  I have been looking around for hours trying to find a clear simple solution to my question and have yet to find a good answer. I am trying to do a URL request in flash to my NOPCommerce site. I want to pass a GET value to the my .cs file which i'll then use that value to grab specific information and return it back to flash. How would I set up the C# or asp.net side of things? If anyone could give me an example of what I am looking for I would greatly appreciate it. I don't know if I am supposed to use a .aspx, .cs or .ascx file. Thanks, Brennan

  I use VS2010,C# to develop an ASP.NET web site, my customers want me to have their pages like this: mysite.com/customer (in fact they call mysite/customer/default.aspx) so I've manually created several folders for each customer, and inserted a default.aspx file in the folder so that users can view customer page by typing mysite.com/customer is there a better way for performing this scenario? I don't want to have mysite.com/customer1.aspx, I want to have mysite.com/customer1, is there anyway that I can remove folders (and their containing default.aspx files) and generate something automatic using my customers database? should I use URL rewriting? is there anyway that I can create page mysite.com/customer1.aspx, and users can view it by typing mysite.com/customer1? I think it is possible to rewrite URLs in web.config, but I don't want to do it manually in web.config as my pages would increase in a daily basis thanks

  Background: I'm trying to come up with a regex for a rewrite rule that will take anything that does not start with a particular prefix, and add that prefix to it. But urls that already have the prefix should be rejected by the regular expression (because they already have the url). Example: If the prefix is s1 a string like home will capture the home part. But a string like s1/home, will not capture anything. This way I can add the capture group onto the prefix, so that 'home' will become 's1/home'. I've tried (^s1/), but I'm missing something here, because that rejected 'home' for some reason.

  Hi All, Was wondering if anyone had any smart approaches to creating dynamic vanity user urls upon user registration. My site basically uses emails as usernames. I have the regex to strip the text before the "@" symbol (e.g. "[email protected]" becomes "name") I would then like to take the "name" and create a vanity url (e.g. domain.com/name or name.domain.com) Any thoughts on how to accomplish this with Wordpress? I'm a pretty advanced Wordpress user and my first thoughts were to do the following Verify user registration Upon successful user registration create page name with username as the title (this would help me achieve the www.domain.com/username) Apply preset template to that page with the desired view Any and all thoughts are welcome.

  I'm trying to use dokuwiki with its Friendly URL on Nginx. The problem that I'm facing is, it doesn' show correct path to any link(even stylesheet, and images) on every page It looks that paths are missing wiki/ part. If I click on the image and show its destination, it shows this url http://foo-sample.com/lib/tpl/dokuwiki/images/logo.png But it has to be this below. http://foo-sample.com/wiki/lib/tpl/dokuwiki/images/logo.png and login URL is not working either.   Hi guys, Have a very strange problem with Apache .htaccess URL Rewriting and Redirection. Here's my setup: I have a zend application with a single point of entry (index.php) directly under my apache document root (call this the "public" folder). I also have all other public files (images, js, css, etc.) under the public folder. Here, I also have a wordpress blog under the "blog" folder. There's an empty test folder too The Problem When I go to mydomain.com/blog, I get redirected to http://www.theredpin.com/blog (correctly), then to http://www.theredpin.com/blog/ (just with an extra / at end), finally to http://theredpin.com/blog/ -- and we're back where we started. The loop continues. What I don't understand is why would wordpress try to remove the www? I'm guessing it's wordpress because my empty test folder acts just fine! PLEASE HELP. I"M REALLY DESPERATE :( Thank you very much Other things that happen: When I go to mydomain.com, i correctly get redirected to www.mydomain.com When I go to www.mydomain.com, i correctly stay where I am When I go to www.mydomain.com/test or mydomain.com/test, behaviour is correct. Setup So my .htaccess file does the following: If there's no www., then add it and do a 301 redirect.   Hi We're having issues inserting links into rich text in Sitecore 6.1.0. When a link to a sitecore item is inserted, it is outputted as: http://domain/~/link.aspx?_id=8A035DC067A64E2CBBE2662F6DB53BC5&_z=z Rather than the actual resolved url: http://domain/path/to/page.aspx This article confirms that this should be resolved in the render pipeline: in Sitecore 6 it inserts a specially formatted link that contains the Guid of the item you want to link to, then when the item is rendered the special link is replaced with the actual link to the item The pipeline has the method ShortenLinks added in web.config <convertToRuntimeHtml> <processor type="Sitecore.Pipelines.ConvertToRuntimeHtml.PrepareHtml, Sitecore.Kernel"/> <processor type="Sitecore.Pipelines.ConvertToRuntimeHtml.ShortenLinks, Sitecore.Kernel"/> <processor type="Sitecore.Pipelines.ConvertToRuntimeHtml.SetImageSizes, Sitecore.Kernel"/> <processor type="Sitecore.Pipelines.ConvertToRuntimeHtml.ConvertWebControls, Sitecore.Kernel"/> <processor type="Sitecore.Pipelines.ConvertToRuntimeHtml.FixBullets, Sitecore.Kernel"/> <processor type="Sitecore.Pipelines.ConvertToRuntimeHtml.FinalizeHtml, Sitecore.Kernel"/> </convertToRuntimeHtml> So I really can't see why links are still rendering in ID format rather than as full SEO-tastic urls.   Hey guys, I'm trying to programmatically load a web page via the WebBrowser control with the intent of testing the page & it's JavaScript functions. Basically, I want to compare the HTML & JavaScript run through this control against a known output to ascertain whether there is a problem. However, I'm having trouble simply creating and navigating the WebBrowser control. The code below is intended to load the HtmlDocument into the WebBrowser.Document property: WebBrowser wb = new WebBrowser(); wb.AllowNavigation = true; wb.Navigate("http://www.google.com/"); When examining the web browser's state via Intellisense after Navigate() runs, the WebBrowser.ReadyState is 'Uninitialized', WebBrowser.Document = null, and it overall appears completely unaffected by my call. On a contextual note, I'm running this control outside of a Windows form object: I do not need to load a window or actually look at the page. Requirements dictate the need to simply execute the page's JavaScript and examine the resultant HTML. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

