  • Java swing center JDialog over parent

    I have a Java swing application with a button that produces a popup window when a certain action is performed. I'd like to align the center point of the popup window with the center point of the parent window when it is rendered. How can I calculate the x,y coordinates to plug into setLocation() for the popup window? EDIT: just to clarify. I do not want the behavior of setLocationRelativeTo() because that sets the top-left pixel of the popup over the center pixel of the parent frame. I want to set the center pixel of the popup over the center pixel of the parent frame. Also, I'm not interested in whether or not a popup window is good practice. I'm past that now. thanks

  • Internet Explorer 6 and 7: floated elements expand to 100% width when they contain a child element f

    I've got a parent div floated left, with two child divs that I need to float right. The parent div should (if I understand the spec correctly) be as wide as needed to contain the child divs, and this is how it behaves in Firefox et al. In IE, the parent div expands to 100% width. This seems to be an issue with floated elements that have children floated right.     I am creating a horizontal webpage and I am trying to make the body dynamically expand according to the content within it. I am building the website here: http://www.obliquo.co.uk/ As you can see it all works, but I am forced to setting a huge body width in pixel value. The content on the page will be changing all the time. If I don't set a width in pixels, the divs start bumping vertically, naturally.

    I'd like to remove a keyboard icon, so replacing "[###] USA" as keyboard layout indicator to just "En", an English or American flag, or "USA" at least. How can I achieve this? UPDATE: When I've clicked to remove e-mail icon from the bar, keyboard language indication has disappeared also, and now I only see that useless keyboard icon, and don't see what language is selected now :-( I use Ubuntu 10.10.

  • Cannot access new product attributes in grid display

    I added a couple new attribute to my products(a boolean "yes/no" fields). They are variables to enable/disable the price from displaying on the product detail page, and grid view. I managed to get it work on the product info page. But on product grid page I cant seem to access those variable. Specifically, the template i am working with is catalog/product/list.phtml. Ive tried adding them in the xml file like this layout/catalog.xml: <block type="catalog/product_list" name="product_list" template="catalog/product/list.phtml"> <action method="addAttribute"><name>DisplayPrice</name></action> <action method="addAttribute"><name>CustomOrder</name></action> </block> and I am trying to access the attributes like so in catalog/product/list.phtml: <?php echo $_product->getDisplayPriceName()?   • How can a link within a WebView load another layout using javascript?

    So I have 2 layout files (main.xml, featured.xml) and both each have a single WebView. When the application starts "main.xml" loads a html file into it's WebView. In this html file I have a link that calls javascript that runs code in the Activity that loaded the html. Once back in this Activity code though I try running setContentView(R.layout.featured) but it just bombs out on me. If I debug it just dies without any real error and if I run it the application just Force closes.     I was under the impression that Google likes to have their adverts clearly separated out from content so that people don't accidentally click on the adverts thinking they are articles. For a 'pinterest' style layout where you only see the one page and a few pop ups over that one page, you could mix in the adverts with the content, as demonstrated with the two adverts slap in the middle on this site: Clearly this can be done and it exists in the wild, with Google adverts being supplied to the site. However, is that against the spirit and/or the letter of what one signs up to with Adsense?

  • Writing an efficient cron job script utilizing Zend_Mail_Storage_Imap.

    I'm new to the IMAP protocol and Zend_Mail_Storage and I'm writing a small php script for a cron job that should regularly poll an IMAP account and check for new messages, and send an e-mail if new messages have arrived. As you can imagine, I want to only poll the IMAP account for relevant messages, and I only want to send a new e-mail if new messages have arrived since the last polled new message. So I thought of keeping track of the last message I polled with some unique identifier for a message. But I'm a bit uncertain about whether the methods I want to utilize for this do what I expect them to do though. So my questions are: Does the iterator position of Zend_Mail_Storage_Imap actually resemble some IMAP unique identifier for messages, or is it simply only and internal position of Zend_Mail_Storage_Abstract? For instance, if I tell it to seek() to message 5 (which I stored from an earlier session) will it indeed seek to the appropriate message on the IMAP server, even if for instance messages have been deleted since last session? Would keeping track of this latest polled message id in a file suffice for a cron job that, say, polls the account every 5 or 10 minutes? Or is this too naive, and should I be using a database for instance. Or is there maybe a much easier way to keep track of such state with Zend_Mail_Storage_Abstract? Also, do I need to poll every IMAP folder? Or is everything accumulated when I poll INBOX? If you could shed some light on any of these matters, I'ld appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
