  I need to run the following command from the command line in Windows 7: SumatraPDF.exe -inverse-search "\"C:\Program Files\eclipse\inverse_search.bat\" \"%f\" %l" However I need to modify it a little, since my installation of Eclipse is located in here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Eclipse (C++) How do I escape this line correctly? Do I need to escape parenthesis and pluses too? Or is it just enough to escape double quotes?

  Hi, I am using Tomcat from Eclipse. When i try to start the server I am getting the following error in the console: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.jawr.web.servlet.JawrServlet at org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1516) When i deploy the war file in the Tomcat server outside of eclipse it is not having any problems. I am only getting this problem when i am trying to start tomcat from eclipse with jawr. Please let me know the solution for this problem. Thanks in advance, Jaya

• Android - BaseGameUtil Complicated Import

  I've seen many topics in stackoverflow, such as Cannot import BaseGameUtils (Eclipse weirdness) and Android: cannot import BaseGameUtils successfully in Eclipse but none resolved my problem. I've followed https://developer.android.com/google/play-services/setup.html#Setup - the Add Google Play Services to Your Project [Using Eclipse with ADT], I THINK my project correctly references the google play services lib since up to that point nothing wrong happened. Then, following https://developers.google.com/games/services/android/quickstart, I've downloaded BaseGameUtils but when I import the two projects [TypeANumber & BaseGameUtil], they came named as main and MainActivity. I've renamed BaseGameUtil as so and have marked it as lib and imported it to my project through Properties Android Library, but I can't extend extend a class from BaseGameUtil because it's not even suggested. Also, I have not installed Android L and Android 4.4W from SDK Manager in Eclipse, altough I think that's no the case. Can anyone please help in this? Thanks so much in advance

• Java Authenticator on a per connection basis?

  I'm building an Eclipse plugin that talks to a REST interface which uses Basic Authentication. When the authentication fails I would like to popup my plugin's settings dialog and retry. Normally I could use the static Authenticator.setDefault() to setup an authenticator for all HttpURLConnection's for this, but since I am writing a plugin I don't want to overwrite Eclipse's default Authenticator (org.eclipse.ui.internal.net.auth); I thought of setting my custom Authenticator before loading and putting Eclipse's default back afterwards, but I imagine this will cause all sorts of race issues with multithreading so I quickly lost that notion. Google searches yield all sorts of results basically telling me it's not possible: The Java URLConnection API should have a setAuthenticator(Authenticator) method for making it easier to use this class in multi-threaded context where authentication is required. Source If applications contains few third party plugins and each plugin use its own Authenticator what we should do? Each invocation of "Authenticator.setDefault()" method rewrite previously defined Authenticator... Source Are there any different approaches that might help me overcome this issue?

• How did my email end up in spam? Spam only filters this specific email, other email contents work

  My website has users buy our products and when the purchase completes, it sends the user an email. However, this email always ends up in spam! When the user first registers, the site also sends an email, this email however is not filtered and goes into the normal inbox. I'm not quite sure why this is so, gmail vaguely tells me that " It's similar to messages that were detected by our spam filters." So I'm thinking that I need to reword the following email better. Can I get some tips? However, one thing I miss from the Windows world is code folding. Editors like Notepad++ and IDEs like Visual Studio allow shrink, or fold, blocks of code into single line headings.   I have read some of the things posted here and I keep reading about people running stuff like /foldername/executable -cmd NAME (was reading about a programmer using Eclipse, so he was testing something he made) I don't see things like that when I run things here (Ubuntu 12.04) because of the launcher and the Ubuntu button at the very top. That and Eclipse indigo has a button for running and testing things it makes. Just asking how and why it's common? (assuming it's the Terminal[Ctrl+alt+T] but I'm not sure)

• Huh? JDK not found? (on Windows 7 64-bit)

  I am setting up a development environment for the latest Android 2.3 on a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit. I first installed the 64-bit JDK 6 (jdk-6u23-windows-x64.exe). Then, I installed 64-bit Eclipse Classic 3.6 (eclipse-SDK-3.6.1-win32-x86_64.zip). Then, I proceed to install the Android SDK Starter Package: installer_r08-windows.exe. But... upon start it says: "Java SE Development Kit (JDK) not found." Why? I just installed it. Is this a mismatch between 32-bit and 64-bit? How do I solve this? Update (1): I tried setting the %JAVA_HOME% environment variable, as well as setting the Installed JREs in Eclipse, as suggested below. None of these solved the problem. • Opening an existing process

  I am using Eclipse in Linux through a remote connection (xrdp). My internet got disconnected, so I got disconnected from the server while eclipse was running. Now I logged in again, and I do the "top" command I can see that eclipse is running and still under my user name. Is there some way I can bring that process back into my view (I do not want to kill it because I am in the middle of checking in a large swath of code)? It doesnt show up on the bottom panel after I logged in again. • JVM disappeared on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8

  I'm working in Eclipse one night, (also using Android's DDMS from the commandline). The next morning, I open the lid... attempt to run Eclipse and get an error. me$ sudo /Applications/eclipse/eclipse JavaVM: requested Java version ((null)) not available. Using Java at "" instead. • Huh? JDK not found? (on Windows 7 64-bit)

  I am setting up a development environment for the latest Android 2.3 on a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit. I first installed the 64-bit JDK 6 (jdk-6u23-windows-x64.exe). Then, I installed 64-bit Eclipse Classic 3.6 (eclipse-SDK-3.6.1-win32-x86_64.zip). Then, I proceed to install the Android SDK Starter Package: installer_r08-windows.exe. But... upon start it says: "Java SE Development Kit (JDK) not found." Why? I just installed it. Is this a mismatch between 32-bit and 64-bit? How do I solve this? Update (1): I tried setting the %JAVA_HOME% environment variable, as well as setting the Installed JREs in Eclipse, as suggested below. None of these solved the problem. • Why are emails sent from my applications being marked as spam?

  Hi. I have 2 web apps running on the same server. The first is www.nimikri.com and the other is www.hourjar.com. Both apps share the same IP address (75.127.100.175). My server is through a shared hosting company. I've been testing my apps, and at first all my emails were being delivered to me just fine. Then a few days ago every email from both apps got dumped into my spam box (in gmail and google apps). So far the apps have just been sending emails to me and nobody else, so I know people aren't manually flagging them as spam. I did a reverse DNS lookup for my IP and the results I got were these: 100.127.75.in-addr.arpa NS DNS2.GNAX.NET. 100.127.75.in-addr.arpa NS DNS1.GNAX.NET. Should the reverse DNS lookup point to nimikri.com and hourjar.com, or are they set up fine the way they are? I noticed in the email header these 2 lines: Received: from nimikri.nimikri.com From: Hour Jar <[email protected]> Would the different domain names be causing gmail to think this is spam? I previously had the same issue in Outlook and turning off "Set SMTP Sender: headers" solved that problem. But I believe adding the DKIM and SPF now makes Gmail add "via server.domain1.com" to my messages. How do I fix this?
