a Dell Poweredge 2900 system with Dell Perc 5/i card and 4 SAS hard drives attached, with NTFS partitions on them. We installed CentOS on one raid array on this controller with a different controller and it is working fine. We are now trying to access the drives shown above and they are not being shown in /dev as sdb, etc. sda is the drive that we installed centos on and it has sda1, sda2, sda3, etc. The CDROM has been picked up as well. If I scan for scsi devices then the perc and adaptec controllers are both found. sg0 is the CDROM and sg2 is the centos installed, however I think sg1 is the other drive but I cannot see anyway to mount the partitions, as only the drive is listed in /dev.   • Want to set 'src' of script to my IP-Won't load in Safari or Chrome. Relative link asp.netmvc

    I have a script that links to the server I am hosting (IP can change) usually I would just use for links: var url ='http://' + window.location.hostname + 'end of url'; But in this case it isnt appearing to be so easy. I have tried: (1) $('#scriptid').attr('src', url); as well as: (2) var script = document.createElement( 'script' ); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = url; $("#insert").append( script ); Now case (2) works loads the script runs the script. But when at the end of my script it hits the 'write data' it decides to replace the entire page with just the data. Any idea on how I can do this? Note: I am using plain html not ASP. With ASP backend that is just the way it has to be. Ok it now is <script src="myscript.js"></script> C# router.AddAsyncRoute("myscript.js"...... It workes in IE & FF. But I get blank pages in Chrome & Safari. I am using document.write to write a script onto my page. Any ideas why Chrome & Safari don't like this? I am so far assuming that in Crhome & Safari it takes longer to run the script therefore launching the document.write after the DOM has loaded therefore replacing the page with a blank one. edit the script im trying to run is a modification of: d = new dTree('d'); d.add(0,-1,'My example tree'); d.add(1,0,'Node 1','default.html'); d.add(2,0,'Node 2','default.html'); d.add(3,1,'Node 1.1','default.html'); d.add(4,0,'Node 3','default.html'); d.add(5,3,'Node 1.1.1','default.html') document.write(d); Any ideas how I can get around this?   • Is document.links faster in finding a link using jQuery?

    Is this faster: $(document.links).filter('a.someClass') than just plain old this: $('a.someClass') ? I don't see anywhere in jQuery's code the utilization of document.links which gives you the collection of links on the document right away, than, it would seem, it would be faster to just filter in the collection instead of all the DOM nodes, which is alot more nodes to go over.

The corresponding (v=VS.80) page geared towards Visual Studio 2005 makes no such mention. Moreover, there is this Q&A. Thing is: Why should anybody spend anything on VS? ml is provided free of charge- necessarily so since it poses no value addition. The combined size of the other two is 895kb. Uncompressed. The GUI is a disservice. I myself have found half a dozen bugs. However, if the above is true, you'd need the IDE. MSFT fanboys, please step up. Background is that I have the 2008 Pro ed. The official Firefox builds use VS 2005 which I have on another system. To me no redundancy is acceptable. That's when I started pondering about boiling down VS and merely copying over the essential binaries. Then extended the thought to synthetically updating V$.

  • Can I connect a Playstation 3's HDMI output to my monitor's DVI-D input? [migrated]

    I'm attempting to connect my Playstation 3 to my computer monitor. The monitor has a DVI-D (dual link) input, so before distinguishing between the different DVI varieties, I bought a DVI-I (dual link) to HDMI converter that won't fit into the port on the monitor (not only that, there isn't enough physical space in the back of the monitor to fit that much stuff before it hits the bottom of it). So I grabbed a DVI-D (single link) cable and got a female-to-female DVI-I coupler, and plugged the DVI-D cable into the monitor and the whole mess of converters. The end result was HDMI to DVI-D single link, but my monitor isn't receiving a signal on its digital channel. (For clarity's sake: DVI-D DL input on Monitor, DVI-D SL cable, DVI-I DL female-to-female coupler, DVI-I DL to HDMI converter, HDMI output on PS3) I don't know much about this stuff (obviously), but my educated guess is that the bandwidth of the PS3 is too high for the DVI-D Single Link cable, so nothing's getting through. Will replacing the single link cable with dual link resolve this? If not, is it possible at all? Oh, I should mention I'm aware I won't get audio through the monitor. I have an RCA to 3.5mm converter for that.

    I have a web form in SPARK which allow the editing of a Facility class that contains Rooms. When editing the Facility all the Rooms are listed for editing too. The form works fine for editing, but I would like to include a button "Add Room" that adds a new blank room below the existing ones. Any idea how this is accomplished?   • How can I have a web link perform an action in a specific desktop application?

    The specific situation is I have a .zip file that I want to open with a certain application. However, I don't want all ZIP files associated with that application. I think the answer is that instead of saying, "download this zip file, and open it with application X" I could have the browser basically go well my desktop application to go fetch it on its own (the same way directives like itunes: mailto: or aim: do things like launch the itunes store, add buddies, etc). Thoughts?
