[CSS] Margin display disparity between IE7 and FF3

Hi everyone: Refer to HTML, CSS below. Why the margin-bottom will not reflect in IE7, but in FF3? Is there any workaround for it? Hi For my web application, I want a 10*10 (100 cells which is created dynamically) grid to be displayed in the following manner. 0) Initially all the cells' color is green. 1) If i click on any cell its color becomes red if it is green and if i click again it becomes red.(Toggle the cell color) 2) I should be able to display dynamic number of link buttons in each cell.On the click of which it pop ups a window. Are there any control available for this? Or how can i implement this functionality. I am using ASP.net 3.5.

What's the best way to convert a .eps (CMYK) to a .jpg (RGB) with Image Magick

Hi All, I have a bunch of .eps files (CMYK) that I need to convert to .jpg (RGB) files. The following command sometimes gives me under or over saturated .jpg images, when compared to the source EPS file: $cmd = "convert -density 300 -quality 100% -colorspace RGB ".$epsURL." -flatten -strip ".$convertedURL; Is there a smarter way to do this such that the converted image will have the same qualities as the source EPS file? Nike + iPod app like customisation ?

Hi, I am very much curious about Nike + iPod app look and feel. They have selected uitabbar buttons red in color The tableviewcell selection style as red in color. The disclosure indicator is also red in color. The solution in my mind for two of these is: I can use a red colored arrow image to use it as accessory view. I can flip between a red colored and white colored view with animation for having the selection style But I am clueless of how the tabbar thing is to be done. I am very curious to know the tricks behind this, I also accept that I may be wrong with my other two solutions. So please suggest the solution for any of the problems. How to detect an 'image area' percentage inside an image?

Mhh, kinda hard to explain with my poor english ;) So, lets say I have an image, doesnt matter what kind of (gif, jpg, png) with 200x200 pixel size (total area 40000 pixels) This image have a background, that can be trasparent, or every color (but i know the background-color in advance). Lets say that in the middle of this image, there is a picture (for keep the example simple lets suppose is a square drawn), of 100x100 pixels (total area 10000 pixels). I need to know the area percentage that the small square fill inside the image. So, in i know the full image size and the background-color, there is a way in php/python to scan the image and retrieve that (in short, counting the pixel that are different from the given background)? In the above example, the result should be 25%

How do I detect when a cell's value has changed in Silverlight?

Hey folks, I'm working in Silverlight, trying to figure out how to set a grid cell font color based on the contents of the cell. I have an ObservableCollection bound to a DataGrid, and my items implement INotifyPropertyChanged so the grid updates as I change the values; it's all working perfectly, including letting me sort items and keep the sorting while I update the underlying items. I know I can use the LoadingRow event to change colors, but the only way I can get the event to fire is by changing the grids datasource, in which case my sorting goes out the window. So, what I really want is a way to either 1) loop the rows in the datagrid, find the cell I need, and change it's color or 2) implement a custom column that I can use to dynamically set the color. The problem is how to actually do either of those things :) All suggestions welcome.

OpenGL ES displaying HUD display Text can't be colored black on top of textured 3D objects

This is a follow-up of this question on here http://iphonedevelopment.blogspot.com/2010/02/drawing-hud-display-in-opengl-es.html It tackles on the HUD (heads up display) which is based on this tutorial http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2681102/opengl-es-displaying-hud-display-has-no-color-on-top-of-textured-3d-objects I wanted to set the "Text" in color BLACK, but it is more complicated than what I thought. Setting it to some other color other than black "glColor4f(0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0);" is just fine. I assume that the culprit must be in the Blending function "glBlendFunc (GL_ONE, GL_ONE);" I experimented a lot of combinations with no luck. Has anyone experimented on this one on top of textured 3D in the backgrounds working?

JFrame.setBackground() not working -- why?

