SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script not allowed to access directory owned by uid

I am running a dedicated server with multiple websites. I have created a global directory for common scripts for all websites, rather than repeating them in every website directory. How can I make this global directory accessible for all website. I am getting following error. Warning: require_once() [function.require-once]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is XXXX is not allowed to access /vhosts/globallibrary/Zend/Application.php owned by uid XXXX I have change the ownership of global directory for X website. so it works fine for X website. latter I added another website Y Now I am getting the same error again. If I change the CHOWN for Y website then X website will have the same error. I don't want to disable the safemode restriction. Is there a work around, so that this global dir will be accessible by all website. I am getting following error in my browser when I try to access global directory. Global directory is on same level as all other websites. Is this a good practice to enable safemode for websites?

Ubuntu 11.04 fresh install - "Input signal out of range" or "Mode not supported..."

I recently installed Ubuntu 11.04 using a CD .iso. Installation went fine. Upon completion I rebooted and after a second or two I got a black screen with the message "Input signal out of range". And there it sits... Read a few things about how this could be related to screen resolution, refresh rate, etc. For the heck of it I tried a different monitor. The result is the same but the message provides some clues - "Mode not supported - H:92.7kHz, V:58.3Hz" (the latter is Hz; not kHz). So my thought is that I should probably be able to use the 11.04 install disc to "Try out Ubuntu", find and edit some file that was created by the install with the correct values. Problem is, I am not too sure what I am supposed to edit. Looked at the xorg.conf file but this is so minimal at this point I am not sure it is where I want to go. By the way, the monitor is an I-Inc ix191a. Anyone have any ideas on how to get around this?

Need software to convert RAR to ZIP ("store" mode - no compression) * Extract->re-archive changes date/time attributes

I have tried all of the following applications (download.cnet.com - the free ones), and none of them will convert an RAR archive to a ZIP, without compressing the files ("store" mode). 7-ZIP would be fine, too. [The RAR is a "solid" archive with password (I know it), files "stored" - no compression, used WinRAR 3.5.1] PeaZip, 7-Zip, FilZip, TugZip, SimplyZipSE, QuickZip, WinShrink. (A couple of the apps let you try, but the program gives an error - indicating how bad the software is. (Like "unknown header # #.") None of these apps will do the conversion at all. IZArc 4.1 comes the closest. It will convert an RAR to a ZIP, but it compresses the zip. There is a general preference setting to "store" - but it doesn't effect conversions. I don't want to extract the RAR files and re-archive them because I need to preserve the modified/created file attributes. IZArc preserves them, but it compresses the files. WinRAR has the option to convert archives, but I get the error "skipping encryped archive" when I try to convert it. It asks for the password first, and I know it's right because that password opens the archive, and I can read/view all the files in the archive.

Can't login to Windows server 2008 (as any user, not even locally, not in safe mode but I have right credentials)

Just from nowhere I can't login to my Windows server 2008 machine. All the services like FTP server or webserver (which I'm actually not using, just remote desktop and FTP) are running. Whatever credentials I try (even/especialy administrator), it always says Unknown Username or bad password. I have already tried hard turn off/on and safe mode without luck. Also I already tried type in login name as SERVER NAME\user or Workgroup\user (every case sensitive scenario), still says I have wrong login. Usually we are using remote desktop to access the machine but local access over KVM doesn't work either. Now I'm lock out of any control or any way to do something. There's just logon screen preceding by ctrl+alt+del to login alert. Without me able to login I can't actually try to fix anything. Can't find much more on Internet except the SERVER NAME\user thing. Reinstall would be the last resort but I can't let things this way for much longer anyway. This server is vital. If it would be any help, I think automatic Windows updates are turned off and there were no updates or newly installed software for last couple years and just few soft restarts, non of them recently. It happened during it's runtime while all other services were still up and running, so this couldn't be just some Windows nasty screw up during boot or something. What could have possibly changed? What are my options now?

Passing data between android ListActivities in Java

I am new to Android! I am having a problem getting this code to work... Basically I Go from one list activity to another and pass the text from a list item through the intent of the activity to the new list view, then retrieve that text in the new list activity and then preform a http request based on value of that list item. I have a COM object that was registered using the following command: C:\WINDOWS\microsoft.net\Framework\v2.0.50727>regasm D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll /tlb:MyTLB.tlb /codebase When I create the object via ASP I get: Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 8000ffff' Server.CreateObject Failed /includes/a_URLFilter.asp, line 19 8000ffff When I create the object in a vbs script and use the 32-bit version of cscript (in \Windows\syswow64) it works fine. I've checked permissions on the DLL, and the IUSR has Read/Execute. Even if I add the IUSR to the Administrators group, I get the same error. How to create a simple adf dashboard application with EJB 3.0

In this month's Oracle Magazine, Frank Nimphius wrote a very good article about an Oracle ADF Faces dashboard application to support persistent user personalization. You can read this entire article clicking here. The idea in this article is to extend the dashboard application. My idea here is to create a similar dashboard application, but instead ADF BC model layer, I'm intending to use EJB3.0. There are just a one small trick here and I'll show you. Java Slick2d Animation not working

