  I have been searching for a way to fix this problem for a while now. It seems something could be wrong on the javascript, or maybe it has something to do with the positioning. This page http://www.medspilates.cl/ works fine on FF, on Chrome, on Safari and on IE8, but on ie7 it doesnt, the body gets displaced to the right and the main content disappears, it's also happening on ie6 (it didnt but now it does). Sorry to post the full page but i can't pin point the exact problem except maybe the function i'm using for positioning $(document).ready(function(){var height = $(window).height(); $('#menu').css('margin-top', $(window).height() - $(window).height() /4) $('#post1').css('margin-left', $(window).width() - $(window).width() /1.125) }) any help would be apreciated since I just cant find the answer.

• How to prevent Excel from wanting to start in Safe Mode?

  We have a background process that calls Excel for generation of report spreadsheets. Occasionally, a crash or inadvertent server reboot will occur while Excel is running. The first launch of Excel after the restart brings up the dialog box (paraphrasing here) "Would you like to start Excel in safe mode?" (Yes/No) The issue is that our background app can't handle this dialog box, and acts as if Excel will not start properly, and the background jobs fail as a result. I can find CL switches for starting Excel in safe mode, but I can't find anything that will instruct Excel to always start in normal mode without that prompt dialog. (I don't have access to the other program's code, so I can't make it pass through a "Yes" value if it runs into that box.) Is there a registry hack or some other way I can force Excel into normal mode every time it's called?

• reinventing the wheels: Node.JS/Event-driven programming v.s. Functional Programming?

  Now there's all the hype lately about Node.JS, an event driven framework using Javascript callbacks. To my limited understanding, its primary advantage seems to be that you don't have to wait step by step sequentially (for example, you can fetch the SQL results, while calling other functions too). So my question is: how is this different, or better than just functional languages, like CL, Haskell, Clojure etc? If not better, then why don't people just do functional languages then (instead of reinventing the wheel with Javascript)? Please note that I have none experience in either Node.JS nor functional programming. So some basic explanation can be helpful.

  Hello All I have created a simple windows application in .NET 2008. Im packaging the same into a setup file using .NET Setup and Deployment. Also i am customizing it to include a License Agreement UI. And i am pointing the License Agreement window to read the license.rtf file which is being included in the Application folder.   Hi, I have an OneToOne relationship between my models Account and Company the table names are Accounts and Companies respectively. Here is a brief screenshot of the structure: http://cl.ly/1AEU Everything works well, but mysteriously when I use the OneToOne associations I have accessors like: var db = new DB(); var account = db.Accounts.First(); var company = account.Companies; // note the plural not the singular accessor So, what's happing is that even if using OneToOne association, I still get the plural accessor with "companies" and not "company", if it this is a pure object representation and not an EntitySet generated in case when it s an oneToMany relationship.   Intro: I have a Python application using a Cassandra 1.2.4 cluster with a replication factor of 3, all reads and writes are done with a consistency level of 2. To access the cluster I use the CQL library. The Cassandra cluster is running on rackspace's virtual servers. The problem: From time to time one of the nodes can become slower than usual, in this case I want to be able to detect this situation and prevent making requests to the slow node and if possible to stop using it at all (this should theoretically be possible since the RF is 3 and the CL is 2 for every single request). The questions: What's the best way of detecting the slow node from a Python application? Is there a way to stop using one of the Cassandra nodes from Python in this scenario without human intervention? Thanks in advance!

I ran the cywin shell (from c:\cywin) and ran Now, It's under a port I know is safe and fowarded properly, but I won't share it's number. It's not a common port, but it's under 40000. Firewalls are off etc etc. I'm on the first Admin account made on the box. (It's full admin) I've run the following commands chmod +r /etc/passwd chmod +r /etc/group hmod 777 /var /*Created New Admin User Account To Be Used via SSH*/ mkpasswd -cl > /etc/passwd mkgroup --local > /etc/group I can connect locally, but not externally. I know my ports etc are fine. Any possible problems, as i really need this tunnel up :P

I want to make any number less than 10 'other' and then sum the 'other's into one value. This replaces the countries values with less than 10 in the number column to other but I can't work out how to sum them.   Hi there, I'm building my own webserver based on a tutorial. I have found a simple way to initiate a TCP connection and send one segment of http data (the webserver will run on a microcontroller, so it will be very small) Anyway, the following is the sequence I need to go through: receive SYN send SYN,ACK receive ACK (the connection is now established) receive ACK with HTTP GET command send ACK send FIN,ACK with HTTP data (e.g 200 OK) receive FIN,ACK <- I don't recieve this packet! send ACK Everything works fine until I send my acknowledgement and HTTP 200 OK message. The client won't send an acknowledgement to those two packages and thus no webpage is being displayed. I've added a pcap file of the sequence how I recorded it with wireshark. Pcap file: http://cl.ly/5f5 (now it's the right data) All sequence and acknowledgement numbers are correct, checksum are ok. Flags are also right. I have no idea what is going wrong.

The application references the class library project. This, of course, complies and works well. However, when you right-click (in the vb.net application code) a function prototype/object type defined in the class library, and select "Go to definition", the object browser opens providing you with the the list of methods available for the class the class library consists of. BAD. However, if you try to do the same when both the application and cl are in c#, this works just fine and you navigate driectly to the relevant function/class.GOOD. Known issue? Solvable?
