  • How to install PHP in a new directory in Windows

    I am using Xampp for a local dev server, I am trying to upgrade it so I can use the latest version of PHP. I had it installed in my c drive c:\webserver\php I just installed everything new in a new drive D d:\webserver\php I then boot everything up and then I run phpinfo() and it is still showing my old version of PHP and even points to the old php installation C:\webserver\php\php.ini Am I missing something obvious here?

  • Moving the home directory to a new drive

    I have no more space left on my hard-drive. So I bought a new one and I would like this hard-drive to be the home folder. I thought of copying all the stuff I have on the home folder to the hard-drive partition. and creating a symbolic-link from ~ to there. The problem I have is that I can't really delete the home folder while I'm logged in as the current user. Is there a way to log out, and log in as root in Linux Mint? I want to be able to do this without a live-CD solution.

  • zsh : How to list directory content with tab?

    I just switched from BASH to ZSH and thing are pretty good, but: when I start typing cd /usr/share/s and hit TAB, this is what I get : $ cd /usr/share/sane/ sane/ skype/ ssl-cert/ screen/ smplayer/ strigi/ seed-gtk3/ snmp/ synaptic/ sgml/ software-properties/ system-config-printer/ sgml-base/ soprano/ sysv-rc/ sgml-data/ sounds/ simple-scan/ splashy/ And this is ok. If I then hit TAB again, I get $ cd /usr/share/screen/, the next candidate, witch is also OK. (BTW, how do I cycle back to the previous candidate? Sorry, on to my question) Now what if I want to see the contents of /usr/share/screen/ now ? You now, BASH-style? The cursor is at the end of the line, will I have to ctrl-a (or home), then del del (to erase cd) then ls then ENTER? That seems like a lot of typing. (And it - possibly unnecessarily - enters the command in the history) Would not there be a key (maybe modifier-TAB? but the obvious candidates are already taken by the desktop... I digress) that would tell zsh to stop cycling through /usr/share/ and instead, just list the content /usr/share/screen/ ?

  • Skydrive unable to create directory

    I have upgraded a desktop PC from windows 8 pro to 8.1 pro. I 8, I had skydrive/desktop & skydrive/MUI. In 8.1, file syncing seems to be ok (as far as I could test it). By the way, I could not start the skydrive MUI app. It says "unable to display files on this PC". IN addition, I cannot turn the "offline file access" on in parameters tab. The option stays greyed. Is there away to fix it ? Thanks.

    The following works because I inserted the exact filename: wget --referer=http://www.*****.com --cookies=on --load-cookies=cookie.txt --keep-session-cookies --save-cookies=cookie.txt http://www.*****.com/doc/GG-15252252.html But if I just do it with the doc dir I will get a 403 error message: Connecting to www.*****.com|***.**.***.**|:**... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 403 Forbidden 2010-11-04 21:25:38 ERROR 403: Forbidden. So I can't list the dir, what can I do? Please help anybody and thanks :)!!

    I have quite a newbie question, but here it is anyway: one of our customers has a domain, e. g. examplecustomer.com which points to the customers website. This server is a apache webserver. Now we have another server using IIS 7, where some .NET web app will be running. This .NET app is in a subdirectory of the windows webserver, e. g. C:\inetpub\wwwroot\my_app\ What I would like to have: a subdomain like app.examplecustomer.com points to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\my_app\ (no redirect or so, app.examplecustomer.com is the domain that the web app is using). How can I setup the windows webserver to work that way? It should still be possible to host other apps on that server, too. Like: anotherapp.examplecustomer.com goes to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\my_anotherapp\ etc.

  • Chrooted user does not start in his home directory and does not load his bash_profiles

    If the users logs in, he starts in / of the chroot (Which is /var/jail on the real machine). I would like him to start in his home-dir. Also, he seems not to load any of his profile-files (.bash.rc etc). I followed this tutorial to create the chroot environment. This is what my /etc/passwd looks like: test:x:1004:1008:,,,:/var/jail/home/test:/bin/bash this is what my /var/jail/etc/passwd file looks like: test:x:1004:1008:,,,:/home/test:/bin/bash I also found out that, if I remove Match User test ChrootDirectory /var/jail AllowTCPForwarding no X11Forwarding no from my /etc/ssh/sshd_config, the user starts in his correct home-folder and with his bash-settings loaded. However, he is able to leave the chroot-environment if I remove that part. This question I asked before is somewhat related, since I think the wrong look of the commandline is caused from the not loaded profile-files. So any ideas how to fix this?

    I am trying to retrieve a group policy from a Windows Server 2008 Active Directory and change the minimum password age, maximum password age, and minimum password length in a C# application. Is there a way to do this? So far I have only found out how to create new Group Policy objects using Interop.GPMGMTLib (gpmgmt.dll), yet I haven't figured out how to change the policy's password rules and I am not sure if there is an easier way.

    This question is regarding using STSADM command to create new site collection in Active Directory Account creation mode. My setup is like this- I have 2 virtual PCs in a Windows XP Pro SP3 host. Both VPCs are Windows Server 2003 R2. One VPC acts as the DC, DNS Server, DHCP server, has Active Directory installed and is also the Database Server. The other VPC is the domain member and it is the IIS web server, POP/SMTP server and it has WSS 3.0 installed. I created a new site using the GUI in Central Admin page. For creating a site collection under the newly created site, I needed to use the STSADM command line tool since it cannot be done from Central Admin page in Active Directory Account creation mode. If someone can found out the pass of the client that is using the wcf services, can he create the same user name on different computer and use the password to access the wcf services ?     Hello, I want to make a little script but I'm rather n00b in php so please help me if you can :) What I want the script to do is: I have "index.php". I want "index.php" to read the sub-directories from a known folder, let's say "templates/" Each sub-directory will contain a file called "content.html".     I'm writing an iPhone app with a UIWebView which should display various html files I have in the app resource folder. In xcode my project overview, these html files are displayed like this: dirA |---> index.html |---> a1.html |---> a2.html |---> my.css |---> dirB |---> b1.html |---> b2.html |---> dirC |---> c1.html |---> c2.html These resources where added to the project as such: - Checked "Copy items into destination groups folder (if needed)". - Reference type: Default. - Text encoding: Unicode (utf-8). - Recursively create groups for any added folders. The links in my html are relative, meaning they look like this: <a href="a1.html">a2</a> <a href="a2.html">a2</a> <a href="dirB/b2.html">b2</a> <a href="dirC/c1.html">b2</a> In order to display the index.html when the app starts up, I use the following code: NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"index" ofType:@"html"]; NSURL *url = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:path]; NSURLRequest *request = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; [webView loadRequest:request]; This works fine. Following links from the index file also works fine, as long as the html files requested are directly under dirA. If the link followed points to a file in a sub-directory, then didFailLoadWithError will catch the situation and report that the requested file does not exist. Note that [webView loadHtmlString:myHtml]; cannot be part of the solution, as I need back and forward buttons to work in my web view. So the question is: How can I follow a relative link to an html file in a sub directory within my resources? I've been all over stackoverflow and the rest of the tubes for the past few days trying to figure this one out, but nowhere have I come across the solution to this exact problem. Any insight at all would be very, very much appreciated!
