    Hello I have a problem while trying to run a makefile. I change the path where my java install folder is(C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_18\bin), but when I try to run 'make' from my command line I receive : 'make' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I need to use makefiles for my current application.

  • switch easily between different main()

    I'm using VS2010 I have a project with several headers and one file with the main() function. For testing purposes I'd like to be able to easily another main() function that would instanciate different things than my original main. Is there an easy way to define 2 "main" function, and easily switch between them? The best would be to compile 2 binaries, one that starts at main1() and the other at main2(), or it can be a solution that requires to recompile some files, it doesn't matter

    I often find this strange CDATA tag in XML files: <![CDATA[]]> I have observed that this CDATA tag always comes at the beginning, and then followed by some stuff. But sometimes it is used, sometimes it is not. I assume it is to mark that some "data" will be inserted after that. But what kind of "data"? Isn't anything I write in XML tags some sort of "data"?

I looked to see whether I can install git, Mercurial or TFS in a shared hosting and I did not found any answer. I want to know if you know any system that can be installed on a shared windows hosting and please tell your recommendations if you have had an experience before.

    I need to build Boost with a non-standard set of flags (due to a conflict between Boost threading and C++/CLI). I'm adding the required flag (/clr) using CXXFLAGS, but this flag conflicts with the Boost default /EHs flag (/clr implies /EHa which is incompatible with /EHs), so that needs to be suppressed. Is there a mechanism like CXXFLAGS to suppress a default Boost flag or must I edit all of the compiler specification files by hand?

  • Is Perforce's C++ P4API thread-safe?

    Simple question - is the C++ API provided by Perforce thread-safe? There is no mention of it in the documentation. By "thread-safe" I mean for server requests from the client. Obviously there will be issues if I have multiple threads trying to set client names and such on the same connection. But given a single connection object, can I have multiple threads fetching changelists, getting status, translating files through a p4 map, etc.?

  • Project in Eclipse contains only a .project file

    I have several projects in Perforce that I need to maintain in Eclipse. I did a successful import the first time, but I've since removed all projects from the workspace and deleted the Perforce files from the P4 folder. I'm not very familiar with Perforce so I'm not sure why whenever I try to re-import those projects, all I get is a .project file instead of the whole package. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
