  • How to Make URLs clickable inside of UITableViewCell ?

    I know how to use UIWebView and can invoke a WebView if it is associated with a specific button or UITableViewCell. What I am trying to achieve is to have a UITableViewCell with a chunk of text. That chunk of text might contain a URL. I want to make the URL into a clickable link and have that link open into a WebView. My thought so far has been that I need to detect a link and insert it as a UIButton within the cell... but I don't know if that is the right way to go about this. Any ideas or input would be much appreciated.

  • Getting mediafire directlink without using WebBrowser .NET control ?

    I'm looking for the way to get the direct link from mediafire. By default, when a user visits a download link, he will be presented with a download page where he has to wait for the download to be processed and then a link will appear. I googled and found a VB.NET 2008 solution to this using WebBrowser WB http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=556681 It works pretty well but I'm tired of pop-up windows and the loading speed. So, I wonder if there is a solution to this problem? (a non WB solution ^^) Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • How do I delete hardlinks, symbolic links, junction points, etc please?

    I could be wrong, but I'm yet to hear a valid argument for the exploitability that these things deliver...outweighing their very dubious / debatable functionality. They seem to me to be marginally handy, but I don't think I have any need for them. I do have a need for security, however. How can I delete their entire functionality permanently from my hard drive, please? Microsoft only has pages on how to create them; which seems almost peculiar to the point of being dubious (at least, to me...) And just a dumb command line question, am I correct in assuming fsutil hardlink list c: will enumerate every single hardlink on that drive? C:\Windows\system32>fsutil hardlink list c: \Windows\System32 Also, how do I delete symbolic links please ;) But I'd just rather have all symbolic linking and recursion-creating stuff removed, if that's possible?   • Win7 System folder contains infinitely looping SYSTEM(!) directory

    My Windows 7 Enterprise computer has been crashing fairly frequently recently, so I decided to boot up in safe mode and run the TrendMicro client I have installed. It froze about 10 minutes into the full system scan, so in the spirit of http://whathaveyoutried.com, I started scanning each folder individually. When I got to ProgramData, the AV failed with an uncaught exception. I then went down a level and tried scanning Application Data, which failed as well. Imagine my surprise when I open the folder just to see the same folder again! As far as I can tell, this folder loop continues indefinitely. (If you are trying to recreate this, keep in mind that ProgramData is a hidden folder.) I'm actually a bit concerned that these are system folders, as this is a brand-new computer with a clean installation. I guess I have three questions: Has anyone else seen/experienced this before? I'm running Win7 SP1. How do I fix this? I've run CHKDSK \F with no success (although it was incredibly slow). What are the ramifications of an infinitely recursive directory? Theoretically speaking, each link takes up memory, so shouldn't I have no space available on my hard drive? (I've got about 180GB left.) I noticed that the tree view on the left only shows the "linked folder" icon on the deeper folders--does this mean anything special? (I've circled the icons or lack thereof in red.) How can the OS even resolve this aberration? And above all, what would happen if I were to select "Expand all folders"??? :P Matt

  • Linux disk usage analyser that acts like symlinks are real files

    I am using git-annex, an extension to the DVCS git, which is designed for handling large files. It makes heavy use of symlinks. The actual large files are moved to the .git/annex directory and the original files are symlinked to there. I am running out of disk space, and need to clear up, and see what's using all my space. Usually I'd use a disk usage tool like ncdu, Baobab or Filelight. However they treat the symlink as essentially empty, and only count the file that it is pointing to as using any space. Which means when I use git-annex, it shows no space used in the main directories and lots of space used in the .git/annex directory. This is not helpful. Is there any (graphical or ncurses) based disk usage programme for linux (apt-get installable would be easie that is capable (through options or not) of counting a symlink as using up the space that the original file uses up? Many have options for different behaviour for hard links, so makes sense that some should h (I know counting symlinks as using space has flaws, like counting the space space twice, broken symlinks, etc. But that's OK for my purposes)

  • Windows 7 laptop with two active network connections will not perform DNS AAAA lookup under certain conditions

