  • data loading - app launching on tableview

    hi, i encounter an issue with my application. On one hand when my app launches, the first view displayed is a tableview within a tableviewcontroller. On the other hand my app calls a web service to collect data. These methods are in MyAppDelegate\applicationDidFinishLaunching. The thing is that my tableview is made of custom cells that need data from the web service. I noticed that the view (with the tableview) is launched first and then MyAppDelegate\applicationDidFinishLaunchin is executed. As a result the labels of my custom cells are all equal to null as my arrays aren't filled yet by the web service. I would like to know the proper way to make it. If anyone has an idea please tell me. Wallou

This is so that I can output the same file with values dynamically input by the user. the XamlReader.Load() method cannot be used; it will throw an exception (because they are unable to recognise Window as the root element). I'm using VS2013 and C#.

  • FLIR: avoiding ugly page loads

    I'm building a site that makes extensive use of FLIR to allow the use of non-websafe fonts. However, pageloads are an ugly process, as first the HTML text version of each field loads and then (a few hundred milliseconds later) it's replaced by its FLIR image counterpart. Is there any way to avoid this sort of thing? I've got a client presentation in a few hours and I know it'll raise eyebrows. My situation is sort of related to this question which is in regards to sIFR, not FLIR. Any ideas? Thanks, Justin

    Hiho, There's an existing website that i need to include into another site which goes like this: a.mysite.com and i need to fetch content from this site in my www.mysite.com website... As i need to access the content of the iframe the Same origin policy produces a problem here. What i did was to configure mod_proxy on Apache to proxy pass all requests from www.mysite.com/a to a.mysite.com This will work fine...but my problem is that im not sure what the best way would be to include those pages. 1. Idea As the content of the iframe is a full featured site with a top navigation...left navigation etc....i would need to change the page template to only show the content box to be able to integrate that page in the iframe. 2. Idea I could just load the DIV where the content lies through JQuery.load() and integrate it into my site. What is the best way to accomplish such a task? How bad is both ideas from the SEO point of view?

    Hello, I want to make some url rewrite rules on my .htaccess file so that this link: http://myseite.com/index.php?var1=value1&var2=value2 will become : http://myseite.com/var1/value2.html So far I have managed successfully to solve this problem but only for one variable. I also tried this code: RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/([^/]*)\.html$ /index.php?var1=$1&var2=$2 [L] But it doesn't work.. Thank you for the help!

Previously I was doing this through createInitialLayout of IPerspectiveFactory but then I realized that this is for defining the page layout only and is usually called when when launching the perspective for the first time only.     This is deals_controller.rb. And it works like this, except two things. Not sure how to call Deal.count to add in my flash[:notice] . I get the hunch that its not calling something global. I need that contional statement back, as I'm pretty sure its responsible for actually adding the new @deal . So I assume my syntax is off. I thought at one point I could create a Select Statement to build my custom data and use that as the datasource for my Insert Into statement. i.e. something like INSERT INTO MyCustomData (ColumnKey, Column1, Column2) From (Select Top 50000 Row_Count(), 'Custom Data 1', 'Custom Data 2') I know this doesn't work, but its the only thing I can show that seems to provide an example of what I'm after. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

    I have a initApp.as which instantiates a class which needs to access the "currentState" property and the States array as well. However we cannot get this to work as we cannot see how we can access this information. Within initApp.as currentState is accessed via "this.currentState". This does not work in the class which is instatiated within initApp.as. The following error is thrown: "Access of undefined property currentState." Anyone know how this can be solved?

    Hi, I'm trying to write a shell script to backup websites, I've got it to go through each directory in vhosts and create a new directory vhosts/{siteurl}/private/backups/ and gzip up the site into there. However, I also want it to read a file from private that will contain database name, user and password. So I can then use these to perform a mysqldump to private/backups/. The problem is that I've never written a shell script before so I've go no idea how to read variable data into my script, or how I should format the file to be read. Hope that's enough information.
