  • Can you apply a CSS hover effect to an element that’s not a child of the hovered element?

    - by WilliamB
    I was not sure if this is possible or not. I am working in CSS3 animations right now and I need to hover on a link that will effect other div element(non-child) on the page. I was not sure if there is a work around or not. <style type="text/css"> #header { background-color:red; } #header:hover .element { background-color:blue; } .element { background-color:green; } </style> - <header id="header"> <li><a href="#">Hover</a></li> </header> <div class="element" > <p>hello world </p> </div>

  • wordpress: previous_post_link() / next_post_link() placeholder

    - by superUntitled
    I am having trouble with the previous_post_link() and next_post_link() functionality. When there is no previous post, the function previous_post_link() does not display a link, likewise for the next_post_link() and the last post. I would like to have a placeholder image so that the design stays consistent. Currently I have images of green arrows pointing left and right, I would like to place an image of a grey arrow if there are no more posts to go back to. Is there a way to use the next_post_link()/previous_post_link() functions but not have the link removed. I also wonder if there is a way for the links to cycle, so that if you come to the most recent post, the next post link would bring you back to the first post.

  • How to delete object with a mouse click ?

    - by Meko
    Hi all. I made a simple FlowChat Editor that creates rectangles and triangles and connects them to each other and shows the way from up to down. I can move this elements on screen too. I am now trying to create a button to delete the element which I clicked. There is problem that I can delete MyTriangle objects, but I can't delete MyRectangle objects. It deletes but not object which I clicked. I delete from first object to last. Here is my code: if (deleteObj) { if (rectsList.size() != 0) { for (int i = 0; i < rectsList.size(); i++) { MyRect rect = (MyRect) rectsList.get(i); if (e.getX() <= rect.c.x + 50 && e.getX() >= rect.c.x - 50 && e.getY() <= rect.c.y + 15 && e.getY() >= rect.c.y - 15) { rectsList.remove(rect); System.out.println("This is REctangle DELETED\n"); } } } if (triangleList.size() != 0) { for (int j = 0; j < triangleList.size(); j++) { MyTriangle trian = (MyTriangle) triangleList.get(j); if (e.getX() <= trian.c.x + 20 && e.getX() >= trian.c.x - 20 && e.getY() <= trian.c.y + 20 && e.getY() >= trian.c.y - 20) { triangleList.remove(trian); System.out.println("This is Triangle Deleted\n"); } } } Edit Here MyRectangle and MyTriangle classes public class MyRect extends Ellipse2D.Double { Point c; Point in; Point out; int posX; int posY; int width = 100; int height = 30; int count; public MyRect(Point center, Point input, Point output,int counter) { c = center; in = input; out = output; count=counter; } void drawMe(Graphics g) { // in.x=c.x+20; int posX = c.x; int posY = c.y; int posInX = in.x; int posInY = in.y; int posOutX = out.x; int posOutY = out.y; g.setColor(Color.MAGENTA); g.drawString(" S "+count ,posX-5, posY+5); g.setColor(Color.black); g.drawRect(posX-50, posY-15, width, height); g.setColor(Color.green); g.drawRect(posInX-3, posInY-9, 6, 6); g.setColor(Color.blue); g.drawRect(posOutX-3, posOutY+3, 6, 6); } } public class MyTriangle { Point c; Point in ; Point outYES ; Point outNO ; int posX; int posY; int count; public MyTriangle(Point center,Point input,Point outputYES,Point outputNO,int counter) { c = center; in = input; outYES = outputYES; outNO = outputNO; count=counter; } void drawMe(Graphics g) { int posX = c.x; int posY = c.y; int posInX=in.x; int posInY=in.y; int posOutYESX=outYES.x; int posOutYESY=outYES.y; int posOutNOX=outNO.x; int posOutNOY=outNO.y; int[] xPoints = {posX - 50, posX, posX + 50, posX}; int[] yPoints = {posY, posY - 30, posY, posY + 30}; g.setColor(Color.MAGENTA); g.drawString(" T "+count,posX-5, posY+5); g.setColor(Color.black); g.drawPolygon(xPoints, yPoints, 4); // draw input g.setColor(Color.green); g.drawRect(posInX-3,posInY-9, 6, 6); g.setColor(Color.blue); g.drawRect(posOutYESX-9,posOutYESY-3 , 6, 6); g.setColor(Color.red); g.drawRect(posOutNOX-3,posOutNOY+3 , 6, 6); } }

