• sd card folder is not being created in DDMS

  hi everyone , I am new to android. I intend to make video player which can play video from file as well as web URL. But the problem is that when my emulator runs , a sd card folder should be created in "File Explorer" tab of DDMS perspective in eclipse , which is not happening . That's why I am unable to push any file in the sd card and hence video is not being played. • Opening Visual Studio created XAML in Expression Blend

  I have created a console application using Visual Studio 2008. In a few cases, this application shows a WPF dialog. Now, the design view of Visual Studio is a little limited, so I'd like to edit this dialog using Expression Blend 3. Blend does not seem to have an option to load individual XAML files, and when I open my solution in Blend, only the XAML code is displayed when I try to edit the dialog. Edit: I've noticed, that no IntelliSense is available in the text view either. When I create a new WPF Project inside Blend, and copy my dialog there (overwriten MainWindows.xaml), I get a design view. What do I have to do to actually get a design view here? • TextField instance inside a button created in a separate layer in Flash is null in Flex

  I've created an button object in flash. The button contains 2 layers. One is the background image and on top of it is a textField. The textfield is dynamic. I use the button inside a movieclip and I export it in a SWC. The I'm trying to use it in flex. I'm trying to do this: var myComponent:MyComponent = new MyComponent(); myComponent.button01.theTextField.text = "Caption"; I get and instance of the button, but the instance of the textField is null and I'm not able to change the text(but the default text appears onscreen). Does anyone has any idea what is wrong? Here is the button timeline(Layer 2 contains the textfield, and the textfield instance is named theTextField):

  I use Netbeans (nightly build) for Ruby on Rails development and I'm looking to beef up my macros. I've created a few myself: copy identifier: select-identifier copy-to-clipboard paste clipboard over identifier: select-identifier paste-from-clipboard double quote element select-element-next "\"" single quote element: select-element-next "'" But I'm looking for other useful ones and Google is giving me nothing. The record macro feature usually doesn't work too well so I'd rather just "write" the macros myself but I can't even find a reference that lists what commands (like "select-identifier") are actually available. Any Netbeans macro gurus out there?

• Sitecore - version created in other language when renaming

  So I've got this Sitecore content item right, and it's got one version in one language "en-AU". I have 3 potential languages in the system "en", "en-AU" and "en-NZ". I rename the item, right, and Sitecore creates a new version in "en". I delete the "en" version and rename again, same result.. a new version is created .. and again... and again .. see where I'm going with this? And again! Why would it do that? I thought it was a problem with my pipeline processor, but I turned it off and it still happens! Any ideas would be welcome.

• C# Event Handlers automatically created by WinForms Designer

  Just moved from VB.NET to C#. In VB to connect and Event Handler to a Sub we use the Handles clause. From what it seems, this do not exist in C#. After creating a simple application with a button I realize that Window Forms Designer automatically created an EventHandler to my button1_Click function (after I double clicked it), in Form1.Designer.cs with this code: this.button1.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.button1_Click); But, in VB, the WinForms Designer create the Handles clause in my class, in the function header. So, C# create the default EventHandler in designer file, while VB creates in main class with control resides. Is this correct? Am I missing something here?

• Accidentally created a virus?

  I've seen it happen reasonabley often: I write an application in Delphi and when I compile it, the virus-scanner tells me that I've created a virus and thus immediately deletes the executable again. It's annoying but reasonable easy to fix by doing a full rebuild, deleting the *.dcu files first and sometimes by simply waiting. It happens with Delphi 6, 7, 2005 and 2007, as far as I know. And Symantec, Kaspersky, McAfee and NOD32 have all been guilty of reporting these false positives. I know it's because Delphi adds timestamps to its DCU files and these timestamps end up in the final executable and apparently appear to be part of some random virus signature. I don't want to disable the virus-scanner, not even for a single folder or file. And I'm not really for a solution, but am wondering about the following: Do these false positives also occur with other compilers? Does it also happen with .NET executables? Do others also notice similar problems with Delphi?

