  • Tags/Documentation with SVN Project in Eclipse?

    I've searched around with this and haven't found any clear answers. I'm using Eclipse PDT. It seems that if I create a PHP Project, tags work (@todo, etc). However, if I create a project from SVN (still PHP based), tags don't work at all. Does anyone know how to make tags and doc generation work on a per project basis and still import projects from a SVN repo?

    I want to run scheduled nightly exports of my database code into my SVN source. It's easy to schedule automated check-in's into svn from a folder, but scheduling the export from SQL in SQL Management Studio is Right click target database, choose Tasks Generate Scripts. Follow the wizard and presto you've got scripts in a folder. Is it possible to extract a single script that the wizard generates, and stuff that into a stored proc which I can run nightly? Ideas?

What I'm trying to do is the following: get latest revision/commit number from svn store this revision number as an attribute (so that I can use this to append it to the archive I'm already creating using phing) I don't have a working copy on my server where phing is running, so I cannot use the Phing SvnLastRevisionTask.

But when I run svn diff for these file, Subversion prevents me =================================================================== Cannot display: file marked as a binary type. svn:mime-type = application/octet-stream I can still view them, but only with the --force argument Since all the files in the repository are of this binary code, how can I permanently force subversion to open the files for diff or edit mode?

    Could anyone here let me know how can I check if provided SVN credentials (username and password) are proper? With pysvn there is callback_get_login parameter but in case credentials are wrong, callback is prompted over and over without any way to cancel this and return failure information. Please let me know how can I (not neccesserily with pysvn) check if provided SVN credentials are okay. Thank you in advance!

Password (again) with the message: "Authentication realm: http://svn.myserver.com:80 Subversion" I've checked and my credentials are being stored in Keychain and SVN has access to them. Why won't it use them?

    Is it possible to configure CruiseControl.NET to send an email to the user(s) that did modifications to a broken build by mapping their SVN username to the corresponding Active-Directory alias (hence retrieving the correct, updated email address). Our SVN server is set-up to allow users of a certain Active-Directory group to read and commit changes: I don't want to have to maintain the CruiseControl.NET config every time a user gets added to our Programmers group in Active-Directory.     A lot of times I need to delete a folder and copy another one with the same name. Always this is a place to trouble. What is the best way do do this? The error I got when I trying to commit: Error: Directory Error: '..\trunk\bin\MVCContrib\InputBuilderTemplates\.svn' Error: containing working copy admin area is missing Error: Please execute the 'Cleanup' command. The error I got when I trying to cleanup: '..\trunk\bin\MVCContrib\InputBuilderTemplates\.svn' is not a working copy directory.

  • Prevent IntelliJ from adding iml files

    I'm working with Maven pom files, and I don't wish to source control iml files. When I open a project, IntelliJ seems to add some of the iml files it creates to the SVN source control. How can I prevent this? I have "*.iml" in an "svn:ignore" property on the repository root, but it doesn't seem to prevent IntelliJ from adding the imls.

(Migrating to Git or Mecurial is out of the question at the moment) But wouldn't it be possible to leverage something like, for instance the Git SVN Integration, to create a proxy which acts like a subversion repository for the clients and may be used at the end to synchronize the changes back to subversion?     Is there a way to perform a full text search of a subversion repository, including all the history? For example, I've written a feature that I used somewhere, but then it wasn't needed, so I svn rm'd the files, but now I need to find it again to use it for something else. The svn log probably says something like "removed unused stuff", and there's loads of checkins like that.
