  I have a website running on a Linux computer using Apache. I've employed mod_auth_kerb for single-sign-on Kerberos authentication against a Windows Active Directory server. In order for Kerberos to work correctly, I've created a service account in Active Directory called dummy. I've generated a keytab for the Linux web server using ktpass.exe on the Windows AD server using this command: ktpass /out C:\krb5.keytab /princ HTTP/[email protected] /mapuser [email protected] /crypto RC4-HMAC-NT /ptype KRB5_NT_PRINCIPAL /pass xxxxxxxxx I can successfully get a ticket from the Linux web server using this command: kinit -k -t /path/to/keytab HTTP/[email protected] ... and view the ticket with klist. I have also configured my web server with these Kerberos properties: <Directory /> AuthType Kerberos AuthName "Example.com Kerberos domain" KrbMethodK5Passwd Off KrbAuthRealms EXAMPLE.COM KrbServiceName HTTP/[email protected] Krb5KeyTab /path/to/keytab Require valid-user SSLRequireSSL <Files wsgi.py> Order deny,allow Allow from all </Files> </Directory> However, when I attempt to log in to the website (from another Desktop with username 'Jeff') my Kerberos credentials are not automatically accepted by the web server. It should grant me access immediately after that, but it does not.   iMac 20inch (Mid 2007 Build) with Ubuntu 12.0.4 How I got in this situation I had a perfectly healthy Intel iMac running Snow Leopard several months ago. Then I got the dreaded spinning gear and several kernel panics. After getting a little frustrated (failing to find a solution online), I found an old macbook installation disk and used it to access Disk Utility. From here, I erased my entire hard drive leaving me with no OS. I then created a Ubuntu DVD and installed Ubuntu onto the system. Now, on Ubuntu, I wine installed Transmac and burned a Single layer copy (with languages, etc. removed to save space) of Snow Leopard onto a 4.7GB DVD. I tried to boot from it and was met with first the grey apple screen and a spinning cog before the grey apple shortly turned into the infamous prohibitory sign. Note: I met this problem previously when using Disk Utility to create a bootable USB of Snow Leopard, hence I severely doubt it has anything to do with the DVD created. Resources at my disposal 1 x iMac running Ubuntu 6 x 4.7GB DVDs 1 x USB Stick 12GB 1 x Windows 7 Laptop Resources I do not have Firewire cables Access to a prebuilt retail disk (Misplaced) Access to another Mac Apple Warranty I would be hugely grateful if someone was able to tell me how to install Snow Leopard again.

  I have a problem with running SQL*Plus in the bash. This is working fine. My problem is that when I save the file script.sql my encoding goes wrong. All special characters(like íášc) are broken and that's causing inserting wrong characters into my DB. Encoding of that file is UTF-8, also UTF-8 is set on the XSQL page on our intranet. So I really don't know where could be a problem. And also any advices regarding to my script are welcomed, I am total newbie in Linux scripting:-)

  I need to replace some text in a JNLP file using a DOS batch file to tune it for the local machine. The problem is that the search pattern contains an equals sign which is messing up the string replacement in the batch file. I want to replace the line, <j2se version="1.5" initial-heap-size="100M" max-heap-size="100M"/> with specific settings for the initial and max heap sizes. For example at the moment I have, for /f "tokens=* delims=" %%a in (%filePath%agility.jnlp) do ( set str=%%a set str=!str:initial-heap-size="100M"=initial-heap-size="%min%M"! echo !str!>>%filePath%new.jnlp) but the = in the search pattern is being read as part of the replacement command. How do I escape the equals sign so it is processed as text?

  This may be a duplicate, though I can't find it at this time. If so please point me in the right direction. I recently purchased an authenticode certificate from globalsign and am having problems signing my files for deployment. There are a couple of .exe files that are generated by a project and then put into a .msi. When I sign the .exe files with the signtool the certificate is valid and they run fine. The problem is that when I build the .msi (using the visual studio setup project) the .exe files loose their signatures. So I can sign the .msi after it is built, but the installed .exe files continue the whole "unknown publisher" business. How can I retain the signature on these files for installation on the client machine? You help is appreciated. -Alex

  This question is similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/736120/why-are-methods-in-ruby-documentation-preceded-by-a-pound-sign I understand why in Ruby instance methods are proceeded with a pound sign, helping to differentiate talking about SomeClass#someMethod from SomeObject.someMethod and allowing rdoc to work. And I understand that the authors of PrototypeJS admire Ruby (with good reason) and so they use the hash mark convention in their documentation. My question is: is this a standard practice amongst JavaScript developers or is it just Prototype developers who do this? Asked another way, is it proepr for me to refer to instance methods in comments/documentation as SomeClass#someMethod? Or should my documentation refer to `SomeClass.someMethod?

• DV-AVI in DivX Plus Player and VirtualDub - playback issue

  I have an AVI-video which I had (digitally) transferred from a DV camera to my PC. The video contains errors at the beginning most likely because the DV tape was pretty old. When playing this video in the DivX Plus Player I get some picture artefacts and some high noise peaks of the sound. These stops after two seconds. When I'm playing this video in VirtualDub (where I want to cut it) I get the same picture artefacts. But the sound errors (those loud high peaks) lasts ten seconds. These sound errors are also contained in the cutted video. Why does the video have more errors when played in VirtualDub? I think because of different codecs which are used for decoding the video? How can I change the codec which VirtualDub uses for decoding? I have installed ffdshow for this but it seems that it is not used because I don't get the ffdshow icon in the taskbar when playing the video in VirtualDub. When playing in DivX Player Plus I get this icon.

  I am worried about my account expiry date. I created an account on AWS in July 2013 and submitted my credit card details on 31st Oct 2013. I went in Billing Management Console/Bills section where when I click on Date, I can see months ranging from July 2013 to Nov 2013. From AWS FAQs I gathered When does the AWS free usage tier expire? The AWS free usage tier will expire 12 months from the date you sign up. So WHEN will my account expire, July 2014 (sign up date) or Oct 2014 (credit card details submission date) ?