No GLX on Intel card with multiseat with additional nVidia card

I have multiseat configured and my Xorg has 2 server layouts. One is for nVidia card and other is for Intel card. They both work, but display server assigned to Intel card doesn't have hardware acceleration since DRI and GLX module being used is from nVidia driver. So my question is, can I configure layouts somehow to use right DRI and GLX with each card? I have deployed an application using JBoss 4.2.2 on a 64-bit RHEL5 server. Since there are other JBoss servers, I had to change some port configurations so that there would be no conflicts when starting the server. So right now I'm using ports-01 from the sample-bindings.xml file that came in the docs/examples/binding-manager/samples directory. It has an exmaple that sais use "example.org" if a mail address on the system is "foo@example.org" but it also sais that the mail name should be the FQDN. my hostname is "mercury" and my FQDN is "mercury.pacificseatheat.org", so should I use "pacificseatheat.org" or "mercury.pacificseatheat.org" for the system mail name? Why is my system freezing when I switch users

Hello I've recently upgraded from 13.04 to 13.10 64bit. I'm running AMD graphics with the proprietary drivers. I have two user accounts. Mine(administrator) and my girlfriend's(standard) My girlfriend clicks "switch user" from my lock screen and logs in fine. I then try to click "switch user" from her lock screen and everything goes black. Then the monitor blinks on and off with just a single cursor. I have no way to access the terminal, the system is unresponsive and I have to hit the power button. Even ctrl + alt + f4 or ctrl + alt + t doesn't get me a terminal. Why won't IE let users login to a website unless in In Private mode?

I'm not entirely sure this belongs on SuperUser.com. I also considered ServerFault.com and StackOverflow.com, but on balance, I think it should belong here? We host a website which has the same code responding to multiple domain names. On 28th December (without any changes deployed to the website) a percentage of users suddenly could not login, and the blank login page was just rendered again even when the correct credentials were entered. The issue is still ongoing. After remote controlling an affected user's PC, we've found the following: The issue affects Internet Explorer 9. The user can login from the same machine on Chrome. The user can login from an In Private browser session using IE9. The user can login if the website is added to the Trusted Sites security zone. The user can NOT login from an IE session in safe mode (started with iexplore -extoff). Only one hostname that the website responds to prevents login, the same user account on the other hostname works fine (note that this is identical code and database running server side), even though that site is not in trusted sites zone. Series of HTTP requests in the failure case: GET request to protected page, returns a 302 FOUND response to login page. GET request to login page. POST to login page, containing credentials, returns redirect to protected page. GET request to protected page... for some reason auth fails and browser is redirected to login page, as in step 1. Other information: Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate Edition. AV system is AVG Internet Security 2012. I can think of lots of things that could be going wrong, but in every case, one of the findings above is incompatible with the theory. Any ideas what is causing login to fail? Update 06-Jan-2012 Enhanced logging has shown that the .ASPXAUTH cookie is being set in step 3. Its expiry date is 28 days in the future, its path is /, the domain is mysite.com, and its value is an encrypted forms ticket, as expected. However, the cookie is not being received by the web server during step 4. Other cookies are being presented to the server during step 4, it's just this one that is missing. I've seen that cookies are usually set with a domain starting with a period, but mine isn't. Should it be .mysite.com instead of mysite.com? However, if this was wrong, it would presumably affect all users?

ubuntu 12.04 broken

I installed PPA package for BITdefender but somehow the package got broken. Because of this I was not able to boot Ubuntu in normal mode. So i booted in recovery mode and completely removed the broken package using synaptic package manager. But even after removing the broken package I'm unable to boot in normal mode. Everytime i try to boot in normal mode I'm greeted with a black screen! Is there any way to fix this?

I am using Tuscany 1.6 and am trying to set the Delivery Mode JMS Binding to NON_PERSISTENT. I've tried using uri="jms:MyService?deliveryMode=1" (which is what the spec (PDF) says to do) but, I ended up getting the following exception: Unknown token deliveryMode=1 I also tried <headers JMSDeliveryMode="NON_PERSISTENT"/>, although I did not get an exception the messages still got delivered as PERSISTENT. How do I run a VBScript in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit machine?

I have a text file that ends with .vbs that I have written the following in: Set Conn = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection") Conn.Provider = "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" Conn.Properties("Data Source") = "C:\dummy.accdb" Conn.Properties("Jet OLEDB:Database Password") = "pass" Conn.Open Conn.Close Set Conn = Nothing When I execute this on a Windows 32-bit machine it runs and ends without any notion (expected). When I execute this on a Windows 64-bit machine it gets the error "Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.". But it is installed. I think the root of the problem is that the provider is a 32-bit provider, as far as I know it doesn't exist as 64-bit. If I run the VBScript through IIS on my 64-bit machine (as a ASP file) I can select that it should run in 32-bit mode. It can then find the provider. How can I make it find the provider on Windows 64-bit? Can I tell CScript (which executes the .vbs text file) to run in 32-bit mode somehow?