  • Storyboard changing controller (modal) not working

    - by BrandNew
    I have problem with navigation between ViewControllers: here is my storyboard: http://postimg.org/image/dar9pkuvl/ The navigation between controllers in green rectangle works fine, I add to controller number 1 controller number 2 (by addtosubview) and then controllers number 3,4,5 to UIScrollView in controller number 2 ( controller number 2 contain scrollview). Everything work fine but if I click Send buttn on controller 4 nothing happens (It is strange because I was added connection between button and controller in the same way like between controllers 7 and 8). I know it is little bit confusing described, but I hope that someone tell me where is problem. Thanks

  • Get the sum by comparing between two tables

    - by Ismail Gunes
    I have to tables ProdBiscuit As tb and StockData As sd , I have to get the sum of the quantity in StockData (quantite) with the condition of if (sd.status0 AND sd.prodid = tb.id AND sd.matcuisine = 3) Here is my sql query SELECT tb.id, tb.nom, tb.proddate, tb.qty, tb.stockrecno FROM ProdBiscuit AS tb JOIN (SELECT id, prodid, matcuisine, status, SUM(quantite) AS rq FROM StockData) AS sd ON (tb.id = sd.prodid AND sd.status > 0 AND sd.matcuisine = 3) LIMIT 25 OFFSET @Myid This gives me no rows at all ? There is only 3 rows in ProdBiscuit and 11 rows in Stockdata and there is only 2 rows in StockData good with the condition. And as shown in the picture there is only two rows which give the condition. What is wrong in my query ? PS: The green lines on the image shows the condition in my query.

  • How to decide between a method or event?

    - by Wil
    I read something ages ago I think by Jon Skeet (which I can't find now) saying that in IL, all events get converted to methods... it was before I understood C# and did not understand it all, but if that is (or even if it isn't) the gist of it.... In a purely hypothetical situation, I was wondering if someone could explain or point me to a resource that says when to use an event over a method? Basically, If I want to have a big red/green status picture which is linked to a Bool field, and I wanted to change it based on the value of the bool, should I: a) Have a method called Changepicture which is linked to the field and changes the state of the bool and the picture. b) Have a get/set part to the field and stick an event in the set part. c) Have a get/set part to the field and stick a method in the set part. d) Other?

  • how to make custom ROMs for lesser-known Android devices (i.e., WellcoM A69)

    - by gonzobrains
    Hi, I have a WellcoM A69 Android phone I would like to start hacking. I bought it in Thailand (I think WellcoM is a Thai company). However, the docs don't explain how to get a recovery menu or anything like that. I would like to figure out how to make custom ROMs for it, because it doesn't have any Google Experience apps and I also want to change the boot screen. How can I go about doing this? If I can't do this, I want to at least be able to use the device in the Eclipse debugger. I select the debugging option under applications but the device still isn't recognized. Is this something that can be disabled by the manufacturer? In any case, I would like to re-enable it if a custom ROM can allow this. If this cannot be done at all, please at least point me in the direction of where I can start writing/building my own ROMs for the G1? I figured that would be a good starting point for learning. Thanks, Jeff

  • width:auto for <input> fields

    - by richb
    Newbie CSS question. I thought 'width:auto' for a display:block element meant 'fill available space'. However for an <input> element this doesn't seem to be the case. For example: <body> <form style='background-color:red'> <input type='text' style='background-color:green;display:block;width:auto'> </form> </body> Two questions then: Is there a definition of exactly what width:auto does mean? The CSS spec seems vague to me, but maybe I missed the relevant section. Is there a way to achieve my expected behaviour for a input field - ie. fill available space like other block level elements do? Thanks!

