    i don't understand this at all. I try to open a db located in my SD card this way: db = SQLiteDatabase.openDatabase(myPath, null, SQLiteDatabase.NO_LOCALIZED_COLLATORS | SQLiteDatabase.OPEN_READONLY); But in that very line it throws this exception: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: attempt to write a readonly database It doesen't happen in my other devices, just this one that has android 2.3.3

  • Why MAMP sets to 600 MySQL file permission?

    I usually put MAMP MySQL /db/db-site-name folder under SVN. When MAMP starts, it gives the drw------- (600) permission to all the files and dir in that folder. I have a problem because one of these folder is .svn one, that have to be drwxr-xr-x (755), otherwise I can't access to SVN working copy with my client. Can anyone help me to set MAMP properly?

I only have the SQLite db stored on a share so a cluster of failover computers can take over where one machine left off. Are there any inherent problems with that approach?

    I have this code: Category selectedCategory = (from c in DB.Category.Include("SubCategory") join a in DB.Accessory on c.AccCatUID equals a.Category.AccCatUID where a.AccUID == currentAccessory.AccUID select c).FirstOrDefault(); It works fine, selectedCategory gets populated as expected. BUT selectedCategory has a child table 'SubCategory' which does not get loaded even though there is the include there. It is not loaded until I do this: selectedCategory.SubCategory.Load(); Why do I have to call load explicitly in order to load the child table?

    For a project I would like to invoke the MBR on the first harddisk directly from DOS. I've written a small assembler program that loads the MBR in memory at 0:7c00h an does a far jump to it. I've put my util on a bootable floppy. The disk (HD0, 0x80) i'm trying to boot has a TrueCrypt boot loader on it. It shows up the TrueCrypt screen, but after typing in the password it crashes the system. When I run my little utlility (w00t.com) on a normal WinXP machine it seams to crash immedealty. Apparently I'm forgetting some crucial stuff the BIOS normally does, my guess is it's something trivial. Can someone with better bare-metal DOS and BIOS experience help me out?     Hi, I'm looking for ideas on how to best match two hash tables containing string key/value pairs. Here's the actual problem I'm facing: I have structured data coming in which is imported into the database. I need to UPDATE records which are already in the DB, however, it's possible that ANY value in the source can change, therefore I don't have a reliable ID. I'm thinking of fuzzy matching two rows, source and DB and make an "educated" guess if it should be updated and inserted. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello. I have a Core Data model, and was wondering if you know how to create a binding to an Entity, programmatically? Normally you use bind:toObject:withKeyPath:options: to create a binding. But I'm having a little difficulty getting this to work with Core Data, and couldn't find anything in Apple's docs regarding doing this programmatically. The Core Data model is simple: An Entity called Book An Attribute of Book called author (NSString) I have an object called BookController. It looks like so: @interface BookController : NSObject { NSString *anAuthor; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSString *anAuthor; // @synthesize anAuthor; inside @implementation I'd like to bind anAuthor inside BookController, to author inside a Book entity.
