  • split a string into a key => value array in php

    +2-1+18*+7-21+3*-4-5+6x29 The above string is an example of the kind of string I'm trying to split into either a key = value array or something similar. The numbers represent the id of a class and -,+ and x represent the state of the class (minimised, expanded or hidden), the * represents a column break. I can split this into the columns easily using explode which gives and array with 3 $key = $value associations. eg. $column_layout = array( [0] => '+2-1+18' , [1] => '+7-21+3' , [2] => '-4-5+6x29' ) I then need to split this into the various classes from there, keeping the status and id together. eg. $column1 = array( '+' => 2 , '-' => 1 , '+' => 18 ) ... or $column1 = array( array( '+' , 2 ) , array( '-' , 1 ) , array( '+' , 18 ) ) ... I can't quite get my head round this and what the best way to do it is, so any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi, I have a Dictionary< which I want to sort based on value so I've done this by putting the dictionary into a List< then using the .Sort method. I've then added this back into a Dictionary<. Is it possible to lookup the new index/order by using the Dictionary key??     I have an array with the following columns: Task Status I would like to print out a table that shows a list of the Tasks, but not the Status column. Instead, for Tasks where the Status = 0, I want to add a tag <del> to make the completed task be crossed out. Here's my current code: foreach ($row as $key => $val){ if ($key != 'Status') print "<td>$val</td>"; else if ($val == '0') print "<td><del>$val</del></td>"; } This seems to be correct, but when I print it out, it prints all the tasks with the <del> tag. So basically the "else" clause is being run every time.     I have put together a Skin for OpenHome but have since ran across AHome code for their IPhone theme and was wondering that if I included for AHome their Dock_Bg or widget_drawer among other things which is not on OpenHome that the Launcher for the respective screen replacement would just call the items it uses.I want to keep the mb as low as I can but reach more handsets.I can just make seperate ones but see many that include even Freshface as well as OpenHome and AHome.

  • Rsync module path needs to be a home directory

    I'm trying to use rsync to backup windows servers to an rsync server. I'm having problems with rsync on the linux side though, it doesn't like symlinks. Currently I'm trying to use the module path of ~/backup, but rsync says that the chroot failed. I looked up what to do and saw that I needed to add the option use chroot = no and munge symlinks = no. That fixed the @ERROR: chroot failed but now it's telling me @ERROR: chdir failed and the log files say that there is no ~/backup directory. I know the user I'm authenticating with has a backup folder in his directory. How can I fix this? For reference I'm using a .NET port of rsync called NetSync and tunneling it over a port forwarded SSH connection generated with granados.

  • Ubuntu 10.10 Ad-Hoc Setup (from Wireless Router, to Ubuntu Server/Desktop to Wireless Router)

    Okay, so I know there are different approaches for this, but I will explain my story briefly before getting to the technical stuff. My fiancée and I are going through some financial issues (as I assume a lot of us are). We ended up having to move from our house and stay with some friends/family for 6 months, just to get ourselves caught up. (Medical bills, among other issues,etc). So this is where it gets fun. At our friends house, we are staying in the loft setup which is not near the cable modem and wireless router. I have a "hand-crafted" media center running XBMC, an Ubuntu 10.10 Server/Desktop (multi-purpose, very powerful and tons drive space), two working laptops, a between the two of us we have multiple wireless devices/phones. Now our friends Wireless router doesn't have any options for assigning IP addresses, but my router does. My current setup is: Friends Cable Modem -- Friend's Wireless Router -- Ubuntu 10.10 Server -- My Wireless Router (local-link from Friend's wireless (incoming) to sharing connection on ETH0 (outgoing)) -- to all devices. (Wireless Modem, Ubuntu Server that share's it's wireless incoming connection to the ethernet port my Wireless router share's with the rest of the devices). I setup my router to use default settings from my friend's router, using Google's DNS on my router (disabled DNS setup on Ubuntu Server), everything is assigned nicely and runs smooth. My Ubuntu server was given the address 10.42.43.1 (assuming standard from Network-Manager). (On the Ubuntu machine that shares to my wireless router; I have some server apps installed, but mainly just use Samba/NFS/Tangerine action. My problem/goal is that every device has no problem of accessing the internet from my router, the media-center has an assigned ip address, all services from all devices (ZeroConf, Avanhi, Bonjour, GIT, SSH, FTP, Apache2, etc) all work correctly except from my Ubuntu Server (which serves the wireless connection to ETH0 to another Wireless Router). The Ubuntu 10.10 Server/Desktop is not broadcasting anything (the Zeroconf Service Discovery 0.4 Gnome Applet shows the services from the Ubuntu server but no other computers can see them). I can access it from my Media-Center (Running Xbuntu 10.04) if I direct it to 10.42.43.1, no problem. But I cannot access Tangerine (Daapd) and the Samba shares do not show up on any computers for 10.42.43.1 (not in the WORKGROUP which Samba is setup simple and default but I can direct computers to that address and the shares will add except on a damn Windows 7 parition). Is this an issue with how I have my router setup and possible the gateway? An issue with Network-Manager? And issue with my Ubuntu Server/Desktop? I know there is a lot to that, but it's simpler than I probably have explained? Any help would be appreciated. If you need more details, I can provide them. If there is a better way of my attempting this home-network, please let me know. Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Managing access to multiple linux system

