    Hi, I'm using Lightbox to display photos. So If I have two categories of photos, "work" and "vacation", I would do... <a href="images/image-1.jpg" rel="lightbox[work]">image #1</a> <a href="images/image-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[work]">image #2</a> <a href="images/image-3.jpg" rel="lightbox[work]">image #3</a> <a href="images/image-4.jpg" rel="lightbox[vacation]">image #4</a> <a href="images/image-5.jpg" rel="lightbox[vacation]">image #5</a> <a href="images/image-6.jpg" rel="lightbox[vacation]">image #6</a> This displays 6 images, and when I click one of them, it starts the Lightbox. However, I'd like to be able to display only two images initially (one for 'work', one for 'vacation'), but when one of them is clicked, it behaves like the first example, e.g. display all photos in that category through Lightbox. Is this possible? If so, how? Any help is very much appreciated! :) Thanks

    I really need to make a UIWebView open up a specific PDF document that is in my project directory. I can't seem to find any tutorials on this. I found one, but the author was not specific about some of the code. I have to assume it's got to be quite a simple bit of code. Can someone help me code UIWebView to load a PDF? Thanks.

  • One to many too much data returned - MySQL

    I have 2 related MySQL tables in a one to many relationship. Customers: cust_id, cust_name, cust_notes Orders: order_id, cust_id, order_comments So, if I do a standard join to get all customers and their orders via PHP, I return something like: Jack Black, jack's notes, comments about jack's 1st order Jack Black, jack's notes, comments about jack's 2nd order Simon Smith, simon's notes, comments about simon's 1st order Simon Smith, simon's notes, comments about simon's 2nd order The problem is that *cust_notes* is a text field and can be quite large (a couple of thousand words). So, it seems like returning that field for every order is inneficient. I could use *GROUP_CONCAT* and JOINS to return all *order_comments* on a single row BUT order_comments is a large text field too, so it seems like that could create a problem. Should I just use two separate queries, one for the customers table and one for the orders table? Is there a better way?

  • Why doesn’t ABPersonViewController show any properties besides the name?

    For some reason, ABPersonViewController is unwilling to display any properties aside from the name, no matter what properties are set for it to display. I’m unable to use the AddressBookUI controllers to let a user select a contact to display, since my UI has custom requirements, otherwise I’d go that route (as Apple does in their sample project.)     Hi, I need help to figure the regex expression I have string = "STATE changed from [Fixed] to [Closed], CLOSED DATE added [Fri Jan 14 09:32:19 MST 2011], NOTES changed from [CLOSED[]<br />] to [TEST CLOSED <br />]" I need to grab NOTES changed from [CLOSED[]<br />] to [TEST CLOSED <br />] and take values CLOSED[] and TEST CLOSED in two string variables. So far I got to: Regex NotesChanged = new Regex(@"NOTES changed from \[(\w*|\W*)\] to \[([\w-|\W-]*)\]"); which matches only if "NOTES changed from" started at the beginning and has no '[]' within '[ ]', but I have "[CLOSED[]]" and also no "".     I've got in-place editing on a page in my app (using Rails 2.3.5 and jQuery). I want to know how to display an error on the page when the update fails. I'm using ajax (an XMLHttpRequest) to save an update to a Comment object. The controller has an update method like this: def update @comment = Comment.find(params[:id]) respond_to do |format| # if @comment.update_attributes!(params[:comment]) if false #deliberately forcing a fail here to see what happens format.json { render :nothing => true } else format.json { render :json => @comment.errors, :status => :unprocessable_entity } end end end In Firebug, I can see the server returns a "422" (an appropriate validation error status code). But it's a response to an XMLHttpRequest so there is no redirect to an error page. I think I actually want to do this: format.json { render :json => @comment.errors} and trigger some Javascript function that iterates through (and displays) any errors. I'm using a rails plugin http://github.com/janv/rest_in_place/ to implement the in-place editing. It doesn't appear to have any callback function to handle a failure. What are my options? Can I write some Javascript to respond to a failure condition without hacking the plugin? Do I have to hack the rest_in_place plugin to handle a failure condition? Is there a better plugin (for Rails or jQuery) that handles in-place editing, including failure conditions?

  • Why does Joomla debug show 446 queries logged and 446 legacy queries logged?

    I have been called in to fix the performance of a Joomla site that was already setup. I look at the debug output and it shows the same queries twice, once for queries logged and again for legacy queries logged. My guess is that it is actually running the same queries twice make for just under 900 queries per page (hope I am wrong) The Legacy plugin is disabled, so Legacy mode is not on at all. The site uses VirtueMart as well (which BTW isn't working properly if the cache in the Global Config is turned on) Besides the fact that I don't think it should be running 446 queries anyway (sometimes even up to 650 per page ), has anyone every experienced this issue, and where would I look to fix this.   • Why does my 64-bit IIS app pool show 3 gigabytes more virtual memory than private memory?

    I have an ASP.Net application that I am running on 64-bit IIS 6 on Windows XP x64. When I open performance counters after one page hit of a trivial page, I see a Private Bytes of about 88 megs, but a Virtual Bytes of about 3 Gigs. When I try the same thing with a VERY trivial ASP.Net app, I get the same result. We see something similar on Windows Server 2003 in production -- there it is an issue because we recycle when the virtual memory consumed outgrows a limit. Before we make any changes to our recycling settings, we'd like to answer the following questions: Why does the app pool grab such a large hunk of virtual memory? Is the amount of virtual memory headroom the app requests configurable? Thanks! Brett

If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster. what used on my form are basically a combination of html controls, asp.net controls and some asp.net mvc type controls. i submit the form using action="/Home/ProductAdded" and after doing some googling i found i was supposed to add in the machine key but after doing so, the index page becomes unviewable. because it couldn't find the index file now. removing the action helps, but now it just doesn't go anywhere. so what am i missing here? i feel i'm missing a lot of fundamentals understanding about asp.net mvc and i don't even know how to submit a form and go to a different page here!!

    I've got a few demo videos I've been making as tutorials, and I'm using a link to open a dialog box and put the demo video in that box. I use the same div to show other notes on the page when a user selects to view a complete note. The code I use to show the notes is jQuery('span.Notes').live('click', function(){ var note=jQuery(this).data('note'); jQuery('div#showNote').text(note); jQuery('div#showNote').append(''); jQuery('div#showNote').dialog({ modal: true, close: function(){ jQuery('div#showNote').dialog('destroy').empty(); } }); }); The code I use for the demo videos is VERY similar. jQuery('a.demoVid').click(function(){ var videoUrl=jQuery(this).attr('href'); jQuery('div#showNote').dialog({ modal: true, height: 400, width: 480, close: function(){ jQuery('div#showNote').dialog('destroy').empty(); } }); swfobject.embedSWF(videoUrl,'showNote','480','390','8.0.0'); return false; }); I can click on as many notes as I want, and the dialog opens up and shows the note. However, when I click the demoVid, the dialog opens, but then closing the dialog kills any other 'showNote' dialogs on the page, so I can't open any more notes, or demo videos.
