• How do I configure an extreme feedback device to notify CI build status?

    - by Gishu
Trying to save the next guy/gal some trouble in finding out what is needed to setup lava lamps or traffic lights or what have you (the term I believe is eXtreme Feedback Devices) as a BIG VISIBLE INDICATOR of your continuous integration build status. Ensure your post includes... (and please don't mess this question up with imaginative responses.. although it may be insanely funny at the point of conception) the XFD what 'helper' hardware is needed software that you managed to hook it up with detailed instructions on how to set it up

  • jquery performing calculation on dynamically generated elements

    - by user306472
I have a table made up of a row of 3 input elements: Price, Quanity, and Total. Under that, I have two links I can click to dynamically generate another row in the table. All that is working well, but actually calculating a value for the total element is giving me trouble. I know how to calculate the value of the first total element but I'm having trouble extending this functionality when I add a new row to the table. Here's the html:

Price

Quantity

Total

Add New Remove Here's the jquery I'm using: $(function(){ $('a#add').click(function(){ $('#table > tbody').append('

'); }); $('a#remove').click(function(){ $('#table > tbody > tr:last').remove(); }); }); $(function(){ $('a#calc').click(function(){ var q = $('input#quantity').val(); var p = $('input#price').val(); var tot = (q*p); $('input#total').val(tot); }); }); I'm new to jquery so there's probably a simple method I don't know about that selects the relevant fields I want to calculate. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Microsoft SQL Count problem

    - by Matt
Hey smarties. I'm having trouble with the following SQL statement. I know that I can't do a GROUP BY on the OnlineStatus column, and it makes sense because it's a function call, not an actual column in my table. How would I modify this so that I can get a count of how many users are online? SELECT CASE dbo.fnGetWebUserOnlineStatus(W.Id) WHEN 1 THEN 'Online' WHEN 2 THEN 'Ingame' ELSE 'Offline' END AS OnlineStatus FROM dbo.WebUsers W WHERE W.[Status]=1 GROUP BY OnlineStatus

  • Does iPhone libffi require jailbreak?

    - by Jared P
Hi, I'd like to write an app-store-approvable app for the iPhone OS which uses libffi. Is this allowed? I am capable of rewriting all of the parts that use it with things like NSInvocation without too much trouble, but would prefer libffi. So my question is: would apps that use libffi be accepted to the app store?

  • Escaping escape Characters

    - by Alix Axel
I'm trying to mimic the json_encode bitmask flags implemented in PHP 5.3.0, here is the string I have: $s = addslashes('O\'Rei"lly'); // O\'Rei"lly Doing json_encode($str, JSON_HEX_APOS | JSON_HEX_QUOT) outputs the following: "O'Rei"lly" And I'm currently doing this in PHP versions older than 5.3.0: str_replace(array('"', "\\'"), array('"', '''), json_encode($s)) or str_replace(array('"', '\\\''), array('"', '''), json_encode($s)) Which correctly outputs the same result: "O'Rei"lly" I'm having trouble understanding why do I need to replace single quotes ('\\\'' or even "\\'" [surrounding quotes excluded]) with ''' and not just '''.

  • groovyx.net.ws.WSClient is having problems with ''soapenc:Array' Any workaround?

    - by ?????
I'm trying to call a webservice (implemented with a .NET/ASP system) from groovy/grails using WSClient. I have no trouble accessing this service using the SOAPClient debugger (Todd Ditchendorf's program for OSX), but when i try it via groovy/grails, I get the error undefined simple or complex type 'soapenc:Array' Is there any solution? Looking at it with wireshark: It seems to have thrown this error even before it gets a chance to perform the transaction. The error is thrown right after WSClient has downloaded the second of two schemas referenced in he WSDL.

  • Getting my head around the practical applications of strong and weak pointers in Objective-C

    - by Chris Wilson
I've just read the accepted excellent answer to this question that clarifies the conceptual differences between strong and weak pointers in Objective-C, and I'm still trying to understand the practical differences. I come from a C++ background where these concepts don't exist, and I'm having trouble figuring out where I would use one vs the other. Could someone please provide a practical example, using Objective-C code, that illustrates the different uses of strong and weak pointers?

  • Custom keys with NERDComment plugin and remapped Leader?

    - by Paul Wicks
I'm trying to set up the NERDComment plugin in vim, but I'm having some trouble with the keys. I'd like to set the basic toggle functionality (comment a line if it's uncommented, uncomment if it's commented) to be c. The problem is that I've remapped the Leader to be ,, which is the same key that NERD wants for all of it's hotkeys. Anyone have any idea as to how to set this up?

  • Managing multiple apps with one Google Analytics account?

    - by Charles S.
I've just setup a Google Analytics for Mobile Apps account and I've implemented the SDK in my iPhone app with no trouble at all. However, I haven't figured out how to manage multiple apps with one account. It seems fairly easy to setup multiple subdomains when dealing with websites and I've noticed the javascript code has a setSubdomain function that doesn't seem to be present in the iPhone SDK. Is there any way I can have google analytics differentiate my different apps for the same account?

  • How to generate a unified diff in Ruby?

    - by jstayton
After reading through this question about Ruby diff packages, I'm still not sure how to generate a unified diff from two text files. I'm not having trouble reading each file into a string (IO.read()), but I'm not finding any package that can generate a unified diff. Does one exist? Is doing a system call to diff even an option I should consider? (I'm thinking no.) Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

  • Fabfile with support for sqlalchemy-migrate deployments?

    - by Chris Reid
I have database migrations (with sqlalchemy-migrate) working well in my dev environment. However, I'm a little stumped about how to integrate this into my deployment process. I'm using fabric for deployment but having some trouble scripting the migrations part. The path to the to migrations directory in site-packages is dynamic (due to changing egg version number) and I'd rather not hard code my db password into the fabfile. Does anyone have a fabfile that plays nicely with sqlalchemy-migrate?

  • Databinding a property with a parameter

    - by clawson
I would like to databind to a property that requires arguments. What is the best way do to this? are there work arounds? I'm open to any suggestions. I thought about defining custom columns and cells because the parameters that the property requires are available from the within the object bound to the row, but I'm having trouble materialising this idea. Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Currying a function n times in Scheme

    - by user1724421
I'm having trouble figuring out a way to curry a function a specified number of times. That is, I give the function a natural number n and a function fun, and it curries the function n times. For example: (curry n fun) Is the function and a possible application would be: (((((curry 4 +) 1) 2) 3) 4) Which would produce 10. I'm really not sure how to implement it properly. Could someone please give me a hand? Thanks :)