    A searched for answers but have found nothing on here... Long story short: a non-profit organization is in dire need of modernizing its infrastructure. First thing is to find an alternatives to managing user accounts on a number of Linux hosts. We have 12 servers (both physical and virtual) and about 50 workstations. We have 500 potential users for these systems. The individual who built and maintained the systems over the years has retired. He wrote his own scripts to manage it all. It still works. No complaints there. However, a lot of the stuff is very manual and error-prone. Code is messy and after updates often needs to be tweaked. Worst part is there is little to no docs written. There are just a few ReadMe's and random notes which may or may not be relevant anymore. So maintenance has become a difficult task. Currently accounts are managed via /etc/passwd on each system. Updates are distributed via cron scripts to correct systems as accounts are added on the "main" server. Some users have to have access to all systems (like a sysadmin account), others need access to shared servers, while others may need access to workstations or only a subset of those. Is there a tool that can help us manage accounts that meets the following requirements? Preferably open source (i.e. free as budget is VERY limited) mainstream (i.e. maintained) preferably has LDAP integration or could be made to interface with LDAP or AD service for user authentication (will be needed in the near future to integrate accounts with other offices) user management (adding, expiring, removing, lockout, etc) allows to manage what systems (or group of systems) each user has access to - not all users are allowed on all systems support for user accounts that could have different homedirs and mounts available depending on what system they are logged into. For example sysadmin logged into "main" server has main://home/sysadmin/ as homedir and has all shared mounts sysadmin logged into staff workstations would have nas://user/s/sysadmin as homedir(different from above) and potentially limited set of mounts, a logged in client would have his/her homedir at different location and no shared mounts. If there is an easy management interface that would be awesome. And if this tool is cross-platform (Linux / MacOS / *nix), that will be a miracle! I have searched the web and so have found nothing suitable. We are open to any suggestions. Thank you. EDIT: This question has been incorrectly marked as a duplicate. The linked to answer only talks about having same homedirs on all systems, whereas we need to have different homedirs based on what system user is currently logged into(MULTIPLE homedirs).     I have a class which implements IList interface. I requires a "sorted view" of this list, but without modifying it (I cannot sort directly the IList class). These view shall be updated when the original list is modified, keeping items sorted. So, I've introduced a SortList creation method which create a SortList which has a comparer for the specific object contained in the original list. This seems good at first chance, but it creates me problems since it give me the following exception when adding items to the SortList: System.ArgumentException: Item has already been added. Why SortList give me that exception?     I have Windows 8 activated in my system. I don't have the product key of windows right now. Now I want to format my system again. Is there any way so that I can reuse the key? Is there any way I can get the key from an activated windows machine? Edit: I am not able to find the product key because I have used a MAK as my product key. Now I want the same to use it after formatting my disk. I found a software Volume Activation Manager tool on the windows website. I am not sure how to use it. Please tell me how can I reuse my key?

  • What is the correct way to use Chef-server's 'validation key'?

    It seems to me that the recommended way of adding clients to a chef server - or my understanding of it - is flawed. from the docs: When the chef-client runs, it checks if it has a client key. If the client key does not exist, it then attempts to "borrow" the validation client's identity to register itself with the server. In order to do that, the validation client's private key needs to be copied to the host and placed in /etc/chef/validation.pem. So the "validation key" is basically the superuser credential, allowing anyone who possesses it full access to the chef server? Am I reading this right? Surely the correct model would be for clients to generate their own keypair, and submit the public key to the chef server. Clients should never need access to this superuser "validation key". How can I do it in this, more secure, manner?

I noticed that my application object MyApp did more than inherit from Application it loaded an XAML for the main template and connected all the plumbing.   • VS2010 "An item with the same key has already been added"

    I recently installed Visual Studio 2010 and copied and converted an old VS2005 solution to VS2010 When I edit this solution, if I try to change a control's .image property, VS2010 creates a message box telling me that "An item with the same key has already been added" (screenshot below), and won't let me browse for an image. I can add images for any other solution, even others ported from VS2005, but not this one. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    MySQL has something like this: INSERT INTO visits (ip, hits) VALUES ('127.0.0.1', 1) ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE hits = hits + 1; As far as I'm know this feature doesn't exist in SQLite, what I want to know is if there is any way to archive the same effect without having to execute two queries. Also, if this is not possible, what do you prefer: SELECT + (INSERT or UPDATE) or UPDATE (+ INSERT if UPDATE fails)

If I inspect the SQL Nhibernate produces I can see that NHibernate is assuming the Primary key of the parent is the link to the child (i.e. load join condition is "parent.NHTestParentId = child.NHTestChildId). The 'ForeignKey' specified appears to be ignored. I can set any value and no error occurs - the join just always fails and no child is returned. I've tried a number of slight variations on the above. It seems like it should be a simple thing to achieve. Any ideas?

  • Nhibernate: Don't fetch when accessing a child objects primary key

    Hi, Is there a way in NHibernate to get the foreign key of a child object, without fetching the child object? EG. I have User and UserRole. Can I access User.UserRole.UserRoleId without causing another hit on the database to retrieve UserRole? I realize I can set fetch mode to eager and this will stop it from hitting the database again, but theoretically this shouldn't be needed, as the User table has UserRoldId in it. Thanks in advance.
