  • Do the HtmlWindow returned from the HtmlPage.PopupWindow can .Invoke or .Eval javascript

    Creating a separate PopupWindow that opens another web browser give me as return value a HtmlWindow object that is the same object type as the static "HtmlPage.Window" of the silverlight project. That object type provides the "Invoke" and "Eval" methods. I want to evaluate a javascript that can be located on my Silverlight code in a string value (Eval) or inside the uri that I have popped up (Invoke). Nomather script execution method I use, It fails. For eval, it gives me an InvalidOperationException with "Eval failed." message. For Invoke, it gives me an InvalidOperationException with "Failed to Invoke: TalkToJavaScript." message. Is there a way to execute javascript on a PopupWindow. The code here is a simple test. The first time that I press the button it popup the uri in a new webbrowser instance. The second time that I click, it tries to execute javascript on the destination uri window.     I've followed some tutorials on how to use Mod_Rewrite, but it's not working out.     I have Downloaded and Installed Ubuntu last month while downloading codecs for playing Music and Video Formats my Laptop (Dell XPS) crashed. later i again started the system now the problems i face are 1) After Signing in as User/Admin the wallpaper loads while all other windows disappear no UI (task bar and dock) is displayed even after say 30 min. 2) I uninstalled and reinstalled Ubnutu hence there were no problems but when i play Music files the Laptop crashes and the same sequence as above follows this has happened for last 6 times. 3) Whenever the UI disaapears after logging in the Hard Disk starts to heat up and there is considerable increase in power usage of the system. where in the power drain is notable. The presence or absence of charge in a capacitor is interpreted as a binary 1 or 0. Because capacitors have natural tendency to discharge, dynamic RAM requires periodic charge refreshing to maintain data storage. The term dynamic refers to the tendency of the stored charge to leak away, even with power continuously applied. Although the DRAM cell is used to store a single bit (0 or 1), it is essentially an analogue device. The capacitor can store any charge value within a range, a threshold value determines whether the charge is interpreted as a 1 or 0. SRAM (Static RAM) SRAM is a digital device that uses the same logic elements used in the processor. In SRAM, binary values are stored using traditional flip flop logic configurations. SRAM will hold its data as along as power is supplied to it. Unlike DRAM, no refresh is required to retain data. SRAM vs. DRAM DRAM is simpler and smaller than SRAM. Thus it is more dense and less expensive than SRAM. The cost of the refreshing circuitry for DRAM needs to be considered, but if the machine requires a large amount of memory, DRAM turns out to be cheaper than SRAM. SRAMS are somewhat faster than DRAM, thus SRAM is generally used for cache memory and DRAM is used for main memory. Types of ROM Read Only Memory (ROM) contains a permanent pattern of data that cannot be changed. ROM is non volatile meaning no power source is required to maintain the bit values in memory. While it is possible to read a ROM, it is not possible to write new data into it. An important application of ROM is microprogramming, other applications include library subroutines for frequently wanted functions, System programs, Function tables. A ROM is created like any other integrated circuit chip, with the data actually wired into the chip as part of the fabrication process. To reduce costs of fabrication, we have PROMS. Which is straight forward as long as you only expose a single function per context (static/element).   • Connecting a LAN to an OpenVPN server via a windows 7 client gateway

    I've got OpenVPN set up between my windows 7 client and linux server. The goal is that I'll get secure access to a webapp running on the server from any computer on the client LAN. I'm using ccd to assign static ip addresses to each client connection, with key authentication. It's working on my client machine (10.83.41.9), and when you go to the gateway IP address (10.83.41.1), it loads up the webapp. Now I really need the other computers on the client LAN to be able to connect to the webapp as well, via the windows machine. The client has a static IP address of 192.168.2.100 on the LAN, and I've enabled IP forwarding in windows (confirmed by ipconfig /all). In my router I've forwarded 10.83.41.1 / 255.255.255.255 to 192.168.2.100.     I've been learning Mootools, but I'm having problems firing custom events. I'm sure it must be something simple, but I can't see it for the life of me. I wrote a simple class to nudge some list items using Fx.Tween. But after a while it will disconnect and the only way to reconnect it is to restart the computer. Even then, sometimes it won't work. I've also noticed that since I've upgraded the computer, the computer will randomly enter into Power Save mode, and then it will tell me to log back in. I've done nothing to provoke it, other than using the Internet. I was wondering, could the entering into Power Save mode and the Internet disconnecting be somehow connected? I've updated the computer every time it asks me to do so, but it doesn't seem to be helping. If Ubuntu 10.04 would still be supported by next year, I would downgrade. But I have no other choice than to stick with 12.04. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    The file /usr/share/doc/linux-doc/usb/persist.txt.gz mentions that the USB-persist capability can be enabled for a given USB device by writing 1 to the file persist in that device's directory in /sys/bus/usb/devices/$device/power. This is said — if I understood correctly — to allow mountings of volumes on the drive to persist across power loss during suspend. However, I've discovered that the device I'd like to enable this facility for — a USB hard drive — does not have such a file in its corresponding directory, and that attempts to create it are rebuffed. Is there perhaps a kernel module that needs to be loaded for this to work? Do I need to build a custom kernel? I'm running ubuntu 10.10.

