  • Proper use of use of "cor" function in R

    I am interested to know what a proper x (vector matrix or data frame) input looks like. I am currently using the function in two different sorts of matrices. However, I am not sure how R would interpret my data the way I intend. I will explain the types of matrix by example. Type 1 Gene1 Gene2 Gene3 sample1 sample2 Type 2 Sample1 Sample2 Sample3 gene 1 gene 2 gene 3 Are either of these formats valid x parameters? I input both of types of matrices and get some results, but without knowing whether or not this a proper use the function, these are just random numbers. Thank you for your time. However when I declare the virtual function in the subclass, then it compiles fine. The compiler already has the signature of the function which the subclass will override, then why a redeclaration is required? Any insights.

  • XCode 5 says I got a duplicate, which I don't

    The point is every time I try to run a C++ code in XCode 5 (the file s "File.cpp") xcode returns this: duplicate symbol _main ld: 1 duplicate symbol for architecture i386 clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) And it only returns the error, when I got the following function whatever it contains: int main() { } I checked the folder, which XCode points to (where it says the duplicates are placed), but didn't find anything though. I've found how to make first step with Lunar, and can't cope with second and third. I can't use SWIG and boost.

    Hi, is there any how how to pass function as a parameter when starting program in C? I am implementing app for integral aproximation, and all I need is to type a function I want to work with, when starting app. I tried (e.g.) 2/(2+2*x), but I only get back "2". When I write to application directly, there is no problem. Is there any simple way of getting this? Maybe redistribute it to more parametres? Like app.c number number*x number *x*x number *x*x*x... ? But here I'm extending a large application which is written in C and I need to use a library which is written in C++. Name mangling of C++ is causing trouble here. Linker is complaining about the unresolved symbols. Well I cannot use C++ compiler over my C project because thats breaking lot of other stuff. What is the way out? By the way I'm using MSVC

    I am trying to implement a callback timer function in C++ which should do a callback after a timeout. I am listening on a socket and then waiting for messages on it. so if I have something like getMessages() and I want to pass the timer function in it as an argument. So how can it be implemented that after the receive of a message, the timer is started and the callback happens if there is a timeout before the next messages arrives. I am new to callback functions.     For the sanity of my users, I want a 'mouseover' event to run after the selector has been hovered for half a second rather than as soon as they hover it. I first tried a setTimeout function but that runs however long the element has been hovered, I didn't think it through too much I guess. I've also spent a day (on and off) searching (and playing Pacman) ti no result, unless I'm searching for the wrong things.     Hi guys, I'm having a web game loaded in orkut application via iframe so there are the orkut iframe and mine iframe inside the xml. Everything is ok, but now I need to have a button for inviting some friends and wall posts from some features. I didn't find a way for including the orkut javascript in the game's code so the first thing that pops into my mind was to call a custom function in the xml by using: window.parent.myFunction(); but it gives me error: permission denied. I've tried some other ways of reaching that function but the error is the same. Does anybody know a way of doing that or this can't be done ?

Abs() only takes integers. Any help is appreciated.
