  • CTRL+mouse wheel in gvim (windows) not paging

    Hello, I'm loving vim, but one thing that's bugging me is that when I hold the control key and mouse wheel up or down, the window scrolls normally when the bindings are telling it to page up/down. I'm using the exact same vimrc file (and plugins) on one of my linux machines and the CTRL+mouse wheel does page up down (as opposed to just normally scrolling like in windows). Is there some way to force gvim to response to a ctrl+MouseUp/Down event? It seems to be ignoring it in windows ='[

  • Tomcat memory issue

    Hello, I have noticed that my application that is running on Tomcat 5 starts with 1gig of memory and as soon as it starts receiving requests from client, the memory starts dropping until it is down to 100MBs and troubles start from there. I am looking at /manager/status page of tomcat under JVM section where "Free Memory", "Total Memory", "Max Memory" is listed. Is this an indicator of memory leak? Memory does not seem to be freed-up automatically even if there are no requests coming from client machines.

  • Ruby Dir.glob works on laptop not on desktop?

    I have a ruby shell script that works perfectly on my laptop, but Dir.glob doesn't seem to work when I try and run it on my desktop. Here is the code: sFileTemplate = File.join("**", sResolutions, "**", "*."+sType) sFiles = Dir.glob(sFileTemplate) Both machines run OSX 10.5 and are running ruby -v 1.9.1. Am I calling glob wrong?     Does anyone know a Library which provides a Thread.sleep() for Java which has an error not higher than 1-2 Millisecond? I tried a mixture of Sleep, error measurement and BusyWait but I don't get this reliable on different windows machines. It can be a native implementation if the implementation is available for Linux and MacOS too.     I'm just diving into ruby development for a class assignment and the machines at my Uni have only got ruby 1.8.7 on them so I need to develop for that. I have found tutorials on the web for ruby = 1.9 and rspec that are really good but I haven't found anything for ruby 1.8.7 (I'm guessing it's pretty dated?). Does anyone have anything using rspec testing and has an indepth discussion on ruby 1.8.7 for me? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

You want to calculate the median value of this array. Assume you have m+1 machines (m workers, one master) to distribute the job to. How would you go about doing this? Since the median is a nonlinear operator, you can't just find the median in each machine and then take the median of those values.

    Accidentally I have created file "-" (just a minus) in a directory and commited it. I have to delete it because its causing error on other machines: svn: Can't convert string from 'UTF-8' to native encoding: svn: ?\226?\128?\147 I can remove it from local directory using "rm -i *" or with python "os.remove('\xe2\x80\x93')" but those methods do not work with "svn rm". How to delete such file from svn repository?

  • How to link latest stable version of libCURL using vc++2010

    On 2 separate machines in completely different environments (work, home) I've been unable to compile libCURL out of the box. Running nmake -f Makefile.vc mode=dll VC=10, I get an unresolved external symbol errors for _IdnToAscii and _IdnToUnicode. I believe the definitions are in Normaliz.lib, which is referenced in LFLAGS, but it either isn't finding it or the version I have doesn't have those functions. But I don't see any option to download this file...anyone have a good solution short of commenting out the 2 lines that use these functions?
