  • Moving SQL Server databases from one drive to another?

    I have a SQL Server 2008 R2 on my machine which stores everything on the C: drive (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA). I got an additional Hard Drive now and would like to move all the databases over. It's 26 databases, so I'd like to avoid manually disconnecting/reconnecting them. Ideally I would just like to move them from C: and D: and tell SQL Server to look there. Downtime is not an issue, I just don't want to do dozens of mouse clicks :)

  • How can I download a cryptographically signed version the Java JDK from Oracle?

    When going to Oracle's download site (https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_SMI-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=java_ee_sdk-6u1u21-wjdk-oth-JPR@CDS-CDS_SMI) to download JDK for EE the download is over HTTP (not HTTPS) and the executable isn't signed. As far as I can tell, there are also no SHA1 hashes published so I have no way to verify that the code hasn't been altered. Does anybody know of a way to verify this or has Oracle not given any way to make sure this is secure?

  • Sudo-ing Apache for a particular vhost

    I want to manage several SVN repositories for a particular vhost in my system. I want those to be owned by a particular user in the system and not by wwwrun/www. The other websites hosted by Apache should be regularly executed by the unprivileged wwwrun/www user. I'm using worker. How can I tell Apache that every request for a specific vhost must be served impersonating a specific user like I would do in IIS? (This will also come useful when running FUDforum)

  • How do you get an add-on to run in Firefox 4?

    I have an add-on called Flash-Aid in Firefox 4 on my Ubuntu build, but ever since Mozilla came up with their new UI, I haven't been able to figure out how to get add-ons to actually run within Firefox. Double clicking them just opens up a detail page about them and there are no options to run them. With most add-ons, this isn't a problem since they usually don't need to be explicitly run, but this one does. Can someone tell me how to do this?

  • Disable iPhone Yahoo contacts sync

    Every time I plug in my iPhone, iTunes pops up a dialog asking for sync with Yahoo contacts. after I cancel, it pops up again, for 4-5 more times. But the 'Sync Yahoo!Address Book contacts' option is disabled in iTunes and I definitely don't want this to happen. If there any way to tell iTunes to stop trying to sync with Yahoo?

Please don't tell me to use Returnil virtual system because I've had a really bad experience with it when I'm using xp. The system just restarted over and over.     I need to proxy an SSL-authenticated connection to another server that requires an SSL authenticated connection. I realize that the incoming and outgoing connections of the proxy may have different certificates, but is it possible to call proxy_pass and tell it to use a certificate/private key for connection to the proxied system? Based on the documentation, it doesn't seem possible. Maybe with another module?

My website gives "500 Internal server error many times" I have following Web server statistics :- Web Server Statistics Successful requests: 127,310 (7,504) Average successful requests per day: 814 (1,071) Successful requests for pages: 24,949 (1,309) Average successful requests for pages per day: 159 (186) Failed requests: 3,499 (58) Redirected requests: 10,091 (114) Distinct files requested: 5,791 (556) Distinct hosts served: 5,107 (330) Data transferred: 4.28 gigabytes (190.56 megabytes) Average data transferred per day: 28.03 megabytes (27.22 megabytes) Can you tell me my server condition by seeing this or i have to give another details.     I'm working with an API that requires the machine's external IP. As far as I know, the PHP environment I'm using can only get our internal IP. The option on the table is using an external service such as whatismyip.com to tell us: wget -q -O - http://whatismyip.com/automation/n09230945.asp My concern is what happens if that fails. Is there a bulletproof way of determining a machine's IP without relying on external services?