  • CSS Question - Any way to set (eg. a font-size) to a group of styles, by linking the style to anothe

    - by Joe
    .small_fonts{ font-size:10px; } .fonts_blue{ color:blue; } .fonts_red{ color:red; } .fonts_green{ color:green; } Any way to apply "small_fonts" to each of the "fonts_blue, _red, _green" w/o doing this: .fonts_blue, fonts_red, fonts_green { font-size:10px; } I am just trying to update my css to be more organized. I realised I don't need to define the font-size for each of the "small" fonts. When adding the class btw... I know you can do this: class="small_fonts fonts_blue" ~ however I'm talking about combining within the css stylesheet

  • I am looking for a svn helper program

    - by uzay95
    I didn't remember the name of this program. But i can remember how it works. Program is working on tray. When we double click on it it is showing its main window. :) I could add some criterias to make automatic commit(and maybe update). For ex: if a file changes or if files to be deleted, you can commit. The best part of this program is: "it is FREE" I don't remember exactly but i think it has M name in its name (but i don't remember). I think this program written by an Italian man. And its web site was very simple (and i think its fonts were green)

  • Checking for multiple images loaded

    - by Stanni
    Hi, I'm using the canvas feature of html5. I've got some images to draw on the canvas and I need to check that they have all loaded before I can use them. I have declared them inside an array, I need a way of checking if they have all loaded at the same time but I am not sure how to do this. Here is my code: var color = new Array(); color[0] = new Image(); color[0].src = "green.png"; color[1] = new Image(); color[1].src = "blue.png"; Currently to check if the images have loaded, I would have to do it one by one like so: color[0].onload = function(){ //code here } color[1].onload = function(){ //code here } If I had a lot more images, Which I will later in in development, This would be a really inefficient way of checking them all. How would I check them all at the same time?

  • Calling member functions dynamically

    - by user652511
    I'm pretty sure it's possible to call a class and its member function dynamically in Delphi, but I can't quite seem to make it work. What am I missing? // Here's a list of classes (some code removed for clarity) moClassList : TList; moClassList.Add( TClassA ); moClassList.Add( TClassB ); // Here is where I want to call an object's member function if the // object's class is in the list: for i := 0 to moClassList.Count - 1 do if oObject is TClass(moClassList[i]) then with oObject as TClass(moClassList[i]) do Foo(); I get an undeclared identifier for Foo() at compile. Clarification/Additional Information: What I'm trying to accomplish is to create a Change Notification system between business classes. Class A registers to be notified of changes in Class B, and the system stores a mapping of Class A - Class B. Then, when a Class B object changes, the system will call a A.Foo() to process the change. I'd like the notification system to not require any hard-coded classes if possible. There will always be a Foo() for any class that registers for notification. Maybe this can't be done or there's a completely different and better approach to my problem. By the way, this is not exactly an "Observer" design pattern because it's not dealing with objects in memory. Managing changes between related persistent data seems like a standard problem to be solved, but I've not found very much discussion about it. Again, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Jeff

  • CSS Rule Priorities

    Given the following mark-up... <div id="Header"> <a href="#" class="Highlight">foo</a> </div> And the following stylesheet... /******************Exceptions******************/ #Footer, #Header, #Footer a, #Header a { color: #f8f8f8; } /******************Classes******************/ .Highlight, a.Highlight { color: #B1D355; } .Notification, a.Notification { color: Red; } Why is my link still off-white (F8F8F8) rather than green (B1D355)? Shouldn't using the class Highlight override the color settings for Header and Footer since it comes after their declarations?

  • If I had to create a server farm what should I do? (how others companies work?)

    - by Michel
    I have a business idea but this is not really my field so I'm trying to understand what I'm really dealing with. I have a general understanding of how a web farm works, I'm a web developer and I understand the technology behind it, but I'm curious to know specifically how a web farm is set up and which professionals are involved. Things to consider probably are the hardware, the power supply, the software managment, the cooling system and if possible the usage of green technology/power recycling. Basically, can you explain me how a web hosting company is structured and how it works? A big question, I know, but from what I already read here about the subject a lot of you know this stuff. Thanks for your time guys!

