Whenever I edit and mark some events via the calendar app, it is stored in the database but if I edit the calendar.db from some outside source the changes made are not reflected in the calendar app. So my question is: Does the calendar app maintain a cache or some other form of database? If yes then where and how?

    Hello I have a mysql database table to store country name and currency symbol - the CHARSET has correctly set to UTF8. This is example data inserted into the table insert into country ( country_name, currency_name, currency_code, currency_symbol) values ('UK','Pounds','GBP','£'); When I look in the database - the pound symbol appears fine - but when I retrieve it from the database and display it on the website - a weird square symbol shows up with a question mark inside instead of the pound symbol. Korben;http://feeds.feedburner.com/KorbensBlog-UpgradeYourMind?format=xml;1 One problem is escaping the question mark. Java's pattern matcher doesn't seem to accept \? as a valid escape sequence but it also fails to work with the tester at myregexp.com. Here's what I have so far: ([a-zA-Z0-9])+;http://([a-zA-Z0-9./-]+);[0-9]+ Any suggestions?

  • Why doesn't Apple make private APIs inaccessible?

    If Apple doesn't want developers using private APIs in the iPhone SDK, why don't they do something like mark the classes and/or methods with whatever the Objective-C equivalent of C#'s "internal" keyword? If the APIs are spread amongst multiple binaries, Apple could refactor them into dedicated private-API-only binaries to make this easier for them.

    Is it possible for a piece of lua user data to hold reference to a lua object? (Like a table, or another piece of user data?). Basically, what I want to know is: Can I create a piece of userdata in such a way taht when the gc runs, the user data can say: "Hey!     Is there a way to somehow mark Types I do not control as Obsolete? Basically I would like to add ObsoleteAttribute to types I do not want to use in my .net Project (i.e., SerializableAttribute) I believe I can do something like that with FxCop, but ideally I would like to have the compiler already generate warnings for "greylisted" Types? This should be on a Per-Project level, but sadly "Extension Attributes" don't exist, and adding them at Runtime is too late for ObsoleteAttribute...

    I have a custom attribute PackerAttrib which takes no data, simply marking a field or property, which will be used to mark a property or field of a class inherited from Panel in order to serialize it later on. How would I take an instance of any object derived from Panel and get a Directory<string s, object o> where s is the name of the field or property and o is the current value of said field or property from the instance.     Hi, I'm using jsTree and SVG-Edit in the same file but there is a conflict in the active selected item. For example I clicked a tree item then I cannot draw in the svgcanvas div anymore. Maybe because of you click the item in jsTree then it's always selected and the svgcanvad div will not be active anymore? Any help, tips or tutorials will help. Thanks, Mark

Now I wish to add files that exist in another folder on my machine... but I keep getting the following: fatal: pathspec 'Users/mic/OnePageCRMVC/MKTsite25-05/index.html' did not match any files However, the file definitely does exist... Does anyone know if you can use the install of liferay to host dotnet code, not just by using the iFrame method of redirecting to a different site - that just sucks in my opinion Alternatively is the saner option to go down the port my skills back to java?
