• WiX - Gotchas for Combining COM and .NET components in the same installer

  I have two products that are always installed in tandem. One is an ActiveX exe the other a C# application. I've gotten the ActiveX installer to build and function properly using WiX and I'd really like to combine both into a single installer. I'm feeling just about dangerous enough with WiX to attempt it, but would be interested in any advice (particularly if it is inadvisable).

  Here are the relevant models: User Product Order A User can sell or buy products An order has a buyer, a seller and one product I know that I can do this with a HABTM relationship between orders and user, but is seems to me like it would be simpler to put in the Order table the following columns: :seller_id :buyer_id and manage those relationships manually as orders are only created once and never edited. However, this doesn't seem very Rails-like and I am wondering if I am missing something conceptually at the HABTM relationship.

  I have a custom treeview which i create programmatically as there is a need of specific layout which is not achievable using asp.net treeview.It is on a master page.When i click on treenodes the content area refreshes after a postback.There is a page category.aspx which is a content page of this master page.I have a user control in that content area named products.aspx.Now i want to use ajax to prevent the postback which happens when i click on treenode.I tried putting user control in updatepanel and treeview as well in updatepanel but to no awail.   I'm using Tycho 0.16.0 and still getting the following Error: Error - 7 icon(s) not replaced in C:\Users\weich01\AppData\Local\Temp\p2.brandingIron8219115442087687624\launcher.exe using C:\Development\Workspaces\Workspace RCP SR2\de.mycompany.myproduct.product\target\products\MyProduct\de.mycompany.myproduct.feature\logo_pms_2011.ico This error should be fixed in v0.16, shouldn't it? With eclipse export everything works fine, so product definition is correct. The icon file contains bmp in all sizes. Thanks for your help
