• How to control CSS class applied to ASP.NET 4 Menu with RenderingMode=List

  I am using an ASP.NET 4.0 Menu control with RenderingMode=List and am struggling with creating the appropriate CSS. Each menu item is represented by an <li tag that contains a nested <a tag with what appear to be fixed class names: <a class="level1" for unselected level 1 menu items <a class="level2" for unselected level 2 menu items <a class="level1 selected" for the selected level 1 menu item ... etc... What I want to do is to is to prevent the currently selected menu item from being "clickable". To do so I tried using: if (menuItem.Selected) menuItem.Selectable = false; This has the desired effect of removing the href attribute from the <a tag but also removes the class attribute - and as a result my CSS can not identify what level the menu item belongs to! Looks to me like a possible bug, but in any case I can't find any documentation describing what CSS class names are used, nor whether there is any way to control this (the old Style properties don't appear to have any effect). Ideally I would like to have "level" class attributes on the <li tags, not just the nested <a tags.

The fieldset tag is in the response, so you don't see it here but it's there - everything is returned back fine (I checked with Firebug). Why do the above two lines of JS never run or have any effect?

  I only have the .wsdl and I want to put the data that the web services return in the RSS. And in a web page of SAP, I can only upload RSS, so I need put the information of the web services in the RSS For example, I put the information manually(name and total value) in the fields <title> and <descripcion>, these data are extracted from the web services. But sometimes I don´t know how much information brings the web service. • QuadTrees - how to update when internal items are moving

  I've implemented a working QuadTree. It subdivides 2-d space in order to accomodate items, identified by their bounding box (x,y,width,height) on the smallest possible quad (up to a minimum area). My code is based on this implementation (mine is in Lua instead of C#) : http://www.codeproject.com/KB/recipes/QuadTree.aspx I've been able to successfully implement insertions and deletions successfully. I've turn now my attention to the update() function, since my items' position and dimensions change over time. My first implementation works, but it is quite naïve: function QuadTree:update(item) self:remove(item) return self.root:insert(item) end Yup, I basically remove and reinsert every item every time they move. This works, but I'd like to optimize it a bit more; after all, most of the time, moving items still remain on the same quadTree node most of the iterations. Is there any standard way to deal with this kind of update? In case it helps, my code is here: http://github.com/kikito/passion/blob/master/ai/QuadTree.lua I'm not looking for someone to implement it for me; pointers to an existing working implementation (even in other languages) would suffice.

• Android: changing drawable states of option menu items seems to have side-effects

Now, if in onPrepareOptionsMenu the second menu item gets disabled, its label and icon become gray, but also the icon of the first menu item becomes gray, while the label of that fist menu item stays black and it remains clickable. What is causing this crosstalk between the two icons/drawables? Shouldn't the system handle things like mutate() in this case? I've included a screenshot:

  You always hear that functional code is inherently easier to parallelize than non-functional code, so I decided to write a function which does the following: Given a input of strings, total up the number of unique characters for each string. So, given the input [ "aaaaa"; "bbb"; "ccccccc"; "abbbc" ], our method will returns a: 6; b: 6; c: 8. Its not as straightforward as it looks since the innerloop adds items to a Map shared between all of the inputs. I'd like the inner loop factored out into its own thread, and I don't want to use any mutable state. How would I re-write this function using an Async workflow?

I've tried making the Vector3 a static variable, however I think it refers to the last instance of the object. How do I keep all of these object in memory? I think there being garbage collected. Any thoughts?

• How should I organize my mvc templates?

  Hi, In the new version of MVC we have been given display and editor templates. I was wondering how to make the best possible use of these. I was at first thinking in the line of creating one for a collection and one for an item in the case I want to display either as a list or single but it does not really make sense to me. I'll show you what I mean and please comment if this is wrong. • Swipe left/right to push next/previous details view

