    I know how to do it mathematically, but i want it now to do it in c++ using some easy algorithm. Is is possible? The question is that i need some methods/ideas for writing a number N in base M, for example 1410 in base 3: (14)10 = 2*(3^0) + 1*(3^1) + 1*(3^2) = (112)3 etc.

  • Maven deploy:deploy-file not found due to version/timestamp appended to jar

    I'm having a problem using deploy:deploy-file with snapshots I'd like some advice on please. I have 2 projects; 1) Ant based and 2) the other Maven based that consumes the jars of the other project via Archiva. I've added a target to the Ant project to deploy snapshots on every successful build during our iteration. The problem is the Maven project cannot find them because the name of the dependency has a timestamp appended like so: someJar-1.0-20100407.171211-1.jar Here is the Ant target: <exec executable="${maven.bin}" dir="../lib"> <arg value="deploy:deploy-file" /> <arg value="-DgroupId=com.my.package" /><arg value="-DartifactId=${ant.project.name}" /> <arg value="-Dversion=${manifest.implementation.version}-SNAPSHOT" /> <arg value="-Dpackaging=jar" /> <arg value="-Dfile=../lib/${ant.project.name}-${manifest.implementation.version}-SNAPSHOT.jar" /> <arg value="-Durl=http://archiva.xxx.com/archiva/repository/snapshots" /> <arg value="-DrepositoryId=snapshots" /> </exec> I have a similar Ant target for releases and this works fine.     I'm using the automatic build versioning mentioned in this question (not the selected answer but the answer that uses the [assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.*")] technique). I'm doing this in the footer of my Site.Master file in MVC 2. My code for doing this is as follows: <div id="footer"> <a href="emailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a> - Copyright © 2005-<%= DateTime.Today.Year.ToString() %>, foo LLC. All Rights Reserved. - Version: <%= Assembly.GetEntryAssembly().GetName().Version.ToString() %> </div> The exception I get is a Object reference not set to an instance of an object because GetEntryAssembly() returns NULL. My other options don't work either. GetCallingAssembly() always returns "4.0.0.0" and GetExecutingAssembly() always returns "0.0.0.0". When I go look at my DLLs, everything is versioning as I would expect. But I cannot figure out how to access it to display in my footer!!

    Does anyone know if this subversion "bug" has been dealt with? https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/subversion/tags/1.6.9/www/faq.html#windows-access-denied I'm getting occasional "Access Denied" errors on Windows. They seem to happen at random. Why? These appear to be due to the various Windows services that monitor the filesystem for changes (anti-virus software, indexing services, the COM+ Event Notification Service). This is not really a bug in Subversion, which makes it difficult for us to fix. A summary of the current state of the investigation is available here. A workaround that should reduce the incidence rate for most people was implemented in revision 7598; if you have an earlier version, please update to the latest release. Currently I am experiencing this same behavior in version 1.5.6 when I try and do a SVN switch (I have suspected McAfee as the culprit for a while and when I saw this I feel it validates my suspicions). I read through the link given but it seems pretty old, so I didn't know if this FAQ was just outdated and the issue has actually be resolved. Thanks for any help. Scala signature Predef has wrong version Expected 5.0 found: 4.1 in .... scala-library.jar I tried both versions 2.7.6 and 2.8 RC1 of scala-*.jar, the result was the same. JDK is 1.6.u20. UPDATE Today uninstalled IntelliJ 9.0.1, and installed 9.0.2 Early Availability, with the 4/14 stable version of the Scala plug-in.     Hi, Im trying to redirect to facebook to request permission to publish stream. However, it only works when i did not specify any display parameters, it shows me a web version of it. I wanted a wap version instead. What should I do? If I were to change the "redirected url"'s display param to "wap" it will works. However, if I were to submit to https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?display=wap.     I want to bounce users of our web site to an error page if they're using a version of Internet Explorer prior to v9. It's just not worth our time and money to support IE pre-v9. Users of all other non-IE browsers are fine and shouldn't be bounced. To head off a few comments that will probably be coming my way: [1] Yes, I know that users can forge their useragent string. I'm not concerned. [2] Yes, I know that programming pros prefer sniffing out feature-support instead of browser-type but I don't feel this approach makes sense in this case. I already know that all (relevant) non-IE browsers support the features that I need and that all pre-v9 IE browsers don't. Checking feature by feature throughout the site would be a waste. [3] Yes, I know that someone trying to access the site using IE v1 (or = 20) wouldn't get 'badBrowser' set to true and the warning page wouldn't be displayed properly. That's a risk we're willing to take. [4] Yes, I know that Microsoft has "conditional comments" that can be used for precise browser version detection. IE no longer supports conditional comments as of IE 10, rendering this approach absolutely useless. Any other obvious issues to be aware of? Thanks.

    Recently i have begun development of a simple game. It is improved version of an earlier version that i had developed. Large part of the game's success depends on Random number generation in different modes: MODE1 - Truly Random mode myRand(min,max,mode=1); Should return me a random integer b/w min & max. MODE2 - Pseudo Random : Token out of a bag mode myRand(min,max,mode=2); Should return me a random integer b/w min & max. Also should internally keep track of the values returned and must not return the same value again until all the other values are returned atleast once. MODE3 - Pseudo Random : Human mode myRand(min,max,mode=3); Should return me a random integer b/w min & max. The randomisation ought to be not purely mathematically random, rather random as user perceive it. How Humans see RANDOM. * Assume the code is time-critical (i.e. any performance optimisations are welcome) * Pseudo-code will do but an implementation in C is what i'm looking for. * Please keep it simple. A single function should be sufficient (thats what i'm looking for) Thank You
