  • How to get HandleUnauthorizedRequest to return correct url?

    - by Jova
I'm writing a custom AuthorizeAttribute which should redirect unauthorized users to the login page. My HandleUnauthorizedRequest method looks like this, protected override void HandleUnauthorizedRequest(AuthorizationContext filterContext) { RouteValueDictionary returnRoute = new RouteValueDictionary(); returnRoute["controller"] = "Account"; returnRoute["action"] = "Login"; returnRoute["returnUrl"] = filterContext.HttpContext.Request.Url.AbsolutePath; filterContext.Result = new RedirectToRouteResult(returnRoute); } Unfortunately it's not working properly as the returning url looks like this, www.mydomain.com/?controller=Account&action=Login&returnUrl=%2FUser%2FEditProfile%2FUsername What is the reason for this and how do I correct it?

  • AJAX Return Problem from data sent via jQuery.ajax

    - by Anthony Garand
I am trying to receive a json object back from php after sending data to the php file from the js file. All I get is undefined. Here are the contents of the php and js file. data.php <?php $action = $_GET['user']; $data = array( "first_name" = "Anthony", "last_name" = "Garand", "email" = "[email protected]", "password" = "changeme"); switch ($action) { case '[email protected]': echo $_GET['callback'] . '('. json_encode($data) . • Why am I getting: InvalidOperationException: Failed to map the path '/app42/App_Code/'.

    - by serialhobbyist
I've been working on a little Silverlight utility which calls a Silverlight web service. It works from my dev machine (XPsp2). I've tried publishing it to a 2008 R2 IIS 7.5 server and it doesn't work when trying to contact the web service. So I've tried using the WcfTestClient to connect to the web service. That gave an error. So I turned off CustomErrors and used IE and I get the following. Any idea why? There's no App_Code folder in the app. Failed to map the path '/app42/App_Code/'. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. • Return automatic download JQuery Ajax Call

    - by krio
I use the Ajax JQuery command to call a PHP script that generates a CSV file and returns a link to that file for the user to download. I would like to make this more user friendly by automatically starting the download so the user sees the browsers "Save or Open" window instead of having to click the download link. I'm guessing I need to somehow change the headers in the Ajax success callback function?? I'm not really sure what I should be titling my searches or even if this is possible. Thanks!

  • virtual directory make file copy operation extremely slow on UNC Path (IIS 7.5 bug?)

    - by user144737
When i create a website/virtual directory pointing to UNC path, its make our file copy extremely slow on the UNC path. 6 seconds for file copy (~13 M) on the UNC path without any virtual directory/website pointing to it. over 1 mins. for file copy (same files ~13M) on the same UNC path with virtual directory/website pointing to it. All file copy operation run on web server side. Our setting as below: Web server - Windows Server standard R2 2008 / IIS 7.5 File server - Windows Server standard 2003 I have tested this case on 3 servers (Windows Server standard R2 2008 / IIS 7.5) and got same result. I also tested this case on 2 windows 2003 / IIS 6, it won't slow down the file copy. Is it IIS 7.5 bug? any patch/hotfix to solve this case? Thank you. Gordon

  • ETL Operation - Return Primary Key

    - by user302254
I am using Talend to populate a data warehouse. My job is writing customer data to a dimension table and transaction data to the fact table. The surrogate key (p_key) on the fact table is auto-incrementing. When I insert a new customer, I need my fact table to reflect the id of the related customer. As I mentioned my p_key is auto auto_incrementing so I can't just insert an arbitrary value for the p_key. Any thought on how I can insert a row into my dimension table and still retrieve the primary key to reference in my fact record? Thanks.

