    I was wondering if you always install software on the same partition as Windows 7 system? What kinds of software do you install on the same partition as Windows system? What kinds of software you install on another partition? If you install software on another partition, do you install them on a dedicated partition to these software? Or do you install them on the same partition as data (personal data)? How do you plan the sizes for the partition(s) in either case? What are to consider when making plans about the above questions? The software I am installing include: Matlab, Mathematica, IDEs, compilers or Interpreters for C++, C, Java, R, Python, Perl, Lisp, Latex, and database. Mainly for programming and typesetting kinds of studies and projects.

  • Can't install gwt developer plugin for IE 7 or 8

    I want to install gwt developer plugin for IE (I already installed it on chrome and firefox without any problem). When i want to install it for IE7 (on both vista with sp2 & windows server 2008 with sp2), it says that plugin installed sucessfully, but it does not work & nothing adds under add-ons section. I upgraded my ie to latest 8 version & even installed google optimized version of IE8, but it couldn't help me. Any idea ?

  • iPhone: Application Install Fails With "Invalid Signer" Error

    The iPhone is attached to a Mac runnning the latest iTunes version and I am 100% sure that her UDID is in the provisioning file. Her iPhone has not been jailbroken and we even restored it to factory settings. I am having trouble installing our development build on this one iPhone. The error is: the application "[Application Name]" was not installed on the iPhone "iPhone" because the signer is not valid I am 100% sure that the UDID is accurately entered in the provisioning file and that they correctly copied the right provision file/build combo. This same combo has been successfully installed on over a dozen iphones. We have been able to install this on some devices with no problems. Edit: From comments to an answer: We can install it on 100 iphone with our account. We have about 40 iphones in this provisioning profile and it works on 38 of them.

    UPDATE 3/20/10 I'm running Mac OSX Snow Leopard, this problem is caused by a recent train wreck in which I updated ruby without RVM. I've attempted to properly install/run RVM, however I can't get it to work. I am unable to install the sqlite3-ruby gem. For 24 versions it has been working perfectly - now, on version 25 I get the following error once the application has installed and it launches: If I test a previous deployment on the same machine, it works. Where can I even begin to look to find the cause of this error? I already checked the windows event logs - nothing. EDIT: I noticed that while the dialog is displayed, a temporary xml file 'WER561D.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml' is generated in my temp folder.     Running a RoR app. I've created a self-signed SSL cert for my test/dev environment, which consists of a single mongrel, and Mac OS X Leopard. Can I install the SSL cert in such a way that mongrel will use it, or do I have build a different server stack to handle SSL (e.g. Apache in front of a mongrel cluster), and install the cert inside of Apache? For my production server, I'll eventually build a server stack like this, so it's no big deal if I have to go that direction - it's just a question of now or later. Thanks!

    JRE and JDK 64bit install executable are throwing a non compatible win32 error: jre_7u1_windows-x64bit.exe is not a valid Win32 application. I thought this could be a system environment variable problem, but from what I can tell it is not, the variable PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE is set as: AMD64 and the variable PROCESSOR_IDENTIFIER is set as: Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 5, GenuineIntel I am not sure what variables the installer reads from if any. I have tried java 6 installer and the same thing. I can install other programs designed for a 64bit architecture and I have looked at Control PanelSystem and SecuritySystem: which is in fact "System type: 64-bit Operating System".

    I install spree version 0.9.4 with gem install spree and run a set up command spree mystore and get this errors messages. Have anybody experienced this whether in spree or not ?     Hi, i try to create an AEP for my advantage Database. I create a AEP project on VS2008 and i,ve got the dll. I copy de .dll to the folder where is my datadictionnary. I tried to register my dll with regasm but i've always got the warning to give strong name, but i tried a lot of thing and i got this error again. So i tried to install the AEP but i haven't the ProgId required. Someone can help me to create and install an AEP? Thanks Julien

    When I easy_install some python modules, warnings such as: <some module>: module references __file__ <some module>: module references __path__ <some module>: module MAY be using inspect.trace <some module>: module MAY be using inspect.getsourcefile sometimes get emitted. Where (what package / source file) do these messages come from? Why is referencing __file__ or __path__ considered a bad thing?

    Hi guys, I'm trying to install feedzirra. When i install curb on my netbeans i get following errors. Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing curb-0.7.6.gem: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. "C:/Program Files/NetBeans 6.9 RC2/ruby/jruby-1.5.0/bin/jruby.bat.exe" extconf.rb '"C:/Program Files/NetBeans 6.9 RC2/ruby/jruby-1.5.0/bin/jruby.bat.exe"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Gem files will remain installed in C:/Program Files/NetBeans 6.9 RC2/ruby/jruby-1.5.0/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/curb-0.7.6 for inspection.     I have been trying to install sinatra in a macbook running leopard system, and I am not able to do it. I get the following error.
