    There are bits and pieces of information all over the place but I'm trying to put it all together so that GoogleCL finally accesses more than the initial 7 services. Does anyone know of a step-by-step? Right now any attempt outside these result in the error message: google tasks list Did you specify the service correctly? Must be one of 'picasa', 'blogger', 'youtube', 'docs', 'contacts', 'calendar', 'finance' I installed GoogleCL from the Ubuntu repos, authenticated a few bundled services like contacts, docs etc. and those work great, giving me access to do certain operations like upload from the command line.   • Is having several desktop environments on one account bad?

    I have gnome classic, cinnamon, unity, gnome 3, and KDE installed on my only user account because I enjoy a little change from time to time (although my favorite is gnome classic) so I installed all of these desktop environments. I heard from a friend that it could potentially cause some problems. I was also told that it would be okay if I created a separate account for each environment, but I don't want to if I don't have to. Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

  • How to protect Google Ads from yontoo layers runtime?

    Since sometime I have observed that Google Ads on any website including my blog (http://blogs.digitss.com) gets replaced with something similar to uploaded image below. I am sure it's happening with many people and that could reduce google adsense income. After some research I found that it is because "yontoo layers runtime" from http://www.yontoo.com/ (tagline says: Platform that allows you to control the websites you visit everyday.) but actually they are taking over. I am not sure with which software they are making a way into users computer but that seems very bad in terms of freedom of Internet and advt/marketing industry. I don't remember I have ever said "yes" to install yontoo on my computer. This piece of software is successful to install itself on my laptop/desktop and workstation at office. I am going to disable it now but the question is how do I make my websites aware of Yontoo Runtime and stop them from replacing Google Ads? Basically they are not able to replace all adsense ads but so far they are successfully replaced 1st instance of adsense advt and I am sure in future they will hit more. There could be 2 approaches 1) Fool yontoo runtime by putting some misleading divs in html document to save actual ads, 2) Completely disable yontoo by working out some client side script (javascript) which can fail/crash yontoo runtime and so will fail it's purpose of replacing ads. You can visit my blog (http://blogs.digitss.com) and see on top-right corner, if you find that google ad replaced with something similar to image attached with question - it means your computer/browser is infected too. Looking forward to reply from webmasters, if someone has already wrote some code/plugin to make website (and google ads) safe from yontoo or similar runtime. FYI: it was able to push this runtime in all browsers installed on machine. So a dangerous threat. And yes, I am just using Google ads - not sure if yontoo runtime is doing trick against other ad networks or not? I am sure they must be doing it with some handful of ad networks.

    I have been using gnome fallback for more than a year, but recently I have come across this image: However, when in virtual machine (new copy of ubuntu 12.04) I change to gnome 3 shell, the desktop is not even similar to the one in the photo above. I am wondering if there are others things that I am missing/have to do....to get to the same thing (or similar) that you can see in the image above.   • Remove kubuntu-desktop from ubuntu 12.04 [closed]

    Possible Duplicate: How to completely remove desktop? So, I thought I managed to remove KDE completely, but apparently that did not work at all, because every KDE application is back, including the KDE splash screen. I ran sudo apt-get autoremove --purge kubuntu-desktop Then I ran sudo apt-get install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop Then I ran sudo sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth Then I rebooted and everything seemed to be the original ubuntu-desktop (without the kde splash screen and other KDE applications). But now, one week later I still boot to ubuntu-desktop, but like I said, the kde splash screen and applications are all back. How should I remove kubuntu-desktop?

  • How can I force Windows 7 to REindex a folder?

    I asked Windows 7 to index my entire "Media" folder. After it was done it'd find anything in there, no problem. Then I reorganized it a bit and moved some folders around, and now it doesn't find things inside those folders anymore. For example, I'm looking at a folder with the files: 01. Ferry Corsten - Shelter Me.mp3 02. Ferry Corsten - Black Velvet.mp3 ... 05. Ferry Corsten - Made Of Love.mp3 ... I type in "Love" in the search box for the current folder, and it doesn't find anything. I checked in "Indexing Options", and this very folder is checked off in there. It seems I just messed up its indexing feature. Any ideas how fix?

    Google now has a feature where the search updates as you type in the search box.  You can implement the same feature in your MVC site with a little jQuery and MVC Ajax.  Here's how: Create a javascript global variable to hold the previous value of your search box. Use setTimeout to check to see if the search box has changed after some interval.  (Note: Don't use setInterval since we don't want to have to turn the timer off while Ajax is processing.) Submit the form if the value is changed. Set the update target to display your results. Set the on success callback to "start" the timer again.  This, along with step 2 above will make sure that you don't sent multipe requests until the initial request has finished processing.     I would like to remote desktop/VPN from an Ubuntu 13.04 computer (a) to an Ubuntu 13.04 computer(b) so the user(s) on the second machine can see my movements. I would like something a lot like team-viewer or Join.me but these machines do not have Internet but that are attached on a local network and I can VPN to them but that can not see what I am doing and I need them to be able to see my movements.

