• Installed Perl DBI Module Can't Be Found

  I'm trying to setup a Perl development environment on my Mac laptop and have been having a really hard time getting it working. I thought I had everything configured correctly but when I try to run a sample script it is reporting errors with the DBI module and can't access the DB. Here is what is reported in the Apache error logs: [Fri Apr 30 23:11:33 2010] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Can't locate DBI.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /Library/Perl/Updates/5.10.0/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Library/Perl/Updates/5.10.0 /System/Library/Perl/5.10.0/darwin-thread-multi-2level /System/Library/Perl/5.10.0 /Library/Perl/5.10.0/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Library/Perl/5.10.0 /Network/Library/Perl/5.10.0/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Network/Library/Perl/5.10.0 /Network/Library/Perl /System/Library/Perl/Extras/5.10.0/darwin-thread-multi-2level /System/Library/Perl/Extras/5.10.0 .) at main.pm line 5. I downloaded and installed both modules manually to work with MAMP using the following commands as specified in this forum post: For DBI 1. cd /Library/Perl/DBI-1.611 2. sudo Perl Makefile.PL 3. sudo make 4. sudo make install For DBD 1. cd /Library/Perl/DBD-mysql-4.014 2. sudo Perl Makefile.PL --mysql_config=/Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/mysql_config 3. sudo make 4. sudo make install What I noticed while running the above commands is that the files seems to be getting installed in the '/opt/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.9/darwin-2level/' directory which doesn't seem to be one of the search directories that Apache mentions in the error at the beginning of this post. • Problem simulating HTTP POST using HttpClient

  I am trying to programatically send a HTTP Post request using HttpClient to http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/s/planjourney/query but it is not liking the request I send it. • Maven/Spring/Java: ClassNotFoundException - but I know class is there...

  I have 2 maven projects set up like this: -com.wuntee.rsaAuthenticationManager (jar) -com.wuntee.taac (pom) --taac-backend-gui (jar) --taac-web (war) And 'com.wuntee.rsaAuthenticationManager' is a dep in 'taac-backend-gui'. When running a test case in taac-backend-gui, everything executes fine, but when trying to start the taac-web, I get the following ClassNotFoundException - the library that contains the class 'weblogic.security.SSL.TrustManager' is also in my local maven repository, and set as a dependency of com.wuntee.rsaAuthenticationManager. Does anyone know why I would be getting this error? I have also attempted to directly add the library containing TrustManager to the taac-web project, and still get the same Exception. Any ideas?   Hi, I have a problem with data in UITableView. I have UIViewController, that contains UITableView outlet and few more things I am using and ... It works :) ... it works lovely, but ... • A little bit of Ajax goes a long way

  ..except when you're having problems. My problem is this: I have a hierarchical list of categories stored in a database which I wish to output in a dropdown list. The hierarchy comes into place when the subcategories are to be displayed, which are dependent on a parent id (which equals out to the first seven or so main categories listed). My thoughts are relatively simple: when the user clicks the dynamically allocated list of main categories, they are clicking on an option tag. For each option tag, an id (i.e., the parent) is listed in the value attribute, as well as an argument which is sent to a Javascript function which then uses AJAX to get the data via PHP and sends it to my 'javascript.php' file. The file then does magic, and populates the subcategory list, which is dependent on the main category selected. I believe I have the idea down, it's just that I'm implementing the solution improperly, for some reason. I also receive an "undefined index" error (which refers to the key I set for the data type). I'm thinking that for some reason, the data is being sent to my form.php file, or my default.php file which includes both the form.php and javascript.php files via a function. Is there something specific that I'm missing here? Just looking up basic AJAX syntax (via jQuery) hasn't helped out, unfortunately.

