    anyone know of a decent site where i can lookup where an ip address is? e.g. if i have ip address x.x.x.x.x and i want to know if that ip is in london or scotland. i've been going around google and what the sites i have found are saying is that ip x is located in location london when it shud be roughly 250 miles away from there. thanks p.s. must be free

    HI Guys I have the same issue and I am looking to solve it. Here is detail I have two web sites WebsiteA and WebSiteB (WebsiteB is not in my control, A type of black box for me.). Both websites have seprate login page I have alist of users,password of websiteB which I stored in database. I want a kind of common login page. If user is login to websiteA and he want to go to websiteB, he dont have to enter the login and password information again. I can not touch the code of websiteB. it's alredy deployed and runing. In websiteB in login form they have a Userid textbox and Password textbox and and a login Button. This butoon is not a submit button. It has a click event which calls a function to validate the user. it's not a simple post. WebsiteB has one webpage which has different frames. After login sucessfull. The pages doesnt go to any other page it remain on the same page but load the different frame. According to my knowledge. I can use httpwebrequest class. But faceing the following problem. Can not click the button. Response.Redirect does not work. It seems that WebsiteB is not storing any thing in cookies as cookies always return me a empty string I really appriciate if anyone can help me on it. How Can I use response.Redirect . As when I redirect it shows me the same login page.

  • Need help with jquery sorting

    I have a column within which are multiple 'records' (each a div). Each record has a bunch of fields (each a span whose id is the fieldname). I want to allow the user to sort all the records based on a field. I also want, the field that has been sorted to be moved to the beginning of the record. So I came up with this. But its really slow for a large sets. Not sure whats the best way to do this.   • Need help with map (c++, STL)

    Hi folks! Actually I'm new to C++. I tried something out (actually the map container) but it doesn't work the way I assumed it will... Before posting my code, I will explain it shortly. I created 3 classes: ClassA ClassDerivedA ClassAnotherDerivedA The two last ones are derived from "ClassA". Further I created a map: map<string,ClassA> test_map; I put some objects (from Type ClassDerivedA and ClassAnotherDerivedA) into the map. Keep in mind: the mapped value is from type "ClassA". This will only work because of Polymorphism. Finally I created an iterator which runs over my map and compares the user input with my keys in the map. If they match, it will call a specific method called "printOutput".     I am using a custom captcha php script along with news letter scripts to let users subscribe using an email id. The method of registration is based on jQuery.post command. My question is that am I really safe If I remove the captcha validation from my subscription script. The subscription is simple. For example mydomain/[email protected] The subscribe.php is called along with email as parameter using jQuery.post command.   • Need help INSERT record(s) MySQL DB

    I have an online form which collects member(s) information and stores it into a very long MySQL database. We allow up to 16 members to enroll at a single time and originally structured the DB to allow such. For example: If 1 Member enrolls, his personal information (first name, last name, address, phone, email) are stored on a single row. If 15 Members enroll (all at once), their personal information are stored in the same single row. The row has information housing columns for all 'possible' inputs. I am trying to consolidate this code and having every nth member that enrolls put onto a new record within the database. I have seen sugestions before for inserting multiple records as such: INSERT INTO tablename VALUES (('$f1name', '$f1address', '$f1phone'), ('$f2name', '$f2address', '$f2phone')... The issue with this is two fold: I do not know how many records are being enrolled from person to person so the only way to make the statement above is to use a loop The information collected from the forms is NOT a single array so I can't loop through one array and have it parse out. My information is collected as individual input fields like such: Member1FirstName, Member1LastName, Member1Phone, Member2Firstname, Member2LastName, Member2Phone... and so on Is it possible to store information in separate rows WITHOUT using a loop (and therefore having to go back and completely restructure my form field names and such (which can't happen due to the way the validation rules are built.)

  • Need some help setting up subdomains for my site

    I'm setting up my website and want to have it so all subdomain requests are rewritten to the appropriate subdirectory. For example http://projects.karimsa.net/ -> http://karimsa.net/projects/ But I want to use the Apache rewrite mod to do this so that the URL in the browser stays the same. Here is what my config looks like at the moment: ## rewrite subdomains RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(.*).karimsa.net RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.karimsa.net [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://karimsa.net/%1/$1 [R=301,L] And my CNAME records on 'projects.karimsa.net': Domain TTL Data Type projects.karimsa.net 14400 karimsa.net CNAME Theoretically, I feel this should work. But when I go to the URL, it gives me a server misconfiguration error, my provider's default webpage. What I should see is the index.php under /projects/. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading. Addition: I realized I forgot to mention some of the problem. The domain 'karimsa.net' is parked at 'karimsa.x10.mx'. If I set up the same configuration on 'projects.karimsa.x10.mx', the rewrite and CNAME work. But on the parked domain I still get the default webpage.

  • Lucene boost: I need to make it work better

    I'm using Lucene to index components with names and types. Some components are more important, thus, get a bigger boost. However, I cannot get my boost to work properly. I sill get some components appear later (get worse score), even though they have a higher boost. Note that the indexing is done on one field only and I've set the boost to that field alone. I'm using Lucene in Java. I don't think it has anything to do with the field length. I've seen components with the same name (but different type) get the wrong score.