  Previously I've used to Visual Studio 2008 setup.bin to generate a bootstrapper. I had some issues with it which were difficult to resolve and turned to dotNetInstaller. One great thing with the VS 2008 generated bootstrapper, was that I was able to control the download location for the .NET framework. By using the MSBuild task I could specify the componentsLocation: <GenerateBootstrapper ApplicationFile="$(TargetFileName)" ApplicationName="MyApp" ApplicationUrl="http://$(InstallerHost)$(DownloadUrl)" BootstrapperItems="@(BootstrapperFile)" CopyComponents="True" ComponentsLocation="Relative" OutputPath="$(OutputPath)" Path="C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\" /> Here I'm able to use the ComponentsLocation="Relative" and the bootstrapper would download from our own web server - which is what I want. When I no longer have the VS 2008 bootstrapper, I would like to have the same feature. The new boostrapper downloads the dotNetFx35setup.exe from a defined server, but the problem is that this ".NET bootstrapper" connects to Microsoft's servers for downloading the needed packages. Trying to run the following command: dotNetFx35setup.exe /? did not show any options to control the download location. The web server will contain the package structure which the Windows SDK (v6.0A) has within the Bootstrapper\Packages directory. The structure looks like this: Packages DotNetFX DotNetFX30 DotNetFX35 DotNetFx35Client DotNetFx35SP1 ..... When I state a dependency to the .NET Framework 3.5, the DotNetFX35 directory structure gets copied into the bin/Debug directory. I've copied this directory onto the web server and it looks like this: DotNetFX35 dotNetFX20 dotNetFX30 dotNetFX35 x64 netfx35_x64.exe x86 netfx35_x86.exe dotNetMSP dotNetFx35setup.exe The other directories contains mainly MSI, MSP and MSU files. So any pointers on how to control downloading of the .NET framework. Shouldn't I use the dotNetFx35setup.exe file? If not - which should I use?

ASI doesn't seem to support caching as is, and I looked at the code and it drops to C to create the requests, so inserting the NSURLCache layer seemed tricky. What's the best way to implement this?

When I follow the stylesheet link through browser's view source feature, the link appears to be: http://localhost:8080/css/style.css Which should have had been: http://localhost:8080/myapplication/css/style.css I used to fix this issue with html:rewrite tag while working with Struts.