• javax.naming.InvalidNameException using Oracle BPM and weblogic when accessing directory

  We are getting this exception when we start our cluster (2 managed servers, 1 admin), we have deployed only the ears corresponding to the OBPM 10.3.1 SP1 in a weblogic 10.3. When the server cluster starts, one of the managed servers (the first to start) get overloaded and ran out of connections to the directory DB because of this repeatedly error. • jQuery Map Highlight - works fine at DOM ready but failed when loaded by AJAX

  Hi all: This is uni assignment and I have already done some stuff. Please go to the password protected directory on : my server Enter username "uts" and password "10479475", both without quotes, into the prompt and you shall be able to see the webpage. Basically, if you hover your mouse on top of the contents in worldmap to the upperleft corner, you can see the underneath area is "highlighted" by a gray region and a red border. This is done using one jQuery plugin : at here This part works fine, however, after I use jQuery to load the specific continent map asynchronously, the newly loaded image cannot work correctly. Tested under Firebug, I can see the plugin doesn't "like" the new image cause I cannot find the canvas or other auto-generated stuff which can be founded around the worldmap. All the functionality is done in master.js, I believe you can just download a copy and check the code there. I do hope that I have followed the tutorials on the plugin's doc page, but I just cannot get through the final stage. • Objective-C woes: cellForRowAtIndexPath crashes.

  Hi everyone, Debugging my implementation I found a memory leak issue. I know where is the issue, I tried to solve it but sadly without success. I will try to explain you, maybe someone of you can help with this. First I have two classes involved in the issue, the publish class (where publishing the service and socket configuration is done) and the connection (where the socket binding and the streams configuration is done). The main issue is in the connection via native socket. In the 'publish' class the "server" accepts a connection with a callback. The callback has the native-socket information. Then, a connection with native-socket information is created. Next, the socket binding and the streams configuration is done. When those actions are successful the instance of the connection is saved in a mutable array. • Django ImageField issue with JPEG's

  I am having a major issue with PIL (Python Image Library) in Django and have jumpped through a lot of hoops and have thus far not been able to figure out what the root of the issue is. The problem essentially breaks down to not being able to upload JPEG images through the ImageField in the Django admin. But the issue is not as simple as installing libjpeg. First, I installed PIL (through Buildout) and realized once it was installed that I had not installed libjpeg because JPEG support was not available. Having not setup the server myself, I just assumed that it was not installed and I compiled libjpeg 8 from the source. This ended up in my /usr/local/lib/ directory. I cleared out my Buildout files and rebuilt everything. This time when PIL compiled I had JPEG support. But I went to the Django Admin and tried to upload a JPEG though an ImageField with no luck. I got the "Upload a valid image. The file you uploaded was either not an image or a corrupted image" error. Just as a test I opened up a the Djano shell and ran the following: > import Image > i = Image.open( "/absolute_path/file.jpg" ) > print i <JpegImagePlugin.JpegImageFile image mode=RGB size=940x375 at 0x7F908C529BD8> This runs with no errors and shows that PIL is able to open JPEG's. After doing some reading, I come across this thread: Is it possible to control which libraries apache uses? Looks like PHP also uses libjpeg and is loading before Django, and therefor loading libjpeg 6.2 before. This is show when using lsof: COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME apache2 2561 www-data mem REG 202,1 146032 639276 /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62.0.0 So my thought is that I should be using libjpeg 6.2. So I removed libjpeg located in my /usr/local/lib directory. After rereading the PIL installation instructions, I realized that I might not have the dev/header files for libjpeg that PIL needs. So I also uninstalled libjpeg using the aptitude uninstaller (sudo aptitude remove libjpeg62). Then to ensure that I got the header files that PIL needed I installed libjpeg using aptitude: (sudo aptget install libjpeg62-dev). From here I cleaned out my Buildout directory, and reran Buildout, which in turn reinstalled PIL. Once again, I have JPEG support, now using the libjpeg62. So I go to test in the Django Admin. Still no JPEG support. So I wanted to test JPEG support in general and see if the exception was not handled, what kind of error it would throw. So in my homepage view I added the following code to open a JPEG image: import Image i = Image.open( "/absolute_path/file.jpg" ) v = i.verify() Then I pass i to the HTML view just to easily see the output. I deploy these changes to the server and restart. I am surprised not to see an error and get the following output: {{ i }} - <JpegImagePlugin.JpegImageFile image mode=RGB size=940x375 at 0x7F908C529BD8> {{ v }} - None So at this point I am really confused: Why can I successfully open a JPEG while the admin cannot? Am I missing something, is this not an issue with libjpeg? If not an issue with libjpeg, why can I upload a PNG with no issues? • Saving images only available when logged in

