  Hello, here is my dilemma. I have two worksheets one that has the name of clients and one that i want to copy the names to depending on the city. For instance: associated to each column is last name, first name and city. i have hundreds of names associated to different cities and what i would like is from worksheet1.xls to copy all the New York clients to worksheet2.xls either when i open worksheet2 or via macro what ever is easier and because last name is in one cell and the first name is in the other i would have to copy both. I saw that its possible to link cells from one worksheet to another and then do a vlookup depending on the criteria. Is that the best easiest way or is there another? thanks in advance and cheers oleg

  Hi All, I am writing a tool which generates some Spreadsheet ML (XML) to create an Excel spreadsheet for my users. I have defined a style as follows: <Style ss:ID="GreenText"> <Font ss:FontName="Arial" ss:Size="9" ss:Color="#8CBE50" /> </Style> This works to an extent, but when I open it in Excel the colour rendered for the text isn't the one I specified - it's a brighter version. I can use the same colour reference for a cell border and the colour is rendered correctly. Can anyone shed any light on why the text colour isn't rendered correctly? Thanks!

  I have the following path in NSString *path1, /Users/srikanth/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications/9E6E8B22-C946-4442-9209-75BB0E924434/Documents/snook.jpg How can I show the image snook.jpg. I need it to show in UITableViewCell for cell.imageView.image if path1 has the path. I used the following to get the last part of the path1 , snook.jpg. NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:path1]; NSString *imageString = [url path]; But, url is showing as nil. How can I do it ? Thank you.

• How do I set the next available custom color in the ColorDialog?

  I'm currently coding in VB.net. A user places the cursor in a table cell and clicks on "Table Background Color" to edit the current background colour. Currently I have been able to detect the current colour (for instance a light blue) and set that colour in the ColorDialog (Colour swatches are correct and RGB values are correct). What I would like to do is enable the user to click on the "Add to Custom Colors" to save the colour. Problem is, it sets the first square in the custom colours area (which happens to already be filled in with another custom colour), rather than finding the next square that is white and set it there instead. Is this possible? If the user selects a new custom colour square when they first load the ColorDialog, the current colour (light blue) disappears and the colour swatches and RGB values are set as white. Thanks

  I am re-using Apple's AdvancedTableViewCells example to create a custom, fast-scrolling tableview. Specifically, I am using their CompositeSubviewBasedApplicationCell method which draws the content on the tableviewcell with drawRect Everything works, but how do you hide a label or set the tag for a label or image using their method? Doing it this way is pretty new to me (without IB), so I apologize ahead of time if it's something easy. • Editable QTreeView with expandable cells

  Hi everyone, I tried to write an editable table based on QTreeView with wordwraped content in cells which in turn should expand in height (that whole text was visible) like usual cells in tables like in MSWord, but have met insuperable obstacles: first - i can't set fixed cell size. second - i can't make text display in cells wordwraped. For this i used void QTreeWidget::setItemWidget ( QTreeWidgetItem * item, int column, QWidget * widget ), but it works only for readonly solutions. And i haven't come up with any other idea. Can such behavior of QTreeView be realized? And how to solve those problems of mine? Thanks in advance Serge

• jQuery not replacing text in ReportViewer

  I'm trying to replace text that I got back in the ReportViewer using jQuery. My div, wrapped in the table cell, display "empty" as text - which I plan on replacing with my own formatted text on the client side. I can use jQuery just fine to set a class on the div (which is inside a td element). Example: jQuery('div:contains("empty")').addClass('replacetext'); But for some reason I cannot do this: jQuery('div:contains("empty")').replaceWith('<div>Hello World</div>'); I tried this out on some other elements on the page and jQuery does work... but it seems like this issue is ReportViewer (I'm using 2008) specific.

I can get the HTML on the postback and do stuff with it.   Hi, I'm making an app for fun and would like to know how to implement a checkout/basket system on the app. Basically, a list of products is pulled in from a web server in form of XML file, which is then displayed in a UITableView controller. A tap on the cell takes the user to a more detailed overview of the product. The app would need to be able to get the product into a basket type thing, and this is where I'm getting stuck.   I am working in JTable and I have a requirement like this. Say There are 4 columns namely 10,20,30,40 Now the value usually comes like 10-20 20-30 and 30-40 So it was easy for us to display the name for this range. But recently the values have started to come randomly like 15-25 10-25,25-30 In this case our JTable should dynamically adjust the size of the row such that it represents that range only meaning it should not disturb the existing cells and only rows which diverge from the normal range. TO be more precise I should be able to merge and split cells based on the content of the cell.

