  We all know that if you want to completely delete files from HDD, you have to use a special erase algorithm in order to make it impossible to read it back. But what with the memory cards? Do they need the same algorithms to ensure that no one could read it back? (it has a completely different structure to store data, and I don't know what the case here with secure delete)

  After updating to the latest version of Chrome (33) on my Gentoo Linux box, certain sites such as GitHub have started rendering with ugly, pixelated, non-antialiased fonts. Small text is now basically impossible to read. Before this, GitHub had looked the same to me on Windows, Linux, and Mac computers. So what has happened here and how can it be fixed? EDIT: Appears to be fixed on the stable release of Chrome 34.

  Hello, I have two folders such as nonserved/ folder1/ folder2/ and a served folder via Apache media/ js/ css/ img/ In the end, I want to include/append contents of /nonserved to /media so that www.mysite.com/media will be as such: /media /js /css /img /folder1 /folder2 I am running Ubuntu Server, I am up for either apache config or symbolic link based answer :) Plus nonserved folder is rather dynamic thus manual symbolic linking to each folder is impossible.

• Keyboard repeat on Input Director slave machine.

  I'm using Input Director as a software KVM to control my laptop from my desktop, and all is almost OK with the setup. However, key-presses on the master keyboard seem to repeat very easily on the slave, and it is close to impossible to type a word on the slave without getting repeated characters. I typed the word 'repeat' on the master keyboard and my editor on the slave captured the characters 'repeeaatt'. Both machines are Windows 7.

  I try to install a small audio player named "Audacious" with the following command: sudo apt-get install audacious and it tells me that it depends audacious-plugins, so I try to install the audacious-plugins, one thing leads to another, there're numerous depends and it is just impossible to install all of them manually... Is it even possible to install a software on ubuntu linux? Is there a way to auto install all the depends? (I have never seen such a stupid software manager.) Many thanks.

  Hi everyone, at the moment i have a dual monitor setup on my main PCIe gfx card. I know that on windows it is almost impossible to have a second card (eg no thrills PCI card) running without having an SLI motherboard because of a driver issue. Well this was my conclusion after many weeks of research.   Hi, I wanted to ask if it is possible to create a user account on Ubuntu so that it had all powers and rights of root account except it would be impossible to edit a certain file. What I intend to do is to edit host file in order to block access of certain websites, and then create a user account which would be the same as root account except it would be not able to edit host file. A closely related question from 2011: Are there any extensions or tricks to reopen several closed tabs in Safari Update Safari is now at 6.0.2: having the ability to re-open multiple closed tabs would still very much improve usability (i.e. not having to go searching the History).
