  • Div overflow not hidden properly

    Hi guys, I'm working on this site - http://dev.chriscurddesign.co.uk/mayday It works in everything other than IE7 and IE8 in compatibility mode (don't care about IE6), where the vacancies lists on the right aren't hidden correctly by their parent overflow property. I have been pulling my hair out trying to get to the bottom of this, its driving me up the wall, anyone got any ideas whatsoever?   • struts 2 - where should I set global application variables?

    Hi I'm using struts 2 and I'd like to read some custom-defined parameters (global variables), preferably from web.xml or some custom ".properties" file (i.e. not hardcoded in the Java sources). This problem has been driving me mad for the past half hour as I can't google any reasonable solution. What is the best way to do this?   • IE8 Randomly does not show background images of my divs

    I have this annoying problem driving me nuts, IE 8 randomly won't show background images of my divs. One minute it shows, then the next time it won't. Then I have to refresh the page 2-3 times for it to show. All my pages work fine on firefox, chrome. Has anyone faced a similar problem? Any solutions?

At the moment I store connection strings externally, but I keep finding hard-coded connection strings all over the web.config xml, various providers etc. It's driving me crazy. Thank you

  • Class for move, scale and rotate, of a uiimageview

    Hi Everyone, I'm creating a subclass of UIImageView that detects touches, and will move, rotate and scale the image based on the touches. However, I really feel like I'm reinventing the wheel here, and it's driving me nuts. Shouldn't this already exist somewhere? Does anyone have any examples, or links to a class that is already doing this? Or if you have a class you've written, that'd be helpful too. Thanks a lot in advance.

  • TCPDF Auto Page Break Not Working if Widths set

    I have a very specific 2 column layout I'm trying to set up for a client using TCPDF. AutoPageBreak works fine if you're sending text to a page with writeHTML and multiCell at the default width of the page. When I set a narrower width for a multiCell TCPDF doesn't know when to page break. This is driving me insane. Here's super simple example set up here: http://www.artworknotavailable.com/temp/tcpdf/

  • Writing white space to CSV fields in Python?

    When I try to write a field that includes whitespace in it, it gets split into multiple fields on the space. What's causing this? It's driving me insane. Thanks data = open("file.csv", "wb") w = csv.writer(data) w.writerow(['word1', 'word2']) w.writerow(['word 1', 'word2']) data.close() I'll get 2 fields(word1,word2) for first example and 3(word,1,word2) for the second.

  • Where are SSIS Packages Saved?

    I right clicked on a Database in the object explorer of SQL Server 2008 Management Studio. I went to Tasks Import Data, and imported some data from a flat text file, opting to save the package on the server. Now how the heck do I get to the package to edit or run it again? Where in SQL Server Management Studio do I go? I've expanded everything and I can't find it. It's driving me nuts.

  • Browser is showing PHP code instead of processing it

    I have installed XAMPP on my computer which is Windows 8 pro. I use to work with Windows 7 every time I run the index.php file on Windows 8 it shows the code on the browser IE10. Here is what I have done: I have named the file correctly: index.php I have installed the server and saved the files inside c:/xampp/htdocs/PHP/ I have used to open and close all PHP tags and everything else seems working fine, like, PHPMyAdmin, and the Ini file I don't know whats wrong and it is driving me crazy ...   • My iphone app gets memory warning and killed at 6.8MB

    My app has a thread that does some time consuming job for more than a minute and the app consumes around 6.8MB of memory. I receive a memory warning after sometime and then it gets killed. There is nothing that I can release, and I am using not even 7MB of memory...driving me crazy...any advice please?

    How do I stop VS 2010 (RC) from autocompleting html helpers with new object { ... } when I just want to pass in an anonymous type? Backspacing is driving me crazy. e.g., VS wants: <%=Html.ActionLink("Register", "Register", new object { controller = "Account" }) %> I know the helper is declared expecting object, which is why it does this, but can I change this behavior just for mvc helpers?

  • jQuery Address plugin: I want to manage the tracking on my own

    I'm using the great (IMHO) jQuery Address plugin but it's been driving me insane since I didn't know that it automatically tracked the pages on Google Analytics. How do I keep it from doing it? I tried this but apparently it's never called. $.address.tracker(function(){console.log("hello")}) I guess I could somehow overwrite the function in the plugin but I hope there's a better way...
