• Is there a way to keep a selenium session persistent accross multiple tests?

  I am testing a django application's frontend with selenium and that's first time I use it. I have multiple tests that test things after user logged in. I want them to be separate tests, but I want to have only log in once, is that possible? (As oppose to what I do right now: I log in first, then execute my testing actions of test1, then log in again and execute my testing actions for test2, etc.)

• Can I make TCP/IP session to run less than 60 seconds?

  Our server is overloaded with TCP/IP sessions, we have 1200 - 1500 of them. Most of them are hanging in TIME_OUT state. It turns out that a connection in TIME_OUT state occupies a socket until 60 second time-out is elapsed. The problem is that the server gets unresponsive and many clients are not getting served. I have made a simple test: download an XML file from the server with Internet Explorer 8.0 The download finishes in a fraction of second. But then I see that the TCP/IP connection is hanging in TIME_OUT state for 60 seconds. Is there any way to get rid of TIME_OUT waiting or make it less to free the socket for new connections? I understand why TCP/IP connection enters TIME_OUT state, but I don't understand why Internet Explorer does not close the connection after the XML file download is over. The details. Our server runs web service written in Perl (mod-perl). The service provides weather data to clients. Client is a Flash appication (actually Flash ActiveX control embedded in Windows application). Apache "Keep Alive" option is set to 0

However, I need to distinguish between users who are using my clipboard through a unique id. I use pretty generic configuration, as long as I include the jmsTransactionManager in DefaultMessageListenerContainer, Spring throw an error on start up: "Error creating bean with name 'org.springframework.jms.listener.DefaultMessageListenerContainer#0'" Without the transactionManager attribute , this works fine, but when I add 10 messages to the message queue, a transaction exception will occur.   I am using Flex Builder 3 to write a flex component. I have created a real folder path \common. Under common I create a Linked Folder to Session. Session points to a shared source folder with a item with a namespace of common\Session\ClassName. When I go to compile the project FlexBuilder warns that it was unable to find the type. if I stop using Linked folders and create a physical \common\Session\ in my project and place SessionInfo.as in the folder then it works. just in case my textual explanation is a bit obscure here is the layout. \src\common\Session\SessionInfo.as namespace of SessionInfo is common.Session. • creating BeanInfo objects in NetBeans 6.1 does not work for some objects

  I have recently learned about BeanInfo classes in Java, and have successfully used them to add icons to my custom GUI components which extend swing components such as JTextField, however i have a more specialized GUI component which extends from another one of my GUI components, which then extends from JTextField. Ie. the class hierarchy is of the form "A - B - JTextField". I can create a bean info object that works for class B, but when i click on the bean info editor option in netbeans to create a bean info object for class A, nothing happens. Ie. there is no error pop-up and a bean info object is not created. There isn't much difference between class A and B. Both A and B have default no argument constructors and they are very similar to each other. The only thing i can really think of is that A uses generics and B does not. I would like to create a beaninfo object for class A so that i can add custom icons for that component. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  I have an application that needs to behave differently if run directly from the linux console. So if a user connects with SSH to run FooBar, or the user walks over to the console and logs in directly to run FooBar, I want it to do something different. What C API do I need to call to tell the difference between these two scenarios? I was thinking I'd have to look at the "tty/pts" information (such as what I see when I run "ps axf"), but I'm not certain if that is the best solution, nor what API to call to get that information.   I've come across several instances where frameworks that take POJOs to do some work crap-out with proxied hibernate beans. For example if I xml annotate a bean for framework X and pass it to framework X it doesn't recognise the bean because it is passed the proxied object - which has no annotations for framework X.