JFrame mainFrame = new JFrame(); mainFrame.setSize(100, 100); mainFrame.setBackground(Color.CYAN); mainFrame.setVisible(true); My intent is to create a window with a cyan background. What is wrong with this? My window doesn't get cyan, as I'd expect! Also, could anyone point out why I seem to have all the colors in duplicate (there's a Color.CYAN and a Color.cyan). Is there any difference at all between the two? Maybe the older one was a constant from before there were enums in Java and the second one is from the Enum? Thanks

functions inside or outside jquery document ready

Up until now I just put all my jQuery goodness inside the $(document).ready() function, including simple functions used in certain user interactions. But functions that don´t require the DOM document to be loaded or are only called afterwards anyway, can be placed outside the $(document).ready() as well. Consider for example a very simple validation function such as: function hexvalidate(color) { // Validates 3-digit or 6-digit hex color codes var reg = /^(#)?([0-9a-fA-F]{3})([0-9a-fA-F]{3})?$/; return reg.test(color); } The function is only called from within the $(document).ready() function though. What is best practice (syntax, speed); placing such a function inside or outside the jquery document ready function?

Set a class for an element in a PHP include()

I have an identical horizontal menu at the top of all of my pages, which I add using a PHP include() statement. In my stylesheet I want to have a class where if the user is on a particular page, the menu item corresponding to that page will have a different color. So, more or less: #dropdown { background-color:blue; } #dropdown .active { background-color:green; } But, since the menu comes from the PHP include, it's always the same. How can I write some PHP or JavaScript that adds class="active" to the appropriate menu item for each page?

CKEditor plugin: Hightlight selected text by hovering on a new item in the toolbar and selecting fro

I'm new to the CKEditor and I'm trying to create a simple plugin. What I'm hoping to accomplish is to allow the user to highlight some text and then hover on a new item in the toolbar that drops down on mouse over a few different highlight color options for the text. For example, the user could highlight some text, hover on my new item and then select a highlight color. This will be similar to the 'BGColor' plugin except instead of opening a color palette to choose from, the user would select from a drop down of options similar to when you choose to change the font size you have a list of options such as '10', '11', '12', etc. Any help would be appreciated on how to pull this off. I was hoping to check out how 'BGColor' and 'FontSize' plugins where implemented, but I can't find these in ../ckeditor/_source/plugins. Am I looking in the right spot? Also, the link for plugins here - http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/Developers_Guide isn't clickable so I'm not sure if there's a place for plugin documentation that I can check out.

In CSS, can "#footer #caption" coexist with "#content # caption"?

I was going to "nest" the CSS ids like this #content #caption { color: teal } ... #footer #caption { margin: 2em 1em } because that's the way SASS (a CSS generator) can do nesting for... but then in one HTML document, we cannot have two ids with the same name, isn't that true, so the above nesting won't work or won't work well. (esp if document.getElementById() or $('#caption') or $('caption') is needed to select the element). We can use #content #content_caption { color: teal } ... #footer #footer_caption { margin: 2em 1em } but then why 1 more level of nesting? why not just #content_caption { color: teal } ... #footer_caption { margin: 2em 1em } ?

Qt: Styling QTabWidget

I'm using Qt and I have a QTabWidget setup in the Qt Designer Editor, you can see it in picture 1. As you can see after Tab4 there is an empty space all the way to the right edge, in someway I need to fill that space with a color, like in picture 2. Or another solution would be that the tabs float out to cover the whole screen. I use the following stylesheet right now: QTabWidget::tab-bar { } QTabBar::tab { background: gray; color: white; padding: 10px; } QTabBar::tab:selected { background: lightgray; } Is there a way to set the background color of the QTabBar using Qt stylesheets? Or can I get the tabs floating out to the edge using Qt stylesheets? Thanks!

I really need help working with cases, I'm only learning it so far, but just can't get a drop down menu to work that would change the background of a Textbox. In the dropdown menu, it has Red, Blue and Green one per line When the value (e.g. Green) is clicked, it will then change the Textbox to the colour selected. Many help appreciated :)

Something wrong with this gtk# class for a window?

Learning C#, I feel so guilty for loving it. I'm a microsoft hater. Anyways I'm trying out gtk# and just trying out some simple stuff. I've made a class for the main window and MonoDevelop is complaining about this code, which I swear was just fine a second ago. public class mwin{ protected Window win = new Window("test program--"); public mwin(){ //Configure the parts win.SetDefaultSize(300,500); } public void showWin(){ win.ShowAll(); } } win.SetDefaultSize(300,500); }--<(here it says "} expected") But obviously I have a closing brace! Am I missing something? [edit] here's whole code. The color stuff was some stuff I was playing around with to color the window, but I didn't finish because the error started.
