    I try to the import my SLES11 to SCOM 2012, but failed. Below is my simple steps and failed error message. Import SLES11 mp DNS resolve both SCOM and SLES11 Install SCOM Agent and cert. Generated the cert from SLES11 then import it to SCOM, and use scxcertconfig -sign to refresh the cert, and back it to SLES11.(I restart the scxadmin on SLES11, and reboot the SCOM ) 5.   • Error installing Copy.com client

    I'm trying to install copy.com's client on Ubuntu 13.10 but when I do, I get the following error message: Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" (CopyAgent:4430): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion 'GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed From there, it initially appears that the Copy client installs correctly. I am prompted to login and their icon shows up in the task bar. However, sync does not work properly. Items placed in my Copy folder on other devices (or through the web interface) sometimes download to this machine, and sometimes don't. I have investigated the first error message and found this solution, that I should insall the libcanberra-gtk-module. But when trying to install it, it is already installed. Just to be sure, I reinstalled it but it seems to have had no effect. I attempted to investigate the second error message and found that lots of different programs give similar error messages, but all of the solutions I could find seemed to be specific to the program that was under discussion on that particular thread. Any thoughts on how I could solve this? Or at least what I can try next?

  • What causes critical glib errors (when coding using messaging menu)?

    If I run the python code below (almost entirely from this useful blog post) then I get three identical nasty looking error messages in the terminal. What might be causing them? I note the number (5857 in the example below) changes slightly on each run. What does this number signify? Is it a memory location or something similar?     We have identified a couple of repeatable, demonstrable scenarios with unexplained rejected folder access on our servers for Mac users. Hopefully, this can be presented to Novell for a solution. What we did to demonstrate scenario 1; 1. setup a PC and Mac side-by-side 2. login to our server and open up to a central location on both Mac and PC 3. on the PC in that central location create a folder 4. on the Mac in that central location drag the created folder to the Mac desktop, this should work fine, no problem 5. on the PC rename that folder 6. on the Mac drag a file to that renamed folder, this should error with the following message; a. You cannot copy some of these items to the destination because their names are too long for the destination. Do you want to skip copying these items and continue copying the other items? b. Select skip, response is the filename is copied to the location with zero or small byte size. Try opening it and you get file is corrupted error message. What we did to demonstrate scenario 2; 1. setup a PC and Mac side-by-side 2. login to our server and open up to a central location on both Mac and PC 3. on the PC in that central location create a folder then create a subfolder 4. copy some content into the subfolder 5. on the Mac in that central location drag the created top level folder to the Mac desktop, this should work fine, no problem 6. on the PC rename that subfolder 7. on the Mac drag that top level folder to the Mac desktop, this should error on the Mac with the following; a. The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for b. The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for 8. on the Mac, if you open that subfolder you can see the file copied in step 4 above but, you can not open that file, you get the following message if you try; a. There was an error opening this document. You do not have permission to open this file. 9. on the PC drag some content into the top level folder 10. on the Mac you can open that file directly from the server or copy it locally, no problem, however-the subfolder is still corrupted or locked, whichever 11. on the PC rename the top level folder 12. on the Mac that same file just opened in step 10 above is now not accessible, get the following message; a. The document could not be opened. I have observed some variances in the above. For instance, a change on the PC side may take a moment before you can observer or act on the Mac side - kind of like the server is slow to respond. Also, the error message may vary. However, the key is once a folder, or subfolder, gets renamed by a PC, Mac problems commence. The solution is to create a new folder from a PC and copy the contents of the corrupted folder to the new folder and not rename the folder name. This has to be done on a PC because the corrupted folder is not accessible by a Mac user. Another problem that dovetails with the above is that we know certain characters are not allowed for PC folder or filenames. If a Mac user creates a folder with a slash in the file name, from the PC the user does not see that slash in the name. As soon as the PC user copies a file to that folder, the Mac user is locked from that folder. Will get the following error message; - Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred. - (Error code - 50) In addition to the above mentioned character issue with folders, the problem is more evil with filenames. If, for example, you create a file with a slash in the filename on a Mac and copy it to the server you will get the following error message; - You cannot copy some of these items to the destination because their names are too long for the destination. Do you want to skip copying these items and continue copying the other items? Select either Stop or Skip buttons. It does not matter which button is selected. The file name gets copied to the destination location at a reduced size. Depending on the file type, the icon associated with the file may or may not be present. Furthermore, if you open that file on the server you will get the following message; - Couldnt open the file. It may be corrupt or a file format that doesnt recognize. From the users perspective, if they are not observant of the icon or file size, they may disregard the error message and think their file has copied as intended. Only later do they discover the file is corrupt if they open that file. I want to make a note on this problem. It is the PC causing the issue. You can change folder and file names all day on a MAC and you don't have a problem as long as a character is not the issue. Once you change the file name or folder name from a PC the entire folder structure from that level down is corrupted. But it has to be resolved from a PC by creating a new folder and copying the contents to the new folder like stated above. Is something not configured correctly?   • Can't access any functions after chown command.

