  • How to start MSSQL Server with corrupt model db

    After moving some databases around (restoring, deleting, etc) we experienced an issue creating new databases. Specifically, When trying to create a new database MSSQL Server it failed because the "The database 'model' is marked RESTORING and is in a state that does not allow recovery to be run". As some online solutions suggested, we tried to Start and Stop the MSSQL Service. Service would not restart because "Could not create tempdb. You may not have enough disk space available. Free additional disk space by deleting other files on the tempdb drive" (FYI: the drive has 100gb of free space). Tried restarting the machine the MSSQL Server is running on. When the server came back online, we received the same error. We have tried deleting tempdb.mdf and restoring the modeldb from the templates folder, but neither of these solved the issue. We are unable to connect to the database, even in single user mode. Many of the online solutions have us running SQL commands against the server, but we are unable to connect (even in single user mode) to the DB to run commands against the server. Specific error messages: Database 'model' cannot be opened. It is in the middle of a restore. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 927) The SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service is starting. The SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service could not be started. A service specific error occurred: 1814. We need the server up and running again ASAP.

  • How to highlight clicks in app widget?

    Hi everyone, I have an app widget which runs neatly. However, I am unable to highlight a click on a linked item. I've seen it in the standard app widgets like 'Music' and 'Power Control', for instance. Moreover, I've also been studying the Music app widget's source at album_appwidget.xml. The only thing I could think of is the LinearLayout defined at lines 23-35 which states android:clickable="true" Unfortunately, this does not work for me. So does anyone have a hint on how to highlight a click on an app widget? I've tried the LinearLayout, TextView and Button. None of them displayed a border as a highlight. Thanks in advance, Steff

  • Free internet radio station server software with remote broadcasting?

    I am in the process of creating an internet radio station, but the two djs I have for it are not able to be in one place. I need for them to be able to login to a web based broadcasting session that still has full functionality. They need to be able to broadcast thier live shows with talk and music. The music will be stroed on the server. I have checked out the Broadwave media streaming server from NCH, but ti does not have the ability to login as a dj from a remote computer. I don't have any money for this, so I need it to be free. If this is not possible, I need it to be cheap!

    Hello, I am designing a web site that plays music. The music player itself will be in a separate window along with the now playing list. I want to be able to refresh the now playing list when a new song is added to it from the main window. Essentially I need to figure out how to communicate between the two windows. I was only able to find one plugin on line that defines the player page as a child of the main page but then this reference would be lost after the parent page i.e my main page was refreshed. So this was not very useful to me and I'm kinda lost atm. However some extensions have multiple mimetypes, for example; midi[] = "application/x-midi" midi[] = "audio/midi" midi[] = "audio/x-mid" midi[] = "audio/x-midi" midi[] = "music/crescendo" midi[] = "x-music/x-midi" 6 (possible) mimetypes for 1 extension. Whats common practice to determine the correct mimetype? (e.g. i need to set a HTTP content-type header). I know its not ideal; determining mimetypes based on extension.. but i need consistent (cross-server) results (e.g. fileinfo extension in PHP is making terrible guesses*). * Some fileinfo results for example; js - text/plain css - text/c-h

  • How can I download all files of a specific type from a website using PHP?

    I want to get all midi (*.mid) files from a site that's set up pretty simple in terms of directory tree structure. I wish we had wget installed here, but that's another party.... The site is VGMusic.com and the path containing all of the midi files is: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/nes/ I tried glob'ing it out, but I suppose that glob only works locally? I entered the parameter I needed in the "payload" box and this was the output. So, I would appreciate any help on how to pass this parameter to the header. Note: My host supports xmlrpc but it seems the function "xmlrpc_client" doesn't exist.
