• Error when adding to the domain : the specified server cannot perform the requested operation

  When we add computers to the domain in Windows 7, we get the error: Changing the Primary Domain DNS name of this computer to "" failed. The name will remain "domain.com". The error was: The specified server cannot perform the requested operation. This happens on multiple computers and retrying yields the same result. Despite the error, the computer is still able to login to the domain ok. The DCs are windows 2003. Has anyone found a way to get rid of this error? Any help is appreciated.

• PHPMyAdmin - Error 500

  Have scoured the board but can't seem to find anything that's helped yet. If I go to http://localhost/ it's fine, if I go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin I get an 'Error 500: Internal Server Error' There doesn't seem to be anything that'll show up in the log files either. I've tried the RewriteLog as mentioned in PHPMyAdmin 500 Internal Server Error - But that doesn't really seem to help either, nothing gets written to it when I've got: # Logfiles ErrorLog /home/www/beta.**.com/logs/error.log CustomLog /home/www/beta.**.com/logs/access.log combined RewriteLog /home/www/beta.**.com/logs/rewrite.log RewriteLogLevel 9 I've tried uninstalling the package and re-installing it, but that's not helped either. Anyone got any other suggestions? I'm running Debian and Apache 2.

  BSOD constantly and the disk indicator is frozen. Error do not happen immediately, usually an hour after boot up. Here is the Minidump: Bug Check Code = 0x00000124 Caused By Driver = ntoskrnl.exe Caused By Address = ntoskrnl.exe+4b094c Crash Address = ntoskrnl.exe+4b094c Seems to be hardware problem, but I checked RAM, no error. I have two HDs installed, system is on SSD, data is on HDD. Checked SSD with the properties-tools-error-checking , no error. Re-installed several times, still happens even after removed HDD. Configuration: SSD: Crucial M4-CT064M4SSD2 with Firmware 0009 Intel HM65 CPU: i7-2630QM The SSD is set correctly, SATA III 6Gb/s enabled, and everything worked perfectly for nearly a year.

• Error in mysql "max_allowed_packet" VPS godaddy

  I am getting error "Serious session error detected. Please notify administrator, this problem is most probably caused by small value in max_allowed_packet MySQL setting. " This error generally comes after every 20-25 minutes and when it comes , it logs out the user and then logs in again, starts again and then after sometime the same issue occurs again. I tried changing max_allowed_packet setting but getting error "access denied; You need SUPER privilege for this operation'. I even tried SET SESSION too but error "SESSION variable 'max_allowed_packet' is read-only. Use SET GLOBAL to assign the value" I have hosted the website on godaddy VPS centos and access it via putty or cpanel. Website is made in moodle 2.0.3 i.e. php. My developers use to fix this but warned will occur when server restart. As godaddy ppl say move to dedicated and then i can do but as I don't have any money so can't at present. I trying to find how developers used to do for temporary fix that is until server restart.

• Codecs, Premiere Pro & Quicktime: Import or Play Error

  Original Question I've been using a FS-H200 (not the Pro variant) recorder with a JVC ProHD camera. I have been shooting with the DTE FORMAT to Quicktime (.mov). I copied the files to an external hard drive and am now trying to edit. The files will play back in VLC, as they would be expected to. However they will not import into Adobe Premiere CS5.5, instead giving an error: Unsupported format or damaged file. Quicktime gives the following error when attempting to play the files: Error -2002: a bad public movie atom was found in the movie (Filename) To try and fix this, I have installed the following codec packs: K-Lite Codec Pack 64-bit Full (version 5.9, latest) K-Lite Codec Pack 32-bit Full (version 8.4, latest) MainConcept Codec Suite (Broadcast) v5.1 for Adobe CS5 Reinstalled Quicktime with new download from Apple The same errors and problems still exist. From this I can assume that there is an issue with Quicktime and that is what Premiere is using as an encoder/decoder for the codec. Is there any way to fix this?   I am running a dicom receiver on a Centos 6 box on top of a Xen server. If I attempt to send data to it from a remote server I get the following error: storescp: relocation error: /lib/libresolv.so.2: symbol memcpy, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference If I send data to the server locally it works, but sending to it from remote gives the above error. I do not think this is a problem that is specific to the storescp server.