  • Intercept page request behind firewall return altered content with php and apache

    - by Matthew
I'm providing free wifi service and need an ad to be added to all page requests. Currently I have a router forwarding all http requests to an apache server, which redirects all requests to an index.php page. The index.php page reads the request, fetches the content from the appropriate site, and edits the content to include the ad. The problem is that all images and css files etc. cannot be accessed, because when the browser tries to get the image <img src="site.com/image.jpg"> it's just redirected back to the index.php. I can change settings for the router (running dd-wrt) and the webserver (apache2 and php 5.2). Is there a solution that allows content to be edited before returning to the client, and allows css and images to be accessed?

  • How to return a MVC View to a $.Ajax JSON POST

    - by flascuba
I am sending a $.Ajax POST to a MVC Controller function with parameters and returning a JasonResult successfully. What I need to happen is that the current View be returned (as if it was not a JSON request and I was returning the Viewdata). The Viewdata has been updated and the page needs to be redrawn. In short, I want the MVC Action to respond back to the $Ajax request correctly, and then have the page redrawn using the updated Viewdata. Hope this makes sense, coming down with a bad cold.

  • SIlverlight 4RC threading - can a new Thread return the UI Thread

    - by Darko Z
Hi all, Let's say I have a situation in Silverlight where there is a background thread (guaranteed to NOT be the UI thread) doing some work and it needs to create a new thread. Something like this: //running in a background thread Thread t = new Thread(new ThreadStart(delegate{}); t.Start(); Lets also say that the UI thread at this particular time is just hanging around doing nothing. Keeping in mind that I am not that knowledgeable about the Silverlight threading model, is there any danger of the new Thread() call giving me the UI thread? The motivation or what I am trying to achieve is not important - I do not want modification to the existing code. I just want to know if there is a possibility of getting the UI thread back unexpectedly. Cheers

  • Rails 3 - yield return or callback won't call in view <%= yield(:sidebar) || render('shared/sidebar'

    - by rzar
Hey folks, I'm migrating a Website from Rails 2 (latest) to Rails 3 (beta2). Testing with Ruby 1.9.1p378 and Ruby 1.9.2dev (2010-04-05 trunk 27225) Stuck in a situation, i don't know which part will work well. Suspect yield is the problem, but don't know exactly. In my Layout Files I use the following technique quite often: app/views/layouts/application.html.erb: <%= yield(:sidebar) || render('shared/sidebar') %> For Example the partial look like: app/views/shared/_sidebar.html.erb: <p>Default sidebar Content. Bla Bla</p> Now it is time for the key part! In any view, I want to create a content_for block (optional). This can contain a pice of HTML etc. example below. If this block is set, the pice HTML inside should render in application.html.erb. If not, Rails should render the Partial at shared/_sidebar.html.erb on the right hand side. app/views/books/index.html.erb: <% content_for :sidebar do %> <strong>You have to read REWORK, a book from 37signals!</strong> <% end %> So you've got the idea. Hopefully. This technique worked well in any Rails 2.x Application. Now, in Rails 3 (beta2) only the yield Part is working. || render('shared/sidebar') The or side will not process by rails or maybe ruby. Thanks for input and time!

How should I restructure the above code that I do not get this warning and what is the concept I am missing here?

  • CSharpCodeProvider doesn't return compiler warnings when there are no errors

    - by Sandor Drieënhuizen
I'm using the CSharpCodeProvider class to compile a C# script which I use as a DSL in my application. When there are warnings but no errors, the Errors property of the resulting CompilerResults instance contains no items. But when I introduce an error, the warnings suddenly get listed in the Errors property as well. string script = @" using System; using System; \\ generate a warning namespace MyNamespace { public class MyClass { public void MyMethod() { \\ uncomment the next statement to generate an error \\intx = 0; } } } "; CSharpCodeProvider provider = new CSharpCodeProvider( new Dictionary<string, string>() { { "CompilerVersion", "v4.0" } }); CompilerParameters compilerParameters = new CompilerParameters(); compilerParameters.GenerateExecutable = false; compilerParameters.GenerateInMemory = true; CompilerResults results = provider.CompileAssemblyFromSource( compilerParameters, script); foreach (CompilerError error in results.Errors) { Console.Write(error.IsWarning ? "Warning: " : "Error: "); Console.WriteLine(error.ErrorText); } So how to I get hold of the warnings when there are no errors? By the way, I don't want to set TreatWarningsAsErrors to true.

