  • How do I get Emacs to evaluate a file when a frame is raised?

    Basically I have my Emacs set up so it has a GUI specific elisp, but when starting it in daemon mode this doesn't evaluate. The code is something like: ;; gui.el (when window-system (progn ;; do stuff here )) I'd like this file (or at least the code within it—perhaps a funtion) to be re-evaluated when I run emacsclient -c on the command line, as I miss out on all my font-lock and color-theme goodness (as I have that stuff set to runonly when a GUI exists).

  • How to disable scrollbars with JavaScript?

    I need to lock the browser scrollbars when I show a div that represent a modal window in Internet Explorer 7 only. Googling I found that I can use document.body.style.overflow='hidden' but this doesn't work for IE7. I also tried with document.body.scroll="no" which works but only after I mouse over the scrollbar :-S Does anybody knows a better aproach? Thansks

  • Debugging a performance issue on ListBoxDragDropTarget (Silverlight Toolkit)?

    I have a complex project using SilverLight Toolkit's ListBoxDragDropTarget for drag-drop operations and it is maxing CPU. I tried to reproduce the issue in a small sample project, but then it works fine. The problem persists when I remove our custom styles and all other controls from the page, but the page is hosted in another page's ScrollView. "EnableRedrawRegions" shows that the screen gets redrawn on every frame. My question is this: How can I track down the cause of this constant redrawing?

    In silverlight, how do I create a usercontrol whose parent must be of a specific control? Eg. I create control Foo, Foo can only be a child of control FooParent. If in blend, they drag it to inside anything except for a FooParent control, it throws error. Foo should then be able to access properties and public methods of FooParent. Is there an official way to accomplish this?

    I have a multiline Textbox for my web page. When user logs in and enters text and press "Save" button, data will be saved. Then, next time when the same user logs in and searches for data, I want him to edit only new text in multiline TextBox, not removing or replacing previously entered text. Is there any way to make multiline TextBox to lock inserted lines or inserted text and allow to only add text? Thanks in advance.

    I have set up a Linux Server and installed Apache and SVN and dav_svn on it. Now, when I try to upload to https://x.x.x.x:x/svn/repo with Tortoise SVN I get Can't open file '/server/svn/repo/db/txn-current-lock': Permission denied I have Set up my SSL correctly (I can checkout, no problems, even remotely due to Port Forwarding). I'm guessing this has to do with the Linux Ownership of the Repository folders, How must I set this/ what are the commands? I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 Server + Apache2.

  • Exclude one or more elements from being connected (using connectWith) in jQuery's sortable lists

    I have two lists, one with an ID of "vlist" and one with an ID of "hlist". The "vlist" holds elements which should be visible, while the "hlist" holds items that should remain hidden. The idea here is to allow the administrator of the system to specify which elements/fields should be shown on a sign-up page, and which shouldn't. The two lists are connected using "connectWith", so the administrator can drag items from the visible list to the hidden list (or vice versa). My dilemma is that there are a few fields I want locked into the visible list, but still sortable within that one list. For example, the "username", "email" and "password" fields should be locked within the visible list (as they always need to be used for registration). Is this even possible? Perhaps it is a no-brainer that I simply haven't discovered yet. I've looked around through jQuery's documentation for a while and can't seem to find anything related to this scenario. I have found how you can "cancel" specific elements in the list from being sortable altogether or even disabled from being a dropable target, but this doesn't do it. The user should still have the ability to drag these items within the "visible" list, in case they want to adjust the ordering of the locked fields. I'm also aware that you can contain sortable elements within a specific element or DOM object, but this also can't be used as this only seems to apply to the whole sortable list, and not specific elements of that list. I've even tried to see if something like this would work after I built the sortable listing(s): $('#vlist > #slist-li-username').sortable('option', 'containment', '#vlist'); Obviously, that didn't work either or I wouldn't be posting this.   • UITableViewCell checkmark change on select

    Am I correct in thinking that to change the checkmark for "on" to "off", I must change the CellAccessoryType between none and checkmark on the didSelectRowAtIndexPath? Because I have done this but I have noticed the behaviour is not perfectly identical to like the checkmark cells on the auto lock settings on the iphone. Or is there some other way checkmarks are meant to be handled?

    Hi! I am porting some Core data code from iPhone to Mac OS X. PRoblem is that CoreData Framework on Mac OS X does not have NSFetchedResultsController.h nor NSFetchedResultsControllerDelagete protocol declared. At least I am not able to force COCOA application to see this class even if I drag Core Framework from iPhone project to link with Mac Application? Anyone faced this problem?

I have a list of users and a list of groups, but I'd like to be able to have nesting of the groups: user "Eric" would be in "Users", "Web", and "Administrators". The problem is that I cannot drag a user to an empty <ul> in the list.