  • Is it possible to auto generate Getter/Setter from Array Values in PHP?

    - by Phill Pafford
    So I have a couple of arrays $array_1 = Array('one','two','three'); $array_2 = Array('red','blue','green'); Is there a dynamic way to create the Setters and Getters for an array with single value entries? So the class would be something like: class xFromArray() { } So the above if I passed $array_1 it would generate something like this: private $one; setOne($x) { $one = $x; } getOne() { return $one; } if I passed $array_2 it would generate something like this: private $red; setRed($x) { $red = $x; } getRed() { return $red; } So I would call it somehow like this? (My best guess but doesn't seem that this would work) $xFromArray = new xFromArray; foreach($array_1 as $key=>$data) { $xFromArray->create_function(set.ucfirst($data)($data)); echo $xFromArray->create_function(get.ucfirst($data)); }

    I have created a custom UIViewController class that creates a ScrollView at runtime that it loads into the view. See code here in the constructor of my custom UIViewController. initControl(id, canEdit); _controllers = new NSMutableArray(0); //required to keep view controllers around _scrollView = new UIScrollView(); _scrollView.BackgroundColor = UIColor.Green; this.View = _scrollView; ViewDidAppear and ViewWillAppear are called normally. ViewDidLoad is not called which I am not sure why as the view is showing up on the screen just fine. Any ideas?

  • Delphi - change text color based on current record value

    - by Welliam
    using db controls connected to a FireBird database. and I have a simple dblabel I want to change text color based on current value for current record The user navigate using the dbnavigator and I wrote code in the navigator button click. but there is a problem the code always read the previous record value not the current one so the color is wrong !! for example: procedure <navigator button click>; begin if table1.FieldByName('field1').AsString = 'val1' then <dblabel.textcolor> := red else <dblabel.textcolor> := green; end; but as I said the value is one record behind. why is that and what is the best approach to change label text color ? My first level manager at my last position asked if Visual Studio was a graphics program... and you step up to a laptop at a conference and type "File->New Program" ... 'nuff said... oh yeah, thanks for the shoutout! John Papa Thanks for being a good friend, ramroding the Firestarter, being a great guy to be around, and for the poster... holy crap is that cool. Tim Heuer Thanks for all you did as a great DE in Phoenix, and for helping out so many of us, of course being a great guy, and for the poster as well... I think you and John shared that task. In no order at all my buddy Michael Washington, Laurent Bugnion (the other half of the first Silverlight MVP of the Year) Tim Sneath, Mike Harsh, Chad Campbell and Bryant Likes (from back in the day), Adam Kinney, Jesse Liberty, Jeff Paries, Pete Brown, András Velvárt, David Kelly, Michael Palermo, Scott Cate, Erik Mork, and on and on... don't feel bad if your name didn't appear, I have simply too many supporters to name. Silverlight Firestarter Indeed All the people mentioned here, and all the MVPs knew Silverlight was NOT dead, but because of a very unfortunate circumstance, the popular media opinion became that. Consequently the Firestarter exploded from a laid-back event to a global conference. People worked their ass off getting bits ready and presentations using those bits. All to stem the flow of misinformation. All involved please accept my personal thanks for an absolutely awesome job. I had the priviledge of watching the 'prep' on Wednesday afternoon, and was blown away the first time I saw the 3D demo... and have been blown away every time I've seen it since. Not to mention all the other goodness in Silverlight 5. Yes I hit 1000 on my blog, but more importantly, all of you are blogging and using Silverlight, and Microsoft hit one completely out of the park... no... they knocked it out of the neighborhood with the Firestarter. It was amazing to be there for it, and it will be awesome to use the new bits as we get them. Keep reading, there's tons more to come with Silverlight and SilverlightCream following along behind. As usual, this old hacker is humbled to be allowed to play with all the cool kids... Thanks one and all for everything, and Stay in the 'Light