  • NSArray in NSArray do not return the image I want

Ican't figure why... dos any fresh spirit here could provide me with some clue to fix. maaany thanks.

  • Using LINQ Group By to return new XElements

    - by Jon
    I have the following code and got myself confused: I have a query that returns a set of records that have been identified as duplicates and I then want to create a XElement for each one. This should be done in one query I think but I'm now lost. var f = (from x in MyDocument.Descendants("RECORD") where itemsThatWasDuplicated.Contains((int)x.Element("DOCUMENTID")) group x by x.Element("DOCUMENTID").Value into g let item = g.Skip(1) //Ignore first as that is the valid one select item ); var errorQuery = (from x in f let sequenceNumber = x.Element("DOCUMENTID").Value let detail = "Sequence number " + sequenceNumber + " was read more than once" select new XElement("ERROR", new XElement("DATETIME", time), new XElement("DETAIL", detail), new XAttribute("TYPE", "DUP"), new XElement("ID", x.Element("ID").Value) ) );

  • Calling Oracle Function with "complex" return value from C#

    - by devdimi
I have an Oracle function returning record defined in the package, so one can do: select a,b,c FROM my_function(...); Calling this oracle function from .NET is as simple as executing normal sql query. Unfortunately the function has to do updates now and when it is called like this Oracle complains that updates are not allowed within selects and that makes sense. So now I am left with the choice to change the function call or to split the function. Basically I have to get rid of the select in the function call and need something like this in C#: EXEC :var:= my_func(...); where the type of var is custom tuple defined in the package. I have already tried using ParameterDirection.ReturnValue without success. Does anyone have an idea?

  • When the request xml with extra elements, return Unmarshalling Error in CXF 2.2.7

    - by yunchat
    The wsdl as following: <xs:complexType name="GetCompositionDto" <xs:complexContent <xs:extension base="tns:baseDto" <xs:sequence <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="itemCode" type="xs:string"/ <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="compositionVersion" type="xs:string"/ </xs:sequence </xs:extension </xs:complexContent </xs:complexType After I updated the CXF the jars. from cxf-2.1.4, jaxb-Impl-2.1.9, jaxb-xjc-2.1.9 To cxf-2.2.7, jaxb-Impl-2.1.12, jaxb-xjc-2.1.12. When I request the XML with following: <itemCodeaa</itemCode <compositionVersionbb</compositionVersion <h22</h --- extra element Displays Errors: Unmarshalling Error: unexpected element (uri:"", local:"h"). Expected elements are <{}itemCode,<{}compositionVersion I know the 'h' doesn't map the element in WSDL. But It's OK in the cxf-2.1.4 version. How can i solve this problem? thanks.

  • AJAX call in for loop won't return values to correct array positions

    - by Heilemann
I need to get a range of pages using AJAX and put them into an array, where their given place in the array is equal to the i of a for loop (it's a caching-like function for blog pages, and the range of the for loop is entirely variable). I'm doing something akin to the following: var bongo = new Array(); for (i = 0; i < 10; i++) { jQuery.ajax({ type: "GET", url: http://localhost, data: queryString, success: function(request) { bongo[i] = request } }) } The problem is, that unless I add async: false to the .ajax options (which would make it... SJAX?), which causes the requests to basically pause the browser, going against what I'm trying to do, the i in the success callback will always end up being 11, whereas I of course want it to pour the returned data into each slot of the array from 0 to 10. I've tried replacing the line with this: bongo[i] = jQuery.ajax({ type: "GET", url: http://localhost, data: queryString }).responseText But that made no difference.
