  I'm new to SCCM and trying to figure out the best way to do things. I want to create a config baseline for defining network settings (e.g. default gateway) for a collection of servers. Is finding the applicable reg key and deploying the config that way the best method, or is there a configuration pack that includes pre-determined values, maybe a third option I am un-aware of?   Hi, I have a collection of .tif files but when I open them on my Mac 10.5 they show up as solid black and I don't know why. thanks Upon further inspection at really high brightness there are some out of focus objects viewable. It looks as if I am getting the first couple bits of each pixel but not the entire range of values.

• rundll32 gets stuck when running games on windows 7 [closed]

  When I run a game on my windows 7 laptop, Rundll32 completely uses up one of my cores and the game wont start. By searching the web I have been able to fix it by 1 - Disabling game info collection/updation from the games explorer. It solved the problem for some games but not all 2 - Killing the game exe once rundll32 gets stuck and restarting the game This has solved the problem for now, but is there a proper and permanent solution to this?

It'll be for simple things like a database of my DVD collection and I'd want to be able to import/export using standard file formats and add/edit fields of existing databses. • Recommendations on managing dot files for users using Puppet

  Goal is to have a collection of dot files (.bashrc, .vimrc, etc.) in a central location. Once it's there, Puppet should push out the files to all managed servers. I initially was thinking of giving users FTP access where they could upload their dot files and then having an rsync cron job. However, it might not be the most elegant or robust solution.   Hi, I just updated Amarok from KDE3 version and it looks a bit weird and different. But my problem is after I updated my music collection and started to play it (it is all loaded into my playlist), amarok doesn't start next song after the current song is finished. I have repeat(repeat playlist) and random(random tracks) options enabled. Thanks.

• Legality of using a burned CD with a legal CD-Key?

  I have a friend that keeps a collection of burned Windows CD's; 2000, XP, Vista which he uses to repair peoples computers with. Now he justifies this by saying he uses the CD-Key on their OEM sticker that came with their PC. As long as the installation validates the installation should be 100% legal. Is this true? I've always been under the impression you had to use the original CD/DVD that came with the computer. Thanks in advance.

  Hi, MS Word 2007 files have a property page for entering details like summary and title. This is displayed when you hover over the documents on Desktop. Now on my Windows XP SP2 computer, inside Windows Explorer, it shows the special properties for all such files from Desktop, but not from the Network Drives. This is a big problem when I have a large collection of Word documents all in one folder. How can I display these special properties (infotips) for documents in my network drives ? Thanks :)

I'm aware that there is some things you can do to take precaution but I'm not familiar enough with ActiveMQ / want something that's a bit more mindful of similar environments to mine outside the box. (and I lost the original MP3s) I'd like to re-rip the CDs to a higher bitrate, and apply the ID3 tags from the existing rips to the new files.   I keep my music collection on my iPod, but since I got my first iPhone two and a half years ago I have quit using the iPod as a portable music device. It's just an external HD. Benefit of having it as an external HD is that when it's connected to some other computer iTunes can play its music and update iTunes database. It would be nice if I could copy data from the iPod to an external USB HD and give away the iPod to somebody who doesn't have one.

• iTunes lost my music after re-plugging my external harddisk

  I am storing most of my music on an external hard disk and from time to time I need to unplug this disk. After reconnecting it to my computer and starting iTunes I noticed that the individual songs stored on the external drive are now lost (they have a little exclamation mark next to them). iTunes offers me to locate the songs one by one, but I have thousands of songs. Is there a better solution to reconnect my collection in iTunes?