  I am working on a ios application, using storyboard. I have a simple table view with rows. Each row has a "key" string to identify it. When the user clicks on a row I push the next view "DetailsViewController" and pass the "key" as a parameter in the prepareForSegue method. The data in the second view will change based on the "key" passed. In the "DetailsViewController" I want to add a swipe gesture, when the user swipes right, I want to push the next details view. It will be as if he clicked on the next row in the table view. So to rephrase, the user has 2 ways of switching between items: he can click the item in the table view and the details view will show, he can then go back and select another item. Or he can click on a row, and in the details view he can swipe left and right to see the previous/next item. i added the uigesture recognizer: UISwipeGestureRecognizer *recognizer; recognizer = [[UISwipeGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:@selector(handleSwipe:)]; [recognizer setDirection:UISwipeGestureRecognizerDirectionRight]; [[self view] addGestureRecognizer:recognizer]; - (void) handleSwipe:(UISwipeGestureRecognizer *) sender { //I want to go to the next item in the tableview } I hope I was clear.   Hi. The idea was to create a message box that stores my user name, message, and post datetime into the database as messages are sent. Soon came to realise, what if the user changed his name? So I decided to use the user id (icn) to identify the message poster instead. However, my chunk of codes keep giving me the same error. Says that there are no rows in the dataset ds2. I've tried my Query on my SQL and it works perfectly so I really really need help to spot the error in my chunk of codes here.   I am writing a short Sweave document that outputs into a Beamer presentation, in which I am using the sagetex package to solve an equation for two parameters in the beta binomial distribution, and I need to assign the parameter values into the R session so I can do additional processing on those values. I would like to save the parameter values a1,b1,a2,b2,a3,b3 into R objects so that I can use them in simulations. I cannot find any documentation in the sagetex package on how to save output from sage commands into variables for use with other programs (in this case R). Any suggestions on how to get these values into R?

• JQuery tablesorter - Second click on column header doesn't resort

  I'm using tablesorter in on a table I added to a view in django's admin (although I'm not sure this is relevant). When I click the same column header a second time - it does not reorder to ascending order. • Seam @Factory in abstract base class?

  I've got a series of web actions I'm implementing in Seam to perform create, read, update, etc. operations. For my read/update/delete actions, I'd like to have individual action classes that all extend an abstract base class. I'd like to put the @Factory method in the abstract base class to retrieve the item that is to be acted upon. For example, I have this as the base class: public abstract class BaseAction { @In(required=false)@Out(required=false) private MyItem item=null; public MyItem getItem(){...} public void setItem(...){...} @Factory("item") public void initItem(){...} } My subclasses would extend BaseAction, so that I don't have to repeat the logic to load the item that is to be viewed, deleted, updated, etc. However, when I start my application, Seam throws errors saying I have declared multiple @Factory's for the same object. Is there any way around this? Is there any way to provide the @Factory in the base class without encoutnering these errors?

  I have a series of items arriving which are used in one of my data structures, and I need a way to keep track of those items that are retained. interface Item {} class Foo implements Item { ... } class Baz implements Item { ... } class StateManager { List<Foo> fooList; Map<Integer, Baz> bazMap; public List<Item> getItems(); } What I want is that if I do the following: for (int i = 0; i < SOME_LARGE_NUMBER; ++i) { /* randomly do one of the following: * 1) put a new Foo somewhere in the fooList * 2) delete one or more members from the fooList * 3) put a new Baz somewhere in the bazMap * 4) delete one or more members from the bazMap */ } then if I make a call to StateManager.getItems(), I want to return a list of those Foo and Baz items, which are found in the fooList and the bazMap, in the order they were added. Items that were deleted or displaced from fooList and bazMap should not be in the returned list. How could I implement this? SOME_LARGE_NUMBER is large enough that I don't have the memory available to retain all the Foo and Baz items, and then filter them.

• Using `<List>` when dealing with pointers in C#.

  How can I add an item to a list if that item is essentially a pointer and avoid changing every item in my list to the newest instance of that item? Here's what I mean: I am doing image processing, and there is a chance that I will need to deal with images that come in faster than I can process (for a short period of time). After this "burst" of images I will rely on the fact that I can process faster than the average image rate, and will "catch-up" eventually. So, what I want to do is put my images into a <List> when I acquire them, then if my processing thread isn't busy, I can take an image from that list and hand it over. My issue is that I am worried that since I am adding the image "Image1" to the list, then filling "Image1" with a new image (during the next image acquisition) I will be replacing the image stored in the list with the new image as well (as the image variable is actually just a pointer). So, my code looks a little like this: while (!exitcondition) { if(ImageAvailabe()) { Image1 = AcquireImage(); ImgList.Add(Image1); } if(ImgList.Count 0) { ProcessEngine.NewImage(ImgList[0]); ImgList.RemoveAt(0); } } Given the above, how can I ensure that: - I don't replace all items in the list every time Image1 is modified. - I don't need to pre-declare a number of images in order to do this kind of processing. - I don't create a memory devouring monster. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