  Hi, I've been having some trouble getting images to download when logged into a website that requires you to be logged in. The images can only be viewed when you are logged in to the site, but you cannot seem to view them directly in the browser if you copy its location into a tab/new window (it redirects to an error page - so I guess the containing folder has be .htaccess-ed). • Flex SDK missing fundamental things

  All of a sudden Flash Builder 4 is missing all kinds of fundamental things and is generating incorrect errors. I've had the same issue yesterday, where I fixed it by downloading a new Flex SDK and importing that into FB. I did this again, but this time it fixed nothing. I don't think it's something I did, like removing critical references from the build path. The errors also appeared on projects I was not working on at the time. It occurs for ActionScript, Flex and Flex Library projects alike. Update 3: Well, i've singled the problem down to a single piece of code, though a very simple one. I can make a new workspace in FB and things work ok, then screw the workspace up forever by adding this code to a project. All projects will have errors and closing or even removing the faulty project does not change this. Making another new workspace (without the faulty code) makes my projects compile again. It appears to be an SDK problem, not Flash Builder.   Hey everyone, First off, I am very bad at flash/actionscript, it is not my main programming language. I have created my own file upload flash app that has been working great for me up until this point. It uses PHP to upload the files and sends back a status message which gets displayed in a status box to the user. Now I have run into a situation where I need the HTML to pass a parameter to the Actionscript, and then to the PHP file using POST.   I'm a beginner, I play with FindFirstFileW() of the winapi - C. The unicoded path is: " \\?\c:\Français\", and I would like to concat "*" to this path of type wchar_t (then I will use it as an arg for FindFirstFileW()). I made two test cases of mine, the first is ansi_string() which seem to work fine, the second is unicode_string() - which I don't quite understand how should I concat the additional "*" char to the unicoded path. I write the strings to a file, because I'm not able to print Unicoded characters to stdout.   I want to know as to how to configure known types in WCF. For example, I have a Person class and an Employee class. The Employee class is a sublass of the Person class. Both class are marked with a [DataContract] attribute. I dont want to hardcode the known type of a class, like putting a [ServiceKnownType(typeof(Employee))] at the Person class so that WCF will know that Employee is a subclass of Person. Now, I added to the host's App.config the following XML configuration: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.runtime.serialization> <dataContractSerializer> <declaredTypes> <add type="Person, WCFWithNoLibrary, Version=1.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=null"> <knownType type="Employee, WCFWithNoLibrary, Version=1.0.0.0,Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null" /> </add> </declaredTypes> </dataContractSerializer> </system.runtime.serialization> <system.serviceModel> ....... </system.serviceModel> </configuration> I compiled it, run the host, added a service reference at the client and added some code and run the client.   I'm working with eBay's LMS (Large Merchant Services) and kept running into the error: org.xml.sax.SAXException: SimpleDeserializer encountered a child element, which is NOT expected, in something it was trying to deserialize. After alot of trial and error I traced the problem down. All of my XML is currently being marshalled via JAXB and I'm not sure what is the best way to go about adding a second xmlns attribute to a different element in my file. So that's the question. How do I add an xmlns attribute to another element in JAXB? The BulkDataExchange probably takes the XML payload, breaks it up, and send the pieces out to the Merchant or Trading API. The inner pieces of the payload then do not have the namespace and the get the error. This is a guess on my part but I wouldn't be surprised if this is what was going on behind the scenes. It seems like from that link it's impossible since using a where predicate because entity class doesn't know what any of the properties are until I pass them in. Lastly, I need some way of setting a new object as the return type set to the implementation type, in nhibernate (what I am trying to convert from) it was simply this line that did it: ImplentationType entity = default(ImplentationType); However default is an nhibernate command, how would I do this for LINQ? EDIT: getOne doesn't seem to work even when just going off the base class (this is a partial class of the auto generated LINQ classes). I even removed the generics.   I have been hitting a dead end with this program. I am trying to build a class that will let me control the BIP's of a button when it is in use. so far this is what i have (see following.) It keeps running this weird error TypeError: 'module' object is not callable - I, coming from C++ and C# (for some reason the #include... is so much easier) , have no idea what that means, Google is of no help so... I know I need some real help with sintax and such - anything woudl be helpful.   I have an WCF-service running on an server, and occasionally(1-2 times every month) it throws an COMException with the informative message ”Unknown error (0x8005008)”. When i googled for this particular error I only got threads about problems when creating virtual directories in IIS. And the source code hasn’t anything with making a virtual directory in IIS. Looking back at the stack it is when issuing the Copy method. DirectoryServiceLib.LdapProvider.DirectoryPost.Copy(DirectoryServiceLib.LdapProvider.DirectoryPost) So looking in the sourcecode: DirectoryPost postInLimbo = DirectoryPostFactory.Instance().GetDirectoryPost(LdapConfigReader.Instance().GetConfigValue("LimboDN"), idGenPerson.ID.UserId); if (postInLimbo != null) newPost.Copy(postInLimbo); This code is looking for another post in OU=limbo with the same UserId and if it finds one it copies the attributes to the new post. In this case it does and it fails with personalprescriptioncode. I've looked in Active Directory under OU=Limbo and the post exist there with the attribute personalprescriptioncode=31243. Question 1: Why does it display no data for some of the PARAMETERS and LOCALS? Is it the GC who has cleaned up before the memorydump had been created. Question 2: Is there anymore i can do to get to the solution to this problem?

