  • How to upload stuff to Amazon EC2 Windows instance?

    I've never used Amazon EC2 - I am thinking to test a few instances for running intensive computation processes I have a requirement for rather than buying real hardware. I am given to understand the thing is quite easy to setup - but I have no clue of how it actually works, in terms of transferring data to my ec2 instances. So the question is how can I upload stuff to my instance? Any help appreciated!

  • Global Address List, Multiple All Address Lists in CN=Address Lists Container

    When my colleges (that was way before my time here) updated Exchange 2000 to 2003 a English All Address Lists appeared in addition to the German variant. The English All Address Lists have German titled GAL below it. This has just been a cosmetic problem for the last few years. Now as we are in the process of rolling out Exchange 2010 this causes some issues. Exchange 2010 picked the wrong i.e. English Address Lists Container to use. In ADSI Editor we see CN=All Address Lists,CN=Address Lists Container,CN=exchange org,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain and CN=Alle Adresslisten,CN=Address Lists Container,CN=exchange org,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain. In the addressBookRoots attribute of CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain both address lists were stored as values. We removed the English variant from addressBookRoots and restarted all (old and new) Exchange servers. User with mailboxes on the Exchange 2003 now only sees the German variant. Exchange 2010 is still stuck with the English/Mixed variant as are Users on Exchange 2010. Our goal would be to have Outlook display the German title of All Address Lists and get rid of the wrong Address Lists Container.

  • Java List use through use of JSTL <c:forEach>

    Hello If I have a JSF backing bean return an object of type ArrayList, I should be able to use to iterate over the elements in the list. Each element contains a map and although the question of how to access the map content through JSTL has been answered here, if I pass an array of such maps, I can't find how to iterate over them and still access the map content using JSTL. There's documentation which refers to simple iterators but not to those whose items are themselves maps. BalusC, I'm not trying to force the issue, just that I've been looking at this all day, and still cannot seem to be able to output the contents of my data structure through jsp (only on the console). This as a separate question still has merit. If anyone can give me a simple example of how a java List is iterated over in JSP I'd be massively appreciative. Mark

    Hi, Let's look at a sample word 2010 file here. In this file you can see that the first group of text has their indent modified. The 2nd, 3rd group keep their default format. I want to apply the changed I've made in the group 1st so group 2nd and 3rd and for the new group I'm going to add instead of recieving the default indent. How can I do that? ps. Currently what I have to do is quite boring: Copy group 1 and paste to create new group to get the formatted, then remove the old text, adding new text :(

    Hi, Out of no particular reason I decided to look for an algorithm that produces all possible choices of k integers between 1...n, where the order amongst the k integer doesn't matter (the n choose k thingy). From the exact same reason, which is no reason at all, I also implemented it in C#. My question is: Do you see any mistake in my algorithm or code? And, more importantly, can you suggest a better algorithm? Please pay more attention to the algorithm than the code itself. It's not the prettiest code I've ever written, although do tell if you see an error. EDIT: Alogirthm explained - We hold k indices. This creates k nested for loops, where loop i's index is indices[i]. It simulates k for loops where indices[i+1] belongs to a loop nested within the loop of indices[i]. indices[i] runs from indices[i - 1] + 1 to n - k + i + 1.     Goal Basically I would like SVN users to be able to browse through a directory containing a lot of subfolders without allowing them to read its subfolders. [/] * = r [/Projects] * = # Allow viewing contents, but not reading. At least to be able to see Project1. [/Projects/Project1] my_group = rw Problem The problem is that there are a lot of projects. I could add every other project and make them disappear for the user, but that would be a lot of work to maintain. I want to search the table and list out any users that share the same non-unique user name. For example, my table looks like this: ID User Name Name == ========= ==== 0 parker Peter Parker 1 parker Mary Jane Parker 2 heroman Joseph (Joey) Carter Jones 3 thehulk Bruce Banner What I want to do is do a SELECT and have the result set be: ID User Name Name == ========= ==== 0 parker Peter Parker 1 parker Mary Jane Parker from my table. I'm not a T-SQL guru. I can do the basic joins and such, but I'm thinking there must be an elegant way of doing this. Barring elegance, there must be ANY way of doing this. Is there a way to get the list delegates to 'pop out' of their cells?     I followed the steps here to integrate reporting services with sharepoint in native mode. I made a page in Sharepoint with the report explorer web part and everything is working. The issue is when I create a report with the web based report builder tool, it will show up in the report manager page, but not show up in the report explorer web part on the share point page. New reports I upload using report manager do show up. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm really stuck.

    I have a server that shares out user home folders over the network. Each user has a Cache folder. Sometimes a symlink is used to redirect this folder to the hard drive of whichever machine they are using (and sometimes that doesn't work and they have a broken symlink [which is a matter for another day].) I'm trying to find out which users have symlinks and which don't. Within the shared folder, to get to the Cache folder you would substitute folders like so: $GRADE/$USERNAME/Library/Caches Right now I'm searching to see which users have symlinks and which do not. Surely, I should be able to do something like: cd /path/to/shared/home/folders sudo ls -ld **/**/Library/Caches I'm afraid that I don't know the proper syntax or if there is a recursive folder-replacing wildcard format in bash, and my google-fu failed me. So, how do I properly formulate the search?

    How to get the total amount of memory used by 32bit applications and 64bit applications from the command line in Windows. I tried using tasklist /FI "MODULES eq wow64.dll" /FO CSV and then parsing the output and summing. But tasklist just freezes with any command that has something to do with modules (tasklist /m and tasklist /fi "modules eq wow64.dll" freeze). Are there any alternatives? Or some idea why tasklist freezes.

    I am looking for a source of nouns, adverbs, adjectives, and verbs in several languages. I'd like the lists to already be split apart, and not have to go through the OED (and non-English equivalents) by hand re-creating said lists. I don't really care about definitions, and I understand some words can be multiple parts of speech - that's fine - words like "many" could be a noun or adjective, and can appear in both lists. Does anyone here know of such a source? If not, might someone be able to point me in the right direction?
