  I want to achieve the following with Postfix: Run all emails through a black list Allow any clients sending to a list of domains Allow some clients sending to any domain This is what I have: (postfix is on 10.0.8.0 and some of the senders are 10.0.8.0 and 10.0.9.0) mynetworks_style = subnet smtpd_recipient_restrictions = check_recipient_access sqlite:/etc/postfix/access-bl.query, check_client_access hash:/etc/postfix/trusted_clients, check_recipie nt_access hash:/etc/postfix/local_domains, reject_unauth_destination, permit So, right now the black list works. File /etc/postfix/trusted_clients contains who can send anywhere (3), file /etc/postfix/local_domains contains where you can send (2). Those two are fine, they return properly. My problem is getting all three working together. Not sure if it's an ordering issue. Currently sending a test from 10.0.9.17 and I get Relay access denied. If I add: mynetworks = 10.0.8.0/24 10.0.9.0/24 then anyone can send anywhere, so #2 is not working. Postfix version is 2.10 on Ubuntu 14.04. Any ideas?

• SSD with multiple partitions - disk life implications

  Each block on a SSD has a finite number of writes. This is mitigated on modern drives by "spreading" the writes around as you use the drive. I'm wondering if you partition a SSD into several partitions (a Mac using Boot Camp, for example) if this measure is defeated somewhat - can the writes be spread across the entire drive? Or are they contained strictly within the partition boundaries? Any SSD controller engineers here :)?

Since we decided to push all three applications to the user .How to make the applications to use its particular version. There are few web based apps and enterprise apps which requires only a specific set of java versions which is creating issues. Os : Win 7 IE - ver 8 Work around In Progress : Trying to apply a batch file for each app to set the require java version path , but its not the required solution. Do we have any generic way which automatically maps to its required java version , instead of running batch file for each application. Looking forward your valuable suggestions.

• Using SSH to find access to a problematic script in logs of multiple domains

  I run several (~20) sites on a Dreamhost VPS. Lately I max my memory allocation for the VPS and I want to find the problem. I would like to have an SSH script that will scan all the log files of all the domains and show me what object (image, php script etc) gets lots of calls. It will count the calls in each /logs/*/http/access.log, do an descending sort and show me the top 10 across domains. But I don't know how to do that. Can it be done? • Multiple mouse settings on laptop?

  I'm wondering if this is possible. I use a macbook, running windows 7...when I don't have an external mouse connected, I leave the left/right settings of the buttons to the default. But when I plug in a mouse, I change that setting (since I use the mouse left-handed). When I unplug the mouse, I would like it to revert to the "unplugged" setting. Is there a way to get windows to remember mouse settings based on which device it's using?

  I've used primarily FF's built-in session management until recently. Now my needs have become more sophisticated. What I want is to be able to have two windows, one with a fixed set of tabs (approximately 5) and the other with "automatic save". That is, when I start FF, I want 1 window to open with my 5 tabs, and another to open with whatever I had when I shut down FF. I've installed "Session Manager", but I can't seem to get it to do what I want. It will save one window, but when I close one window, it removes that one from the session. Any suggestions to do this with either Session Manager or another plugin would be great.

  My situation is: The code is not mine I have two kinds of database: one is Dad, one is Son. In Dad, I have a table to store JNDI name. I will look up Dad using JNDI, create entity manager, and retrieve this table. From these retrieved JNDI names, I will create multiple entity managers using multiple Son databases. The problem is: Son have thousands of entities. It takes each Son database around 10 minutes to load all entities. If there is 4 Son databases, it will be 40 minutes. My question: Is there any way to load all entities and use them for all entity manager?   Dear all, I just created a new POP3 account in my 2003 Outlook. I checked the settings and the Inbox-Outbox are working well. However if I send from my standard Outlook POP3 account a mail to my Second one I do not receive it. I receive the message: 550-Mailbox unknown. Either there is no mailbox associated with this 550-name or you do not have authorization to see it. 550 5.1.1 User unknown Does anybody know how to fix this. Many thanks.Peter

  If you're a Firefox user you know that if you have 10 tabs open and say you're in the tab #5. If you open a new tab which will become #11 in order and search something, after you finish and close this #11 tab Firefox will direct you the the last active tab you were in which is #5. Using Vimperator You won't get the similar effect. In the same scenario, while you're in tab #5 you can go t and search for something which will lead to opening a tab at #11. Now you press d and where you are now ? #10 and you need to ctrl+p all the way back to #5. So in this case I am looking for one of these solutions. to be able to open a tab straight after the current tab (which closing it will capital D will put me back to my active tab) a way to close a tab and being brought back to the last active tab that I worked on. Will appreciate it if somebody got a solution for this. thanks