• Win32: IProgressDialog will not disappear until you mouse over it.

  i'm using the Win32 progress dialog. The damnest thing is that when i call: progressDialog.StopProgressDialog(); it doesn't disappear. It stays on screen until the user moves her mouse over it - then it suddenly disappers. The call to StopProgressDialog returns right away (i.e. it's not a synchronous call). i can prove this by doing things after the call has returned: private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { //Force red background to prove we've started this.BackColor = Color.Red; this.Refresh(); //Start a progress dialog IProgressDialog pd = (IProgressDialog)new ProgressDialog(); pd.StartProgressDialog(this.Handle, null, PROGDLG.Normal, IntPtr.Zero); //The long running operation System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(10000); //Stop the progress dialog pd.SetLine(1, "Stopping Progress Dialog", false, IntPtr.Zero); pd.StopProgressDialog(); pd = null; //Return form to normal color to prove we've stopped. this.BackColor = SystemColors.Control; this.Refresh(); } The form: starts gray turns red to show we've stared turns back to gray color to show we've called stop So the call to StopProgressDialog has returned, except the progress dialog is still sitting there, mocking me, showing the message: Stopping Progress Dialog Doesn't Appear for 10 seconds Additionally, the progress dialog does not appear on screen until the System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(10000); ten second sleep is over. Most of the methods in IProgressDialog, when translated into C# (or into Delphi), use the compiler's automatic mechanism of converting failed COM HRESULTS into a native language exception. In other words the following two signatures will throw an exception if the COM call returned an error HRESULT (i.e. a value less than zero): //C# void StopProgressDialog(); //Delphi procedure StopProgressDialog; safecall; Whereas the following lets you see the HRESULT's and react yourself: //C# [PreserveSig] int StopProgressDialog(); //Delphi function StopProgressDialog: HRESULT; stdcall; HRESULT is a 32-bit value. If the high-bit is set (or the value is negative) it is an error. i am using the former syntax. So if StopProgressDialog is returning an error it will be automatically converted to a language exception. Note: Just for SaG i used the [PreserveSig] syntax, the returned HRESULT is zero; MsgWait? The symptom is similar to what Raymond Chen described once, which has to do with the incorrect use of PeekMessage followed by MsgWaitForMultipleObjects: "Sometimes my program gets stuck and reports one fewer record than it should. I have to jiggle the mouse to get the value to update. After a while longer, it falls two behind, then three..." But that would mean that the failure is in IProgressDialog, since it fails equally well on CLR .NET WinForms and native Win32 code.