    I am not being to access any functions in my desktop and I don't have an OS besides Ubuntu and I am new to Ubuntu. I think I rebooted my computer thinking that Google Chrome crashed. I opened Google Chrome but it showed opening message but never opened so I restarted my computer. and when my system was loading (I was playing with keyboard dont know what I typed) and when by Ubuntu loaded, I was unable to access anything some of characteristics are listed below: I cannot hear any sound I cannot access wired ethernet connection on the right corner where I usually enable to access internet and I have no internet. There is no local apache server either. when ever I try to start apacer I get setuid must be root or something. When I type sudo then I get message setuid must be root. I cannot access orther external storage devices like pendrive and portable hard drive and cannot mount my other drives with FAT32 filesystem. When I try to start my apache webserver with out typing sudo then I get message cannnot open socket or something like it. I remember also doing command chown -R www-data / earlier and got error message I cannot shutdown my computer, it only logs off

  • OpenBSD ftp-proxy behind NAT itself

    Is it possible to change the PASV IP ftp-proxy of OpenBSD sends to clients, without changing the listen address of redirection control (-b <address>)? I have the following setup: FTP client --> 1:1 NAT router --> OpenBSD router --> FTP server The 1:1 NAT router has a NAT rule to forward everything to the OpenBSD router, the OpenBSD router runs the ftp-proxy -R <FTP server IP>. When the FTP client sends the PASV command, the proxy answers with the Entering Passive Mode (227) message with his own source IP on the interface to the 1:1 NAT router (obviously). Since the 1:1 NAT router is not protocol aware, it forwards this message and the client receives the message with the PASV IP of the OpenBSD router, which it does not have a route to. Is there a way, that I can tell ftp-proxy to send the Entering Passive Mode message with a different source IP?

    Thunderbird does not delete messages from the POP server. I am a Yahoo Plus user and I can download messages from the inbox in Thunderbird from the Yahoo POP3 server. However, I want to delete read messages directly on the email client rather than go to Yahoo mail. OK, boys and girls, here is the way to do it. Go to Options- Advanced - Config Editor find the Name 'mail . pop3 . deleteFromServerOnMove' Set it to True True: Delete the copy of the message on the POP3 server if you move or delete the message. False(default): Only delete the copy of the message on the POP3 server if you delete the message. That's it, restart Thunderbird. You need to press 'Get Mail' everytime you want to sync with the email server, in order for you to make sure messages in the application is in sync with the email server.**

    Our office is closing for the holidays, and I want to setup an auto reply if anyone attempts to email. Rather than get everyone to do it individually I want to set a blanket message on the Exchange 2010 server. Looking around here I found hub transport rules can be used, but I don't want to send a rejection message, like in this post I want to keep the message but just say that we won't get back to you fora couple of weeks. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Is it possible to change, in the message list of Thunderbird 3.0, the highlight color of the selected message when the list does not have the focus? The highlight color for the selected row is blue when the list has the focus, this is very clear. But when the list does not have the focus (e.g. after when you click in the message preview area), the highlight color is dark grey. However, this dark grey doesn't really stand out against the alternating row highlighting in the list (at least not on my laptop's LCD screen), making it difficult for me to quickly locate the message I've selected. So, any way to change this dark grey highlighting?

