  Hi all, I have come code that reads the registry and looks for a value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\App\ but when running on 64bit versions of Windows the value is under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\App. How should I best approach this?   I'm trying to create a little search box that allows you to search Twitter based on the keyword you enter in the input field. While it's work, it only works if you press the Submit button. I would also like to be able to press the Enter or Return key to initiate the search. I've tried using the .sumbit function and wrapping my input around a form element with no success.   (I know there have already been a lot of questions about this, but none of them mentioned the dv4t specifically.) I'm thinking about getting an HP Pavilion dv4t-4200 or -5100, but something that's really irritating me is that by default the function keys (F1-F12) are "inverted"—without holding the Fn key, the function keys do things like change the brightness, change or mute the volume, and switch to an external display. Only if you hold Fn will they actually produce F1, F2, etc. This is not how keyboards are supposed to work. Is there any way to disable this "feature" that has been verified to work on the HP Pavilion dv4t-4200 or HP Pavilion dv4t-5100? I don't want to buy this computer unless this is possible.

Set Java Home I pointed it to JRE 1.6.0_22 $ export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jre1.6.0_22/ 2. Create a self signed ECC cert in NSS DB I created NSS DB with self signed ECC certificate. If you already have NSS Db with ECC cert (and key) skip this step. $export NSS_DIR=/export/home/nss/ $$NSS_DIR/certutil -N -d . $$NSS_DIR/certutil -S -x -s "CN=test,C=US" -t "C,C,C" -n ecc-cert -k ec -q nistp192 -d . 3. • Is there a way to hide & reveal the launcher at will with the press of a key?

  I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 with the default Unity desktop environment. I'm aware of all the keyboard shortcuts that relate to the launcher as well as the possible tweaks using Ubuntu Tweak Tool, Unsettings, MyUnity. What I'd like to know is this: Is there a way to hide & reveal the launcher at will with the press of a key? Example given, press Key A, launcher hides, press Key A again and launcher is revealed until I press the A Key once more and so forth. The autohide function won't do because I want the launcher to stay visible once revealed.

  I'll get to the point: I have a player in my game that you control with the keyboard yet the key methods in the player class and ActionListener w/ KeyAdapter in the Board class don't seem to fire. So far I've tried adding these key methods into the JFrame, doesn't seem to let me move him even though other objects that I have (enemies) can move fine.   I'm trying to map: Super+h -> Left Super+j -> Down Super+k -> Up Super+l -> Right globally under X. The idea is I don't want to leave my home row that often to use the arrow keys, so I'll use the Super modifier + hjkl to emulate the arrow keys under X. Is there any way to do this? One thing I've tried is xbindkeys + xte using this configuration: "xte 'keydown Up' 'keyup Up'" Mod4+k "xte 'keydown Down' 'keyup Down'" Mod4+j "xte 'keydown Left' 'keyup Left'" Mod4+h "xte 'keydown Right' 'keyup Right'" Mod4+l but there seems to a large delay between me pressing the key and noticing any result, and most of the time nothing happens at all. Is there a more elegant way of doing this that actually works with no delay?

  I usually end up deleting the entire known_hosts file, which I have no problems for. But just out of curiosity, Is it possible to remove just a single entry? I opened the known_hosts file, and other han understanding that the file contains fingerprints for a given machine, I dont understand anything. Below is the message I faced, which led me to ask this question. Add correct host key in /home/wissen16/.ssh/known_hosts to get rid of this message. Offending key in /home/wissen16/.ssh/known_hosts:1 RSA host key for foo.com has changed and you have requested strict checking. Host key verification failed. Thanks.

• Configuring Redhat / CentOS 5 SSH to authenticate to IPA server with public keys

  I'm trying to configure some Red Hat/CentOS servers to use an ipa-server on CentOS 6 for SSH authentication with public keys. I'm storing the public keys on the IPA server, which works great on Centos6 using "AuthorizedKeysCommand /usr/bin/sss_ssh_authorizedkeys" in /etc/ssh/sshd_config. However, on RH 5.10, neither the "AuthorizedKeysCommand" directive or the "/usr/bin/sss_ssh_authorizedkeys" command exist to pull the public key from the directory. Is there a different way to make this work? Googling this mostly returns instructions for setting it up on 6.

• How can I have the passphrase for a private key remembered for a user?

  I have a collection of web services running on Ubuntu Server 12.04 that pull code from a github repository. These services run under a specific user (let's call that user 'example'). In /home/example/.ssh/is_rsa is the private key associated with the relevant github account. When performing an operation such as git pull I am greeted with: Enter passphrase for key '/home/simplytestable/.ssh/id_rsa':. Enter the correct password and all is ok. The same private key is present on local development Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 machines and no passphrase is asked for. I'd like to be able to have the passphrase remembered so that upon entering it once it is never asked for again. This will aid in automating various web service updates. I'm guessing that the passphrase needs to be stored in the relevant user's keychain such that I don't have to enter it every time the private key needs to be unlocked. How can I achieve this?

• Encrypt tar file asymmetrically

  I want to achieve something like tar -c directory | openssl foo > encrypted_tarfile.dat I need the openssl tool to use public key encryption. I found an earlier question about symmetric encryption at the command promt (sic!), which does not suffice. I did take a look in the openssl(1) man page and only found symmetric encryption. Does openssl really not support asymmetric encryption? Basically many users are supposed to create their encrypted tar files and store them in a central location, but only few are allowed to read them.

• ^+Left Arrow and ^+Right Arrow suddenly stopped working on OS X

  Hello. I'm not really sure what to make of this. The key combination of ^← and ^→ have stopped working for one of the two users on my OS X installation. I use these keys all the time (switching tabs in terminal, IntelliJ primarily), and it's driving me crazy. On one user account, it works fine. On the other, it doesn't. This happened today and nothing significant comes to mind that would have caused some weird keybinding issue. If anyone has heard of or experienced anything like this, I would very much appreciate your advice! Thanks.