    My laptop has two network interfaces. The Ethernet interface connects directly to my provider's edge router. It obtains an IPv6 address via SLAAC. I manually set an IPv6 DNS server. The wireless interface connects to a CPE router that doesn't understand IPv6. If the wireless interface is disabled, I can reach the IPv6 Internet with no problems using the Ethernet interface. I run into problems when both interfaces are enabled and the wireless interface get its IPv4 DNS server via DHCP. Let's look at two scenarios. Wireless interface obtains IPv4 DNS server via DHCP - The CPE router (192.168.0.1) sends its address as the DNS server. In this scenario, Windows 7 will not perform AAAA lookups. The browser uses IPv4 transit to reach dual stack web sites. I can't reach IPv6-only web sites using domain names. I can reach IPv6-enabled web sites using IPv6 literals instead of the domain name. Wireless interface is manually configured with OpenDNS DNS server - Windows 7 performs AAAA lookups using IPv6 transit (via the Ethernet). Everything works fine. My dual homed set-up is definitely not standard. Still, the behavior is very strange to me. A valid IPv6 interface exists in my Ethernet interface. Why won't Windows attempt AAAA lookups in scenario #1? I've included the output of ipconfig /all and netstat -rn.   • Firefox addon that redirects broken link or bad-addresses to Google [closed]

    I want Firefox to redirect bad and broken links to Google search instead of the "Can't find the server" page. If it takes an add-on, that's okay. When you enter a bad or broken link in Google Chrome, the browser takes you to a search results page with all possibly relevant links to the request attempted. Please don't suggest the search-tool-bar, I am aware of it. And it's not really significant in this scenario.

  • Routing protocols, distance vector vs link state

    I'm trying to figure out the differences(pros/cons) between two routing protocols approach and I would be great-full for any help, advice and explanation. As far I can say that it seems like distance vector is more static and more local based routing, since it doesn't know the network state whereas link state is more aware of current states therefore it seems more natural to use it over distance-vector, but I have a feeling like I'm missing something. And I would be glad to here about more aspects and different issues I have to consider while choosing one of them.

  • pix 501, static route to d-link router (different subnet)

    I have pix 501 cisco firewall with internal ip 192.168.10.1. I have connected d-link router (dir-655) to pix 501. The d-link router has internal ip 192.168.0.1 The picture would like something like that: |pix 501| has 192.168.10.1 ip |DIR-655| has 192.168.0.1 ip 1. |cable modem|----|pix 501|-------|DIR-655|-----PC 2. PC--------|pix 501|---------|DIR-655| | | |cable modem| When I'm on the wireless network (dir-655) with assigned ip of 192.168.0.x I can cross the subnet and connect to my firewall 192.168.10.1. (pic. 1) The problem is that if I'm on the 192.168.10.x network I can't connect to anything over at 192.168.0.x network. (pic.2) I've tried entering a static route like this: `route inside 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.1 1` I also tried assigning static ip to wan interface on DIR-655 to 192.168.10.30 and then tried this: route inside 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.30 1 But still, can't connect to 192.168.0.1 or anything on that subnet. Is there a way to setup a static route? Would adding a separate router between PIX 501 and DIR-655 help? I would think that static route like this should take care of it, but it doesn't. However the question is, why can't I simply route between those two? would router between these two help? One of the reasons is, that the PIX 501 has only 10 licences, so now I'm using almost all of them. (I have few computers, iphones, ps3, print server, etc.) I would really appreciate some help!     There often discussions and many facilities available to download streaming media (eg Youtube, Vimeo, etc), however is there a way it can stream a download link? Currently, my internet connection is prohibitively slow to download a video and I would prefer if I could watch the video while it is still downloading but I couldn't find how to do this. I did find this article but it appears to need your own media server.

    I like keeping my stuff organized, but short of printing everything out and keeping it in an actual file cabinet, I've never figured out a good way to link/group document files with related emails. This means that when I'm looking for something, I often have to search in my email program, and then through the documents stored in some filesystem folder. Has anyone out there come up with a neat way to group related stuff like this for searching, archiving, etc?

    Anyone got any ideas how to set up a wireless network bridge between the routers mentioned above? I have a router connected to the internet in one part of the house (BTVoyager) but the wireless range doesnt reach to the other end of the house :-( I also have two spare wireless routers(Belkin G+ Mimo and D-Link DSL-G604T) but as far as I can tell neither of them support wireless bridging.

    If I created a custom form (including Script) in Outlook 2003, published it to the personal forms library, the only way I know to create a item out of this form is "File - New - Choose Form... - Personal Forms Library - Select my Form - Ok". Is there a faster way? For example, a link from the desktop or from the Outlook favorites folder?