I've only had time to embed one kitten so far, but the eventual aim is for a random different kitten to appear each time. The psychological health benefits of a dose of kittens in the daily life of the developer are obvious. My only concern is that people will complain after paying for .NET Demon that the kittens are gone.

    Is there any way to get rid of the drop down cc bcc reply-to etc. field menu in the compose new message window in Mail in Mac OS X Snow Leopard? The offending menu is the one immediately to the left of the Subject field when composing a new message, and it interrupts me as I try to tab from To: to Subject: to the message body. If you know of any way to be rid of it, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!

    I'm regularly receiving emails from a well-known public website that read as plain text without carriage breaks or effective hyperlinks. My email client is Thunderbird. Thunderbird helpsite doesn't display an answer. And I'm reluctant to complain to the website if the problem is at my end. Message source for headers includes this: Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=--boundary_9338_03b8c925-816e-4b55-95c4-b2593da7e5f6 The content in message source that follows the header is preceded by this: ----boundary_9338_03b8c925-816e-4b55-95c4-b2593da7e5f6 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 The content itself in message source reads typically like this: PCFkb2N0eXBlIGh0bWwgcHVibGljICItLy9XM0MvL0RURCBIVE1MIDQuMCBUcmFuc2l0aW9u YWwvL0VOIj4NCg0KDQo8aHRtbD4NCjxoZWFkPg0KPG1ldGEgaHR0cC1lcXVpdj0iQ29udGVu, etc.,etc. And, as I've said, the message in the viewing pane is unadulterated plain text.   • Limiting calls to WCF services from BizTalk

    ** WORK IN PROGRESS ** This is just a placeholder for the full article that is in progress. The problem My BTS solution was receiving thousands of messages at once. After processing by BTS I needed to send them on via one of several WCF services depending on the message content. The problem is that due to the asynchronous nature of BizTalk the WCF services were getting hammered and could not cope with the load. Note: It is possible to limit the SOAP calls in the BtsNtSvc.exe.Config file but that does not have the desired results for Net-TCP WCF services. The solution So I created a new MessageType for the messages in question and posted them to the BTS messaeg box. This schema included the URL they were being sent to as a promoted property. I then subscribed to the message type from a new orchestraton (that does just the WCF send) using the URL as a correlation ID. This created a singleton orchestraton that was instantiated when the first message hit the message box. It then waits for further messages with the same correlation ID and type and processs them one at a time using a loop shape with a timer (A pretty standard pattern for processing related messages) Image to go here This limits the number of calls to the individual WCF services to 1. Which is a good start but the service can handle more than that and I didn't want to create a bottleneck. So I then constructed the Correlation ID using the URL concatinated with a random number between 1 and 10. This makes 10 possible correlation IDs per URL and so 10 instances of the singleton Orchestration per WCF service. Just what I needed and the upper random number is a configuration value in SSO so I can change the maximum connections without touching the code.

    Since a little time I can't use Exchange Management Console on an exchange 2007 server because of a message which tell me that get-ExchangeServer return that active directory of my server is available. My config is : Windows server 2008 sp2 wit roles : DNS IIS Active Directory RAS and Exchange server 2007.     Just few hours ago FileZilla was working fine. Then, suddenly I started to get this error: Status: Resolving address of ftp.readtypechinese.com Status: Connecting to 69.175.14.60:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Error: Connection timed out Error: Could not connect to server And it happens with all my sites: Status: Resolving address of edasich.dreamhost.com Status: Connecting to 173.236.223.223:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Error: Connection timed out Error: Could not connect to server I'm using FileZilla 3.5.0 and Ubuntu 11.10. Any suggestions to fix this?