    Question: How do i tell RDWeb to launch apps from remote.domain.com rather then host.internaldomain.local? Environment: Existing org with AD forest. New single Server 2012 running all Remote Desktop Services roles for session host. Used the new 2012 wizard to setup "QuickSessionCollection" with roles: RD Session Host RD Connection Broker RD Gateway RD Web Access RD Licensing Everything works with self-signed cert, but we want to prevent those. The users are potentially non-domain machines so sticking a private root cert for on their machines isn't an option. Every part of the solution needs to use public cert. Added public remote.domain.com cert to all roles using Server Manager GUI: RD Connection Broker - Enable Single Sign On RD Connection Broker - Publishing RD Web Access RD Gateway So now everything works beautifully except the last step: user logs into https://remote.domain.com user clicks a app icon, which in background downloads a .rdp file that is signed by remote.domain.com. .rdp is set to use RD Gateway, which is remote.domain.com .rdp says app is hosted on internal host.internaldomain.local, which doesn't match the RDP-tcp TLS cert of remote.domain.com, and pops a warning. It's this last step that I'd like to fix. Is there a config option in PowerShell, WMI, or .config to tell RDWeb/RemoteApp to use remote.domain.com for all published apps so the TLS cert for RDP matches what the Session Host is using? NOTE: This question talks about this issue, and this answer mentions how you might fix it in 2008, but that GUI doesn't exist in 2012 for RemoteApp, and I can't find a PowerShell setting for it. NOTE: Here's a screenshot of the setting in 2008R2 that I need to change. It tells RemoteApp what to use for the Session Host server name. How can I set that in 2012?

    Hello I have just installed Windows 2008 web server to have a development/test site on my office. In the test network I only have 2 machines: Windows server 2008 Web Edition Vista x64 client machine with Visual Studio The client and the server are networked using a NETGEAR router. I have enabled Remote desktop on the server and when I try to connect to it within the Vista client I get the credential window as in the following screenshot. But even if I write the correct credentials I am not able to remote login on the server. Where am I doing wrong? Update 1 I have even tried to create a folder share on the server. But I am not able to access it for the same reason. User or password invalid it says. But this is impossible as I am logging in the server with the same credentials. Update 2 If I try to browse the network from the RDP client I receive a message saying that there are no server running Terminal Services in my network.... :O

I don't think it would be appropriate to run this as a logon script inside the VM, I think there is a way to do this on the management side but I don't know the new scripting interface in Server 2012 R2 well enough to know which commandlets I should look for to schedule this. EDIT: I know System Center is perfect for this but I do not have a license and was denied when I asked for it to be added to the budget.

    I use Eclipse 3.3 in my daily work, and have also used Eclipse 3.2 extensively as well. In both versions, sometimes the Search options (Java Search, File Search, etc) in the menu get disabled, seemingly at random times. However, with CTRL + H, I am able to access the search functionality. Does anyone know why this happens? Has it been fixed in Eclipse 3.4?

    I have a tableview with a search display controller. It has been working fine in the past, but recently has started crashing for certain search results. Here my code searches a Golfer based on their Name, Age and Handicap. The data is correctly loaded into the table, I can access and drill down to receive further information. However when I type in a search query for either Name or Age, the app crashes, while the Golfers Handicap is returned fine.     On Wordpress, I keep getting irrelevant search results. Some search strings that do not exist on the DB yield All Posts as results. Some search strings that DO exist, works great. What could be the cause of that behavior? I've uninstalled all related plugins. Is there a way to debug the search? Thanks!

I believe I cannot use Apache Lucene directly since it is in Java. Can I use Lucy which is a C port of Lucene (not sure if Perl and Ruby would work on it)? Or is there any other open-source search engine which I can use in my iPhone app for search within the app? Thanks

  • Multiple infowindows - tearing my hair out

    Ok, I'll admit I'm nowhere near the best programmer on the planet - and I'm used to the answer staring me right in the face but not making sense of it. Problem I need to display multiple markers on a map, each with their own infowindow. I have created the individual markers without a problem, but don't know how to create the infowindows for each. Steps so far I am generating a map using the V3 API within an ASP-based website, with markers being created from a set of DB records. The markers are created by looping through a rs and defining a marker() with the relevant variables: var myLatlng = new google.maps.LatLng(lat,long); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ map: map, position: myLatlng, title: 'locationname', icon: 'http://google-maps-icons.googlecode.com/files/park.png' }); This is creating all the relevant markers in their correct locations. What I need to do now, and am not sure of how to achieve is give each of them their own unique infowindow which I can use to display information and links relevant to that marker.     I have a drop down list of Type in my Products model. I want to be able to search in the Products index.html.erb so a user selects a type from a drop down list, clicks search and all the products matching that type are returned. I can get normal search methods working where the user enters in their search in a text box but I cannot get it working when they just select from a dropdown. Can anyone help?