  I've simple iphone application. it has 3 views. first view is portrait view that has 3 buttons. second view has a table view which is also a portrait. In first view, on click of a button second view is shown. on click of a cell in second view, thrid view is shown. but third view is a landscape. I'm using "pushViewController" to navigate from each view. When creating views in IB, first two views are portait and 3rd view is a landscape.   I am trying to write a simple piece of Jquery in which the script will check whether a table cell contains a range of numbers. I'm unsure how to do this, because if you were to do something like this: var num_range = ">1"; $("td:contains(" + num_range + ")").css('background-color', '#000'); ...the script only detects if the td contains the exact text "1", rather than what I'm after, it detecting whether any tds contain any numbers greater than 1. (Any then styling the background) Thanks for any help, I'm a Javascript/Jquery novice!

• Fit <TD> height to page

  Consider a table with three rows with heights 10, *, 10. I'd like the middle cell to be high enough to fit to the page vertically. Unfortunately "height:100%" doesn't work at table, tr, or td level, possibly due to standards. Even if it happens to work, I don't want 100%, I want 100% of clientHeight-20px :) I can always write script to calculate remaining clientHeight but I wonder if it can be achieved in HTML/CSS standards. NOTE: I'm using table just for layout, if there are other ways to lay them down in a better way I'm ok with those approaches too.

• Scroll UITableViewCell above keyboard for small tableview

  I have a tableview which is added to a UIViewController as the tableview only fills the bottom 3/4 of the screen.The rows contain editable UITextFields. When a field is tapped, the keyboard appears but the table does not scroll upwards as would normally be the case. Consequently, the keyboard obscures the field being edited. I have tried calling [tableView scrollToRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath atScrollPosition:(UITableViewScrollPosition)scrollPosition animated:(BOOL)animated] but this has no effect if the table contains only a few rows. How can I get the table to scroll a specific cell above the keyboard? Thank you

• ipad dev - in the UISplitViewController template, how is the method setDetailItem called?

  I am developing an ipad app which has a UISplitViewController. (I use IB to build the interface, but I do not use the template) Both master and detail (left and right) views are navigationController. The left view subclass UITableView and the right view should push another controller if the cell on the left is selected. I don't know how to make my detail view responds to my master view. Also, in the template, the detailViewController has a id detailItem and a method setDetailItem. How are these two connected? I cannot see any connection between but setDetailItem is called when detailViewController.detailItem is being called. Thanks in advance.

Why does the button display 100 x 100 size of the image when I've set the UIButton's size to 28 x 28?

• How to Make URLs clickable inside of UITableViewCell ?

  I know how to use UIWebView and can invoke a WebView if it is associated with a specific button or UITableViewCell. What I am trying to achieve is to have a UITableViewCell with a chunk of text. That chunk of text might contain a URL. I want to make the URL into a clickable link and have that link open into a WebView. My thought so far has been that I need to detect a link and insert it as a UIButton within the cell... but I don't know if that is the right way to go about this. Any ideas or input would be much appreciated.

• Alternatives to javascript function-based iteration (e.g. jQuery.each())

  I've been watching Google Tech Talks' Speed Up Your Javascript and in talking about loops, the speaker mentions to stay away from function-based iterations such as jQuery.each() (among others, at about 24:05 in the video). He briefly explains why to avoid them which makes sense, but admittedly I don't quite understand what an alternative would be. Say, in the case I want to iterate through a column of table cells and use the value to manipulate the adjacent cell's value (just a quick example). Can anyone explain and give an example of an alternative to function-based iteration?

• JTable.setRowHeight prevents me from adding more rows

  I'm working on a pretty simple Java app in order to learn more about JTables, TableModels, and custom cell renderers. The table is a simple table with 8 columns only with text in them. When you click on an "add" button, a dialog pops up and lets you enter the data for the columns. Now to my problem. One of the columns (the last one) should allow for multiple lines of text. I'm already putting HTML into the field, but it is not wrapping. I did some research and looked into JTable#setRowHeight(). However, once I use setRowHeight, I can no longer add rows to the table. The data is put into the table model, but it does not show in the table. If I remove the setRowHeight line, then it adds data just fine. Is there another step to adding data to my data model that I'm missing? Thanks a lot!

Since i'm not using the onblur property where I could have saved the old value and passed it to the update function.

  QTableWidget::setItemPrototype says following. "The table widget will use the item prototype clone function when it needs to create a new table item. For example when the user is editing in an empty cell. This is useful when you have a QTableWidgetItem subclass and want to make sure that QTableWidget creates instances of your subclass." How does this actually work as you can pass any of the QTableWidgetItem subclass pointer to setItemPrototype and at run time there is no way you can get the size of an object having just pointer to it?