• Single Form with Multiple Dynamic Buttons

  I've spent hours/days trying to figure this out and now I'm completely perplexed so I thought I'd give stackoverflow a try. I'm (a newb) working in Java/JSP using Eclipse hosting on Google App Engine trying to develop an app for a volunteer organization I'm a member of. Rather than embarrass myself by showing my current code I'd love just a nudge in the right direction. I have a form (which doubles as a report basically) showing "people" grouped under the "task" they are currently working on. I would like to select multiple people from multiple tasks and reassign them to another task e.g. Bill and Jane are Gardening, Jeff is Painting. I want to select Jane and Jeff (all people have an associated checkbox in the form) and re-assign them to Sweeping (which is a task on the form but has no people assigned to it yet). Ideally, the re-assignment to Sweeping would be via a Sweeping button (each task would have a dynamically-created task button) that would pass the "Sweeping" value to a servlet along with an array or list of people whose checkbox has been checked. The servlet would handle the request (creating an Assignment "object/entity" with timeStamp, personId, taskId) and then re-direct back to the form/report which would then repaint with the current tasks/people generated from the Assignments class in the datastore. All the tasks are user-defined and retrieved from the database when building the form. Ditto the people. I've been trying to keep the jsp for presentation and the servlets for the processing but I'm no purist and would just like to get unstuck. Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

• MySQL Master-Master w/ multiple read slave cost effective setup in AWS

  I've been evaluating Amazon Web Services RDS for MySQL and costing out potential scenarios involving a simple multi-AZ deployment read/write setup vs. a multi-AZ deployment mysql master (hot-standby) with additional read-only slaves. the issue I'm trying to cost-optimize includes their reserved instance vs on-demand instances. Situation 1: purchase reserved multi-az setup for Extra-large-hi-mem(17GB RAM) instance for $5200/yr and have my application query the master all the time. the problem is, if I don't need all the resources of the (17GB RAM) all the time and therefore, especially not a hot-standby, what alternatives for savings can a better topology create, like potentially situation 2 below: Situation 2: purchase reserved multi-az setup using smaller master instances than above for the master-master hot-standby to receive the writes only. Then create and load balance several read-only slaves off the master and add/remove and/or scale up/down the read slaves based on demand. This might only cost $1000 + the on-demand usage of the read slaves. My thinking is, if I have a variable read-intensive application load, with low write load, the single level topology in situation 1 means I'm paying for a lot of resources at the write level of topology when I don't need them there. My hope is that situation 2 can yield cost savings from smaller reserved instances on the master-master resource level allowing me to scale up and down and/or out on the read-level according to demand as needed. Does anyone see a downside to doing this or know of some reason this isn't possible with RDS? Any other thoughts or advice always welcome of course. Thanks in advance, R

  Hi, I'm trying to create a small web app that is used to remove items from a MySQL table. It just shows the items in a HTML table and for each item a button [delete]: item_1 [delete] item_2 [delete] ... item_N [delete] To achieve this, I dynamically generate the table via PHP into a HTML form. This form has then obviously N [delete]-buttons. The form should use the POST-method for transfering data. For the deletion I wanted to submit the ID (primary key in the MySQL table) of the corresponding item to the executing php skript. So I introduced hidden fields (all these fields have the name='ID' that store the ID of the corresponding item. However, when pressing an arbitrary [delete], it seems to submit always just the last ID (i.e. the value of the last ID hidden field). Is there any way to submit just the ID field of the corresponding item without using multiple forms? Or is it possible to submit data from multiple forms with just one submit-button? Or should I even choose any completly different way? The point why I want to do it in just one single form is that there are some "global" parameters that shall not be placed next to each item, but just once for the whole table.