• Log RuntimeException thrown from thread created by Spring via the @Async annotation

  I'm having some difficulty logging RuntimeException from a thread. My system is: Java 7 (b118), Spring 3.0.5. The threads are not created by hand, but via Spring's @Async annotation, which creates it's own executor behind the scenes, so I don't really have the option of overriding any methods of the thread, FutureTask or anything low level. So my question is if Spring has any support or if there are any best practices for handling (logging) these type of exceptions? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

• Trying to get simple jquery animations on a site I created in Dreamweaver

  Hey guys, another question. I'm trying to do some basic jQuery stuff for my final project. I'll be using it to modify my already existing site created in Dreamweaver a few months ago. However, no matter how I source the framework, it just won't take regardless of whether I host my own copy or link to someone else's like Google's. I'm including my jQuery function calls within my already existing .js file that includes some auto generated functions. I also tried creating a new .js specifically for my jQuery functions and still nothing. I realize this is vague, but any tips? Do I need another framework for jQuery to work off of to make animations like .fadeIn() or .slideDown()? Thanks guys and gals!

• Exception if there is IBOutlet in view controller created by initWithNibName

  When I create a Navigation-based application, the second view controller is created with initWithNibName, if I add a label onto the second view and connect it with IBOutlet in the second view controller. After I navigate to the second view by clicking table cell, and then back to the root view, the application aborts - send message retainCount to a freed object. I know this is caused by the IBOutlet label, which is retained, set nil in viewDidUnload and dealloc in dealloc. But I don't know why, and if I wanna still use IBOutlet, what can I do? Not dealloc it in viewcontroller's dealloc? Anybody could help? Thank you.

  Hello, I would like to move an imageView contained on a cell and it works but creating a new image at new position keeping old image (then two are shown).   I am dynamically creating classes which contain spring beans, however the beans are not getting instantiated or initialised, leaving them as null. How do I make sure that a dynamically created class creates all of its spring beans properly? This is how I am dynamically creating the class: Class ctransform; try { ctransform = Class.forName(strClassName); Method handleRequestMethod = findHandleRequestMethod(ctransform); if (handleRequestMethod != null) { return (Message<?>) handleRequestMethod.invoke(ctransform.newInstance(), message); } } This leaves all spring bean objects within ctransform (of type strClassName) as null.

• Rails Load Data into Application every time a New User is Created

  Hi I am trying to figure out the "right" way to do this. In my application every time I create a new user I want to have specific data loaded into an associated table. The associated table is a different preset lists. So a User has many lists and those lists have many items. Some of those Items I want to be loaded when the User is created. I really don't know how to go about doing this but I am guessing something like: create User after_create: create Lists (need already existing data for the list names) after_create List then populate Items table with existing data for these Lists. Should I be using seed data for this? Is that alright for production and if so how exactly would I go about doing that. Any guidance or other recommendations are greatly appreciated.

But the recipient did not receive the attachment. This has been asked before. But it looks like there is no solution other than to copy the db file to SD card. My question then is: What is the use of the MODE_WORLD_READABLE flag if another app like GMail is unable to read the file?

  I am trying to install SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition x64 on a Windows Server 2008 VM. I run the installer for a standalone installation and this works fine for the setup support rules bit. That passes ok but then I get this error: TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure. SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error: Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created.. BUTTONS: OK How can I resolve this? • Can't delete a file created by mkstemp() on Mac OS X

  Apparently, NSFileManager is unable to delete files created by mkstemp().   hi, is there any way, to restrict hibernate not to create connection of its own(what we define in hibernate.properties or hibernate.cfg.xml), instead i can create and pass the connection to hibernate for further processing. The problem is that i need to set the ApplicationContext on the connection given that the i am using oracle connection. I know how to create a connection and set the applicationContext on to it.. but the problem is that i don't know how to force hibernate to use the connection that i have created.. Please help..

  Hi, I wonder if it is possible to get hold of a reference to the (JDialog?) object created by one of those static methods of JOptionPane (e.g. showMessageDialog)? I intend to modify the position where the dialog appears on the screen. More specifically, I want the dialog to appear at the top-left corner of the main app window, instead of the centre of the window by default. So having a reference to the object would enable me to use setLocation to achieve the desired effect... Any suggestion would be appreciated! Thanks!

• How to determine on which file system a file was created in Java

  Hi Everyone! I get files in different formats coming from different systems that I need to import into our database. Part of the import process it to check the line length to make sure the format is correct. We seem to be having issues with files coming from UNIX systems where one character is added. I suspect this is due to the return carriage being encoded differently on UNIX and windows platform. Is there a way to detect on which file system a file was created, other than checking the last character on the line? Or maybe a way of reading the files as text and not binary which I suspect is the issue? Thanks Guys !
