• Wireless Problem on HP Pavillion G6

• Display Driver Issue on an hp TX2-1160ea Notebook

  I'm new to Linux and recently switched to Ubuntu 11.04 due to my project requirement. My laptop has been freezing and going to black screen of death when I run anything related to display (Share desktop, stream video, etc). Today I went through the Ubuntu forum to install the appropriate graphic driver and, after doing it, I rebooted my PC. It gave an error before login saying "select the recovery mode" and after clicking OK, it didn't give the same error on reboot but I've lost the 11.04 graphical interface and all I see is the interface of Ubuntu v10 with slow visuals (even scrolling up/down on browser is really slow). For the reference, here's a desktop screenshot so that you can understand the situation. Also the laptop is overheating. How can I fix this problem? How can i get the Ubuntu 11.04 view back? I also tried Google, but couldn't find any issue like this.   I just installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my DELL Latitude E6230, on first boot wifi worked properly but when I updated the software it stopped working. I can't figure out the problem... In the "Network" setting window, I only see "Wired" and "Network proxy". Wireless has just disappeared: rfkill list all 0: hci0: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no and that's it! Nothing about the wireless controller... Any suggestions?

• Wireless xbox360 pad connected with xboxdrv doesn't show in jstest

  So Lubuntu 13.04, 3.4.0. I'm trying to use my wireless xbox controller. I've installed xboxdrv. I have to run it with sudo, or I get USBController::USBController(): libusb_open() failed: LIBUSB_ERROR_ACCESS. If I connect the adapter, run the program, and then press the button on the gamepad to connect it, it never really connects - just flashes like it's searching. If I reboot, leaving the controller searching, and run the command again while it's searching after I boot up, the controller connects (the light becomes solid in one corner). Using pkill xboxdrv and then relaunching it doesn't work. • MVC Design Pattern to Combine Multiple Models for use

  In my design, I have multiple models and each model has a controller. I need to use all the models to process some operation. Most examples I see are pretty simple with 1 view, 1 controller, and 1 model. How would you get all these models together? Only ways I can think of are 1) Have a top-level controller which has a reference to every controller. Those controllers will have a getter/setter function for their model. Does this violate MVC because every controller should have a model? 2) Have an Intermediate class to combine every model into a one model. Then you create a controller for that new super model. Do you know of any better ideas? Thanks.

• Ruby on rails model and controllers inside of different namespaces

  OK. This is insane. I'm new to RoR and I really want to get into it as everything about it that I have seen so far makes it more appealing to the type of work that I do. However, I can't seem to accomplish a very simple thing with RoR. I want these controlers: /admin/blog/entries (index/show/edit/delete) /admin/blog/categories (index/show/edit/delete) /admin/blog/comments (index/show/edit/delete) ... and so on And these models: Blog::Entry (table: blog_entries) Blog::Category (table: blog_categories) Blog::Comments (table: blog_comments) ... and so on Now, I have already gone though quite a bit of misery to make this work. My first attempt was with generating scaffolding (I'm using 2.2.2). I generated my scaffolding, but had to move my model, then fix the references to the model in my controller (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/903258/ruby-on-rails-model-inside-namespace-cant-be-found-in-controller). That is already a big of a pain, but hey, I got it to work. Now though form_for won't work and I cannot figure out how to use the url helpers (I have no idea what these are called... they are the automatically generated methods that return URLs to controllers associated with a model). I cannot figure out what their name is. My model is Blog::Entries. I have tried to mess with the route.rb's map's resource method, but no luck. When I attempt to use form_for with my model, I get this error undefined method `blog_entries_path' for #<ActionView::Base:0xb6848080> Now. This is really quite frustrating. I am not going to completely destroy my code's organization in order to use this framework, and if I cannot figure out how to accomplish this simple task (I have been researching this for at least 5 hours) then I simply cannot continue. Are there any ideas on how to accomplish this? Which one is better? I prefer the first one, as my IDE is eclipse 3.5 shiped with WTP 3.1 and m2eclipse, I don't know if maven-eclipse-plugin support WTP 3.1 project settings ? If I don't import correct project settings, I don't think eclipse will recognize my project,when I deploy a web application, it ususally can't find webroot folder.

I get AD installed correctly, but when I do the promotion to DC, the server restarts and when I try to access it, I am unable to login using any of the local system accounts. I even created my own separate user account, but that did not help. I made sure to disable the amazon settings for renaming the machine, the machine has a static ip and has been renamed.

  I'm reading the FreeNAS userguide and came across the statement: Note that hardware RAID configured as JBOD may still detach disks that do not respond in time; and as such may require TLER/CCTL/ERC-enabled disks to prevent drive dropouts. I'm using a '3Ware 9550SX-8LP RAID Controller' and see quite a few stories of people successfully running raid5 on 7.2k consumer SATA drives without issue. Are detached disks only a theoretical problem, or should I expect this to be a common occurrence?

Using it with a dedicated journal device mitigates the performance penalty of writing the data twice. A power outage would still lose the data that is currently being written to the journal, but the file system on disk would always be consistent.   Hi, I've an interesting problem with some routing with an ASP.NET MVC app. I'm building a CMS and I've got a catch-all handler that takes the URL and checks to see if there's some matching content in a database. If so, it displays it, otherwise we get a 404. Now I've got all that working with some test data, I moved on to write a quick admin system. I thought I'd use some of the new Area functionality baked into MVC 2, so I've created an area called Admin with a controller called Home. Now however I have a problem of the default HomeController in the Admin Area is being returned when requesting the application root path. The problem is that there is no other HomeController for the 'root' application (the one hosting all of the areas), instead the root would be redirected to the my catch-all handler and populated from the database. So now the controller factory is returning the best matching controller, which it thinks is the admin area one, what I really need is for it to not match it at all - as it did previously. Apart from renaming the Admin HomeController to something else, is there another solution?