• NX Client for Windows 7 Opens Remote Desktop in Multiple Windows

  What I'm trying to do: access my Ubuntu desktop remotely via NX Client on my Windows 7 laptop. My environment: server: Ubuntu 10.10 on AMD 1Ghz/512MB RAM PC client: Windows 7 on ThinkPad sl510 Software: server is running NXServer 3.4.0. Using xfce4 window manager. Laptop is using NXClient for Windows In my NX Client "Desktop" settings I've selected "Unix" and "Custom" for OS and environment. I've also specified "startxfce4" as the application to launch when NX connects. I am able to authenticate an NX session on my laptop. By this I mean, I can start the client on my laptop, enter credentials for my Linux user, and NX establishes a connection to the server and attempts to open a remote desktop window. The problem, though, is that this remote desktop is "fragmented" into many Windows. One window will display the bulk of my desktop (complete with desktop icons for "Home," "File System," and "Trash") while another window will contain the taskbar, and another window will contain the application strip. I can select each of these Windows individually, but I cannot click on any objects within them. I've searched Super User, Ubuntu Forums, NX help, Server Fault, and tried many Google searches - none have turned up another case of this particular problem. I'm stumped. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might try? I'm guessing the problem has to do with my xfce config files, but I've only just setup this server - it's been a long time since I've used Linux and there's a lot I just don't know. What I am NOT trying to do: use Desktop sharing from Ubuntu, whereby I VNC into a desktop that I've already established on the server. I am trying to configure this Linux box as a headless server that I can stash someplace out-of-the-way in my house, then interact with through my laptop. I don't want to have a monitor or keyboard connected to the Linux box. Thanks for your help!

  I have a Windows 2008 server connecting to an iSCSI target on an OpenSolaris box (yay ZFS!). I'd like to create a private network between the 2 boxes that is totally separate of my Windows domain. What is the best way to configure the additional network adapter on the Windows machine so it doesn't think the new subnet is part of the Windows domain? I want to make sure Windows doesn't magically start spewing active directory communications over the private wire and that it doesn't start poisoning the DNS with IPs from the private network.

I've just been reading up on SQL Server 2012 Express and noticed that it's CPU is "Limited to lesser of 1 Socket or 4 cores" (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645993(v=SQL.110).aspx) My question is how do the SQL Server 2012 limits on CPUs/Cores translate into vCPU-s? Are they "processors" or are they "cores"?

• Remote logging for multiple Apache virtual hosts using syslog-ng

  I'm running a couple Apache web servers that each have 4-8 separate virtual hosts on each of them. I'm trying to setup a dedicated log server that stores each virtual host access and errors logs in a separate directory for that virtual host. For example on the logging server, /var/log/remove/10.0.0.2/virtualhost1 contains access_log and error_log /var/log/remove/10.0.0.2/virtualhost2 contains access_log and error_log /var/log/remove/10.0.0.3/virtualhost3 contains access_log and error_log and so on... Right now I have it split up by host but I can't figure out how to do it additionally by virtual host. Here are the relevant lines from the logging server's syslog-ng.conf source r_src { tcp(ip("0.0.0.0") port(5140)); }; destination r_all { file("/opt/splunk/logs/$HOST"); }; log { source(r_src); destination(r_all); }; Any help would be appreciated.   Dear all, I have a following question. I have to generate many files based on sql query. Let's say for example, I have get from database a list of orders made today and genarate file for each order and later store each file on ftp. Ideally I would like to get follewing. Not quite sure how to get it. from(MyBean).to(Ftp) The problem and main question is how to generate multiple messages by custom bean (for example). I am not sure if splitter EIP is ok in this case because in my case I have not just one message to split, but I just have to generate and send many messages. http://camel.apache.org/splitter.html I hope, someone meet this problem before. If the task will be to generate just one file - everything is quite simple - you need just fill Exchange.OutMessage (or something like this). But what about multiple files - I really can't get, how to manage this situation. P.S. Sorry if this question is stupid. I am novice in Camel (working with it just for coupe weeks). • ntop to analyse bandwidth usage on multiple ASA 5505

  I have set up a netflow server at our data centre, which is connected via VPN to ~40 remote offices using Cisco ASA 5505. The aim is to analyse usage data and find out exactly how the remote connections are being used. I followed through http://techowto.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/ntop-guide.pdf to set up ntop and https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-6114 to set up the ASAs. I can see from the Plugin Netflow Statistics page that netflow packets from my ASAs are being received - the counter is increasing. However, I am not seeing any breakdown on the Global Traffic Statistic page after switching to the Netflow interface. I'm just seeing a pie chart showing 100% traffic for eth0. The interfaces and documentation are a little hard to follow so I am not sure I have got things configured correctly. When setting up my NetFlow-device.2 I can specify Virtual NetFlow Interface Network Address - the web UI says This value is in the form of a network address and mask on the network where the actual NetFlow probe is located. is this a Network address (e.g. 192.168.0.0/24) or an actual host IP address (192.167.0.1/24)? If that should be a network address, is this the network in which one of my ASAs is or the network in which my ntop server is? If a host IP address, is this the IP address used by eth0 on my ntop server, the IP address of an ASA, or something else? Do I need a separate virtual interface for each ASA I am collecting netflow data from? Any guidance would be greatly welcome.