  • Fn keys for Brightness not working on Toshiba Satellite L755

    I am running Ubuntu 12.04 and I love it! The only problem is the keys for my brightness, F6 and F7, does not work when I am on battery power or AC power. It randomly works after I am idle for a while and log back in. The other weird thing is to see my battery indicator, I need to toggle my touch pad button that is right above the actual pad on and off for it to show up, and then back on so I can use my touch pad, obviously. The only other Fn buttons that work on my laptop is the button to mute (F1) Touch pad on and off (F9) and Fn+3 and Fn+4 for my volume. The only Fn buttons that I care if they work again are my brightness, which again, are F6 and F7. Thanks! James

  • Dragging a copy of all selected elements from a select box--possible?

    I have a picklist web interface: a pair of select elements with a pair of buttons (a left-pointing arrow and a right-pointing arrow) between them. Users can move items between the two columns by, eg, selecting one of options in the left column and clicking on the right-pointing arrow. Now I have an enhancement request: someone wants to be able to drag-and-drop items between the two columns instead of clicking a button. The problem with my initial two-select-box setup is that as soon as I click one of the highlighted options to initiate a drag, all of the other selected options are deselected. Using jQuery, I've attached mousedown event handlers to both the select boxes and each individual option that just call preventDefault() on the event object, but this isn't sufficient. On Firefox 3 the clicked-on option loses focus immediately, but all other options are still deseleted, and on IE6 (which I regrettably still have to support) it makes no difference at all. So I thought I could maybe create a reasonable facsimile of a select box using list elements or divs or something. I can create something reasonable-looking that works on Firefox, but on IE6, if I shift-click on an element of my pseudo-select object (in order to select a range of options), IE selects all of the text between where I click and the last place I clicked. Again, I've attached preventDefault-ing mousedown, mouseup, and click handlers to all of the elements involved, but it doesn't help. I've even tried overlaying transparent divs over both my original select boxes and my pseudo-select objects, thinking to intercept mouse clicks and manage the selections manually, but I can't make it work on IE. If I use a select box, I can't prevent clicks from changing the selection, and if I use text that just looks like a select element, I can't prevent it from selecting a range of text on a shift-click. Is there some general solution, or am I just out of luck?

  • Android maps out of memory error

    Hi , sometimes when running a google maps program with an overlay image i will receive a bit map out of memory error. It always seems to be at a random point in the app. Im not sure how to solve this. Anyone have any ideas ?   • OpenVPN stopped working, what could have happened?

    I have Openvpn, and it worked great when I used it on PC (Windows 8), then I copied all files (Certificates and config) to an Android 4 phone to use them. Now, Openvpn works on the phone, but not the PC. Specifically, when I open Google I get: The server at www.google.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed, but the VPN seems to be connected.     Im trying to eliminate two tables from my database. The tables are message_sort_options and per_page_options. These tables basically just have 5 records which are options a user can set as their preference in a preferences table. The preferences table has columns like sort_preferences and per_page_preference which both point to a record in the other two tables containing the options. How can i set up the models with virtual attributes and fixed values for the options - eliminating table lookups every time the preferences are looked up?

  • Setting Tab Order on UI Elements in jQuery Dialog

    Is there a way to specify the tab order of the elements within a jQuery Dialog which itself contains an Accordion? The dialog also specifies one button in the buttons options. For accessibility, we need to be able to tab through the accordion panes, the form elements in each accordion, the button in the buttons options, and the close icon of the dialog itself, but tabbing seems to be skipping over the button in the buttons options, and I can't find any resource that has a resolution for this sort of problem.
