• Is there a way put a timestamp in the file header automatically when saving in Eclipse?

  I am a PHP developer using Eclipse PDT. I would like a timestamp put automatically in my file headers whenever I save the file. Maybe as a replacement of a variable. Let's say I use this header in a file: /** * ${filename} * ${timestamp} */ When I save the file I would this to be replaced with: /** * Myfile.php * 4/20/2010 19:04 */ It would also be ok if there is a macro that would add a line at the very beginning of the file just containing a timestamp.   I have the following "download" script in PHP which basically makes an address on my website download the file for the user, eg. mysite.com/download.php?fileid=10 The question I have is, how can I send the file name to the used for the download when a user downloads the .php address with a File Downloaders/Accelerators? eg. • Using finch first time. How to play mp3,ogg or other formats (wav files to big) ?

  My *.wav's work as expected. But wav files are to big, so I want to play *.mp3 or *.ogg but it doesn't work. I use this lines of code found in the finch Demo project engine = [[Finch alloc] init]; sitar = [[Sound alloc] initWithFile:RSRC(@"sitar.wav")]; [sitar play]; So I only change sitar.wav into my .mp3 filename. Note 1: It mustn't be mp3 or ogg, any file format not as huge as wav should be ok, but which ? Note 2: I didn't know how to use sound, so I searched and found finch here at stackoverflow. It looks easy, so I would like to use that, but if you know some other easy way to play that sound files (ambient + effects sound with compressed codec) I would also switch to that other technique.

  I'm trying to port some of my c++ code into c. I have the following construct class reader{ private: FILE *fp; alot_of_data data;//updated by read_until() method public: reader(const char*filename) read_until(some conditional dependent on the contents of the file, and the arg supplied) } Im then instantiating hundreds of these object and iterate over them using several 'read_until()' for each file until allfiles is at eof. I'm failing to see any clever way to do this in c, the only solution I can come up with is making an array of FILE pointers, and do the same with all the private member data from my class. But this seems very messy, can I implement the functionality of my class as a function pointer, or anything better, I think I'm missing a fundamental design pattern? The files are way to big to have all in memory, so reading everything from every file is not feasible Thanks

• Apache loads any file that begins with the same string as used in url. How to prevent this?

  If I point to: mywebsite.com/search and there is a file called search.php or search.html or search.inc.php or search.whatthehell.php in website's directory, Apache will point to that file instead of 404'ing. What is even more annoying is that if I point to: mywebsite.com/search/string?also=whatever Apache will still display any file with filename that begins with "search.". Also, all RewriteRules with patterns containing filenames existing in directory are ignored/useless. I'm using Apache 2 on Mac, unmodified httpd.conf. How do I prevent it from redirecting my urls so freely?

• How do I use BCP or Sql Server Management Studio to get BLOB data our of Sql Server?

  I'm sorry if this question has been asked already, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I have a table that stores files as BLOBS. The column that holds the file is an image datatype. I would like to be able to extract the binary data out of the column and turn it in to an actual file. I would ideally like to be able to do this with BCP or management studio if possible. I have tried BCP, but for some reason when I try and pull out an office document Word thinks it's corrupt. Here's what I've tried so far (obviously the values have been changed to protect the innocent :): bcp "select document_binary_data from database where id = 12345" queryout "c:\filename.doc" -n -S server -U username -P password This isn't working though? Any thoughts?

  How do I convert (as an example): Señor Coconut Y Su Conjunto - Introducciõn to: Señor Coconut Y Su Conjunto - Introducciõn I've got an app that creates m3u playlists, but when the track filename, artist or title contains non ASCII characters it doesn't get read properly by the music player so the track doesn't get played. I've discovered that if I write the track out as: #EXTINFUTF8:76,Señor Coconut Y Su Conjunto - Introducciõn #EXTINF:76,Señor Coconut Y Su Conjunto - Introducciõn #UTF8:01-Introducciõn.mp3 01-Introducciõn.mp3 Then the music player will read it correctly and play the track. My problem is that I can't find the information I need to be able to do the conversion properly.

