    Have a maildir with tens of thousands of messages in it, about 70% of which are spam. Would like to: Run /usr/local/bin/spamassassin against it, tagging each message if the score is 10 or greater Have a tcsh shell or perl one-liner grep all mails with a spam score of over 10 and move those mails to /tmp/spam What commands can I run to accomplish this? Pseudocode: /usr/local/bin/spamassassin ./Maildir/cur/* -tagscore10 grep "X-Spam-Score: [10-100]" ./Maildir/cur/* | mv %1 /tmp/spam

  • Does psexec support input redirection?

    I am trying to control a remote Python script, which reads commands from stdin, via psexec 1.98, but I need to redirect psexec's input since psexec itself will be launched from another program. However, I have no luck making psexec accept redirected input. Is it supposed to work at all? An example of what I'm trying to do, where input is a file containing input to the remote script: psexec \\mymachine python c:\script.py < input

    I have an application which writes its log files in a special folder. Now I'd like to add a functionality to delete these logs after a defined period of time automatically. But how long should I keep the log files? What are "good" default values (7 or 180 days)? Or do you prefer other criteria (e.g. max. used disk space)?

  • Problem with my unicorn

    I'd love to get some help with my unicorn, the damned thing just won't respond to my commands. It's a standard white unicorn with with a white mane. I've tried giving it hay, carrots and sugar cubes, but it's still refusing to do what I ask. I've read on other sites that I may need to reshoe her, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.     I'm trying to configure sudo to allow all users to restart apache without having to enter a password. Security concerns aside, why isn't this working?     CMD commands: setx SOMEVARIABLE "newpath" /M setx SOMEVARIABLE "%SOMEVARIABLE%;newpath2" /M Expected output on ECHO %SOMEVARIABLE%: newpath;newpath2 Actual output: %SOMEVARIABLE% Actual value stored (From System Properties-Environment Variables GUI): %SOMEVARIABLE%;newpath2 The only way i can get the expected output is, if i restart the command prompt every time i modify the environment variable. I'm using this command to automate environment variable value appending multiple times during the same process. Why doesn't environment variable get updated in cmd without restart? Is it possible to get the updated value of %SOMEVARIABLE% without restarting the command prompt?

  • GNU Screen: Remap mouse-wheel to active scroll back.

    I am using Screen with MinTTY at a bash prompt. Sometimes I want to activate scrollback and copy some stuff that was on the output. My first instinct is to scroll with the mouse, but all that happens is old bash commands start showing up (like when I press the up arrow). Is there a way to re-map the mouse wheel to: Go into scrollback mode, or If already in scrollback mode, start moving up in the scrollback window

  • Can't chgrp in NFS4 mounts

    Hello, I'm using Linux in a large multi-user network. Let A be some group which I'm am member of, but which is not my primary group. According to chmod(2) I should be able to chgrp a file to group A. Trying to do so succeeds on a local as well as on a NFSv3 mount, but not on a NFSv4/Kerberos mount (EPERM). Are there any special considerations regarding chgrp when using NFSv4 mounts?

  • Per directory ignore in TextMate

    I love idea of TextMate that any directory opened in it is already a project. But sometimes I it would be good to ignore files for certain dir and I don't like idea of creating project file in that dir or remembering how I named project file in some special folder like ~/.tmproject. Is there some sort of plugin or something like this which will allow me to ignore files in dir? Perfect solution would be reading .gitignore file.

  • Win 7 time service error

    I see a warning in my Win7 Events Log: The time service has not synchronized the system time for 86400 seconds because none of the time service providers provided a usable time stamp. The message suggests that I run: w32tm /resync When I try to run that command, I get an error: The following error occurred: The specified module could not be found. <0x8007007E I can run w32tm with no arguments and get the expected list of w32tm commands, so the program is accessable and runs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Server 2012, ADFS 2.1, and Office 365

    Has anyone gotten ADFS 2.1 on Server 2012 working with o365 SSO? I have it working up to a point, I tweaked the registry to allow the powershell commands to run, user accounts syncs fine. Even the remote connectivity analyzer shows no errors. But SSO itself does not seem to be passing the credentials correctly. Microsoft claims that ADFS 2.1 is not supported to work with o365, but I'm just being stubborn and not giving up that easy.

  • How can I easily test connectivity to external sources with WinHTTP?

    I've got an server application that uses Winhttp to fetch information from an external source. Occasionally, I'll need to troubleshoot connectivity issues and I'd like an easy way to test connections through winHTTP (on the off-chance that there's something that is specifically impeding winHTTP and not other unrelated connectivity commands like telnet). Does IE use WinHTTP? If not, are there any tools (preferably already integrated into Windows) that I can use? Occasionally I'll use IE but I'm not sure if that's quite the same.
