  • I changed the web service declaration and then wsimport says that I have a repeated message

    I had a Web service method working fine on Tomcat as deployed by Netbeans 6.8. Then I had to add a new parameter for the same method so I erased the method and then added a new one with the same name but different parameters. After that, ws-import keeps on telling me that I have duplicated messages for such method, and if I remove the new one, the WSDL will still show me the old one with the old parameter list. How do I get rid of the old one? thanks in advance.

    Can I use an external assembly's static method like [ThreadStatic] method? Here is my situation. The assembly class (which I do not have access to its source) has this structure public class RegistrationManager() { private RegistrationManager() {} public static void RegisterConfiguration(int ID) {} public static object DoWork() {} public static void UnregisterConfiguration(int ID) {} } Once registered, I cannot call the DoWork() with a different ID without unregistering the previously registered one. Actually I want to call the DoWork() method with different IDs simultaneously with multi-threading. If the RegisterConfiguration(int ID) method was [ThreadStatic], I could have call it in different threads without problems with calls, right? So, can I apply the [ThreadStatic] attribute to this method or is there any other way I can call the two static methods same time without waiting for other thread to unregister it?   • Calling a JAVA method from C++ with JNI, no parameters

    Please bear with me, I am an iPhone developer and this whole android this confuses me a bit. I have some c++ methods that are called from a cocos2d-x CCMenuItem. Therefore I cannot send any parameters, according to the docs. I need to open a url with the android browser which will require me to call a JAVA function to start a new intent. I understand that I need to create a VM, however the below code gives me the error: jni/../../Classes/MyClass.cpp:184: error: 'JNI_CreateJavaVM' was not declared in this scope I was looking at this thread: Calling a java method from c++ in Android But he uses parameters, and I can't do that. And I don't see where those are in his code to just make them myself. I don't know what the string should be in the 'Find Class' method. Also, I assume it is pretty terrible to create a new VM instance in every method I need to call. How would I create one as a singleton to use across the board? This is my c++ code called by my menu item: #include <jni.h> ...   • PHP extend a class method that is called from another class which extends it and calls the method wi

    I am trying to extend a class and override one of its methods. lets call that class A. My class, class B, is overiding a protected method. Class C extends class A and Class D extends class C. Inside of Class D, the method I am trying to overwrite is also extended here and that calls parent::mymethodimoverriding. That method does not exist in class C so it goes to it in class A. That is the method I am overiding in class B and obviously you can't extend A with B and have those changes show up in D since it does not fall in line with the class hierarchy. I might be wrong, so correct me please. so if my class b is called and ran then class D gets called it runs the method in A and overwrites what I had set. I am thinking there must be a way to get this to work, I am just missing something. here is an example, as you can see in class A there is a call to setTitle and it is set to "Example" In my class I set it to "NewExample". My class is getting called before class D so when class D is called it goes back to the parent and sets the title back to "Example" class A{ protected function _thefunction(){ setTitle("Example"); } } class B extends A{ protected function _thefunction(){ My new code here setTitle("NewExample"); } } class C extends A{ nothing that matters in here for what I am doing } class D extends C{ protected function _thefunction(){ parent::_thefunction(); additional code here } }

    I am having this particular requirement where a method has to be identified by different regular expressions for different components. For example, there need to be a regex for return parameter, one for method name, one for argument type and one for argument name. I was able to come up with an expression till this step as follows - ([^,]+) ([^,]+)\((([^,]+) ([^,]+))\) It works well for a method signature like - ReturnType foo(Arg parameter) The regular expression identifies ReturnType, foo, Arg and parameter separately. Now the problem is that a method can have no/one/multiple arguments separated by commas. I am not able to get a repeating expression for this. Help will be appreciated.

What I would like to do is an abstraction of thread being a class with a pure virtual method "runThread", which would be implanted in the future threaded class. I don't know yet about the Windows thread, but to start a POSIX thread, you need a function pointer, and not a method pointer. And I can't manage to find a way to associate a method with an instance so it could work as a function. I probably just can't find the keywords (and I've been searching a lot), I think it's pretty much what Boost::Bind() does, so it must exist. Can you help me ?

  • HTTP 401.3 when PUT, DELETE to ADO.NET Data Service (.svc)

    I have an ADO.NET Data Service (we'll call it service.svc). When I deploy it to an IIS 6 site with Integrated Windows Authentication turned on, all requests (GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE) work fine for me, because I am an administrator on the box. However, when a non-admin user hits the service, only GET and POST requests work. When they try a PUT or DELETE request, they get an HTTP 401.3 "Access is Denied" error: "Error message 401.3: You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied (access denied due to Access Control Lists). Ask the web server's administrator to give you access to '...\service.svc'." If I give the "Authenticated Users" local group write access to the .svc file, everything works as it should, but I really don't want to do this (and don't think I should have to do this to get this to work). In fact, I'm confused as to why changing the file permissions would affect this at all, but it definitely seems to be the problem. I've found a couple of different suggestions to fix somewhat similar problems in the Microsoft forums (Here, and I would post more links, but am being told that new users can only post one link in a post), but none of the solutions help. Any help is much appreciated. I am certainly no IIS expert, and this one has got me stumped.

    I am pretty sure this is not doable, but I will go ahead and cross my fingers and ask. I am trying to add a method to a built in class. I want this method to be callable by all of the built in class's subclasses. Specifically: I have a JButton, a JTextPane, and other JComponents. I want to be able to pass in a JDom Element instead of a Rectangle to setBounds(). My current solution is to extend each JComponent subclass with the desired methods, but that is a LOT of duplicate code. Is there a way I can write the following method just one time, and have it callable on all JComponent objects?     Does log4J still gather the class, method and line numbers by generating exceptions and inspecting the stack trace? Or has Java been optimized since Sun included their own logging framework. If not, why has there not been any optimizations made since. What is the main challenges in obtaining class, method and line numbers quickly and efficiently? Although I hate annotations and try to avoid them, has log4J not made use of this, such as: @log4j-class MyClass @log4j-method currentMethodOne At least this would avoid some companies bad habit of repeatedly writing/copying the method name as the first part of their logging message (which is seriously annoying).     So to allow any type object I must use generics in my code. I have rewrote this method to do so, but then when I create an object, for example Milk, it won't let me pass it to my method. Ether there's something wrong with my generic revision, or Milk object I created is not good. How should I pass my object correctly and add it to linked list?   • MEF Why is ComposePart an extension method?

    CompositionContainer.ComposePart is an extension method. why is that? Looking into the System.Componentmodel.Composition assembly, it looks like it's because it is ONLY meant to work with the attributed programming model while the .Compose() method is able to take in exports as long as it is a composablepart. ComposePart is even hosted in the 'AttributedModelServices' class which makes me think I'm correct. Am I correct on this? If not, why is it an extension method and not a method in the container class?

    I define a method called dist, to calculate the distance between two points which I does it correctly when directly using the method. However, when I get a function to call it to calculate the distance between two points, I get UnboundLocalError: local variable 'minkowski_distance' referenced before assignment edit sorry, I just realised, this function does work.