Any idea as to why this error occurs?

  Hi! all, I am writing an application which is a kinda video streamer.The client is receiving a video stream using udp socket.Now as I am receiving the stream I want to play it simultaneous.It is different from playing local video file lying in your hard disk in which case it can be as simple as running the file using system("vlc filename").But here many issues are involved like there can be delay in receiving and player will have to wait for the incoming data.I have come to know about using vlc to run a video stream.Can you please elaborate the step for playing the stream using vlc.I am implementing my application in c++. I start a process like the code below, when process exists, the Exist event of the process is fired but it closed my console application too, I just want to start a process and then in exit event of that process start another process. It is also wired that process output is reflecting in my main console application. • Captcha Alternative, how secure?

  I do the web page for my local library, and I was thinking it might be kind of appealing to have a "custom" captcha based on book covers. So serve up one of several dozen book covers, and have the patron filling out the form type the book title to prove they're human. Assuming I stripped the title/author info from the image and filename, would that be enough? Would the fact that it was a unique system on a fairly small website be enough to make it effective? Just how tricky are the spam bots these days? Would having the image name be the ISBN # be too obvious?

• Pylons and Pisa (xhtml2pdf): blank page in IE

  I'm using pylons to serve a dynamically generated pdf document for reporting: my approach works in firefox & chrome (it displays the pdf inline if the plugin is available or otherwise downloads it) but IE (7 & 8) only show a blank page and doesn't prompt for download. IE correctly shows PDFs generated by other websites, though. Don't know if it matters but the page is accessed through HTTPS. My controller does the following: renders the source page through mako converts the html to pdf using pisa adds these headers to the response: Content-type: application/pdf and Content-disposition: inline; filename=file.pdf Do you have any suggestion? I seem to be stuck and cannot think of anything else to try.

  Hey, I'm using an API which, given a url, redirects to a file on the server. The file names have "_s,_m and _l" appended to the end (small, medium, large). However, since the url's querystring is parsed dynamically, I don't retrieve the actual file name. The image displays correctly, but is it possible to retrieve the filename of the image file from the code? (i.e. where the url has redirected to)? e.g. http://api.somesite.com/getimage?small (this is what I enter) "http://somesite.com/images/userimage_s" (this is where it redirects to. • European signs in img src problem

  Hey. I recently encountered a strange problem on my website. Images with æ ø and å in them (Western European signs) Won't display. The character encoding on all sites is "Iso-8859-1" I can print æ ø and å on the page without problems. If I right click the "broken image" and choose properties, it displays the filename with the european signs. (/admin/content/galleri/å.jpg) the code for img looks like this <img name='bilde' src='content/{$_SESSION["linkname"]}/{$row["img"]}' class='topmargin_ss leftmargin_ms rightmargin_s' width='80' height='80'> (Wasn't allowed to post images so the code is without starting and ending brackets) Made 4 files: z.jpg æ.jpg ø.jpg å.jpg Only z.jpg shows up, they are the exact same jpg. The images are uploaded using php code, which works, uploads to the right directory and has no problem with the european signs. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

• Manipulating the case of the build macros in Visual Studio: $(TargetDir)

  I've come across a weird problem today in Visual Studio 2005. If I create a new configuration "NewConfiguration" for one of my projects. The output directory referred to by the project in $(TargetDir) is "/path/to/build/area/newconfiguration". Note the loss of capital letters, I'd expect it to be in "/path/to/build/area/NewConfiguration". In another project that I created yesterday, the capital letters are there. Normally this would be a problem, but it's part of a fairly complicated build system where some of it's on unix and we need to worry about case sensitive filename. Does anyone know where the source string for the Visual Studio macros like $(TargetDir) are stored so that I can get the case to be consistent and match what we need for our build system?