• PhpMyAdmin 500 Internal Server Error on Nginx/php5-fpm/Debian

  I downloaded PhpMyAdmin a while ago and am having a hard time getting it to work. Requesting localhost/phpmyadmin gives a 500 Internal Server Error response, but there's nothing in the error log. These are the steps I did: Downloaded the newest phpmyadmin and unzipped all the files to /var/vhosts/phpmyadmin/www/ Created a new php5-fpm pool and a server block on nginx Changed the owner of all the files inside phpmyadmin/ Tried requesting localhost/phpmyadmin and localhost/phpmyadmin/setup The phpmyadmin is running inside a chroot, and all the files are owned by www-data so it shouldn't be a permission error. I made a new php file in the same directory to produce an error and it logs just fine so it has to be just phpmyadmin. Redmine server is running properly, but I have a problem granting users access to git repositories.   Sometimes I get the error from MYSQL server: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 0 I cannot find the cause, since most of the time it works, but every week for some hours I get this error. I googled, but there seem to be only users which have this error permanently. But in this case, it only occurs sometimes. I checked hosts.allow and hosts.deny, but the host is allowed and not denied. Also sometimes I get the error: File './database/table.MYD' not found (Errcode: 24) It occurs very rarely. But it occurs for some hours once a week, sometimes on multiple days, but suddenly the problem disappears again. I have checked the open files limit. It's 2048 and should be absolutely enough. I also tried to increase the number of open files nevertheless, but no effect. I thought, perhaps the process does not close some tables. But this is impossible, because after a while everythings o.k. again and the process opens maximum 100 tables at once. I also checked the MySQL-runtime-environment, and there were 930 opened files. I cannot explain that. After a while it's 129. I am running a MySQL-Server on a SUSE-Linux machine. I connect to the MySQL-Server from another host by the command line tool "mysql" and by MySQL-C-connector. The MySQL-Server is version 5.0.67.

  When coping a file greater than 64kB from an Ubuntu server to a CIFS mounted windows share, most of the data is copied, but it seems the last chunk doesn't get copied. The size doesn't match, and the md5 check sums don't match. • Issue with aborted MySQL connections (error code: 4)

  Some of the connections between my application server (Ubuntu, Apache, PHP) and my DB server (Ubuntu, MySQL) are failing with error code 4. According to the documentation error code 4 is: OS error code 4: Interrupted system call At first I thought that maybe the issue is that the DB server has too many connections and fails because there are too much open files. But it seems not to be the case because: Too many open files has different error code (24). I've checked and during peak time the server had 497 files open (checked using lsof command) while the maximum is 1024. The TCP settings were already checked (see prior question). Any ideas what this can be or what should I check?

  Computer: Windows 7 x64 Enterprise. Office 2010 with Outlook 2010. Exchange account and a couple of IMAP accounts connected to the Outlook profile. Error: When attempting to share the calendar with anyone (selected from the address book) by click on "Calendar Permissions" seen here You can add or remove people without issue, except that no matter what, even if nothing is done, just opening the sharing window and closing it, you get an error message that says "An error occurred when setting schedule permissions" Verified that the issue doesnt actually effect the sharing, or the general setting of permissions. The error however is disconcerting to my user, and I would like to alleviate the problem if possible. Thanks!

  I've had the same mouse for a while, and it's been working fine until one day, it started giving me a message about a device not working properly. I tried updating the drivers, and re-installing, I even deleted old drivers in case my computer should be a little confused. It never made a difference, and my mouse seemed to be working just fine despite getting the permanent error in my device manager, I looked it up several times online, but I never found anything I could actually use, when I go to official websites, I always get the same response "plug in so so into a different place - drivers - install silverlight before you can watch this tutorial, try it on a different machine". so I gave up on that. But now is where I have a real problem, lately, my little strange error evolved into a fullblown Error 24, and my mouse is starting to turn on and off randomely, especially when it is being used, but I do hear it go "badum..dadum" when I'm off doing something else. when I looked up error code 24, I really didn't find much other than it meaning: Code 24 This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24) Cause The device is installed incorrectly. The problem could be a hardware failure, or a new driver might be needed. Devices stay in this state if they have been prepared for removal. After you remove the device, this error disappears. But, I have tried uninstalling the device entirely several times, and it'll go right back to its previous state with error 24, and turning on and off randomely. what do I do? I cannot afford taking it to a repair place, I can't really afford a new mouse either, I refuse to buy cheap ones as I am a gamer, in need of more than 3 buttons, and a good grip is important. Could there possibly be some confusion in the registry? I do remember having gotten some early problems after I converted my vista to windows7. But I hardly dare going in there unless I'm 100% certain of what I'm going for, and I can honestly say I am at a loss here. Edit: it is a USB mouse we're talking about here.
