  • Need help with jquery sorting

    I have a column within which are multiple 'records' (each a div). Each record has a bunch of fields (each a span whose id is the fieldname). I want to allow the user to sort all the records based on a field. I also want, the field that has been sorted to be moved to the beginning of the record. So I came up with this. But its really slow for a large sets. Not sure whats the best way to do this.     Hi folks, I have a nested map: Map<Integer, Map<Integer, Double>> areaPrices = new HashMap<Integer, Map<Integer, Double>>(); and this map is populated using the code: while(oResult.next()) { Integer areaCode = new Integer(oResult.getString("AREA_CODE")); Map<Integer, Double> zonePrices = areaPrices.get(areaCode); if(zonePrices==null) { zonePrices = new HashMap<Integer, Double>(); areaPrices.put(areaCode, zonePrices); } Integer zoneCode = new Integer(oResult.getString("ZONE_CODE")); Double value = new Double(oResult.getString("ZONE_VALUE")); zonePrices.put(zoneCode, value); myBean.setZoneValues(areaPrices); } I want to use the value of this Map in another method of the same class. For that I have a bean.   • [Need help]: Issue with submit button and html file input control’s Click() method

    Scenario: On click of a button, we dynamically create html file input (file upload) control on the page and call that file input controls Click() method. User then selects the file from the disk. There is a “Submit” button to upload the selected file. Problem: The problem is, when clicked on “Submit” button first time, the input value from the file input control is cleared. And the request does not go to the server. When clicked second time, the request goes to server with empty file input value. Why the first click on submit button does not send the request to server. And why it clears the file input control value? Note: The issue is observed only when we call Click() method programmatically. If we let user to click browse, then in that case, the "Submit" does not clear the input value and sends request to server on first click itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. By the way, server side code is in asp.net and client side in java script, testing on IE. -Somesh

    I'm desperately searching for regular expressions that match these scenarios: 1) Match alternating chars I've a string like "This is my foobababababaf string" - and I want to match "babababa" Only thing I know is the length of the fragment to search - I don't know what chars/digits that might be - but they are alternating. I've really no clue where to start :( 2) Match combined groups In a string like "This is my foobaafoobaaaooo string" - and I want to match "aaaooo".   • Need help INSERT record(s) MySQL DB

    I have an online form which collects member(s) information and stores it into a very long MySQL database. We allow up to 16 members to enroll at a single time and originally structured the DB to allow such. For example: If 1 Member enrolls, his personal information (first name, last name, address, phone, email) are stored on a single row. If 15 Members enroll (all at once), their personal information are stored in the same single row. The row has information housing columns for all 'possible' inputs. I am trying to consolidate this code and having every nth member that enrolls put onto a new record within the database. I have seen sugestions before for inserting multiple records as such: INSERT INTO tablename VALUES (('$f1name', '$f1address', '$f1phone'), ('$f2name', '$f2address', '$f2phone')... The issue with this is two fold: I do not know how many records are being enrolled from person to person so the only way to make the statement above is to use a loop The information collected from the forms is NOT a single array so I can't loop through one array and have it parse out. My information is collected as individual input fields like such: Member1FirstName, Member1LastName, Member1Phone, Member2Firstname, Member2LastName, Member2Phone... and so on Is it possible to store information in separate rows WITHOUT using a loop (and therefore having to go back and completely restructure my form field names and such (which can't happen due to the way the validation rules are built.)

    Hi folks! Actually I'm new to C++. I tried something out (actually the map container) but it doesn't work the way I assumed it will... Before posting my code, I will explain it shortly. I created 3 classes: ClassA ClassDerivedA ClassAnotherDerivedA The two last ones are derived from "ClassA". Further I created a map: map<string,ClassA> test_map; I put some objects (from Type ClassDerivedA and ClassAnotherDerivedA) into the map. Keep in mind: the mapped value is from type "ClassA". This will only work because of Polymorphism. Finally I created an iterator which runs over my map and compares the user input with my keys in the map. If they match, it will call a specific method called "printOutput".     I am using a custom captcha php script along with news letter scripts to let users subscribe using an email id. The method of registration is based on jQuery.post command. My question is that am I really safe If I remove the captcha validation from my subscription script. The subscription is simple. For example mydomain/[email protected] The subscribe.php is called along with email as parameter using jQuery.post command. I am new to web programming stuff and don't have much idea about spammers in conjunction with above scenario. Any advise would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

  • Need some help setting up subdomains for my site

    I'm setting up my website and want to have it so all subdomain requests are rewritten to the appropriate subdirectory. For example http://projects.karimsa.net/ -> http://karimsa.net/projects/ But I want to use the Apache rewrite mod to do this so that the URL in the browser stays the same. Here is what my config looks like at the moment: ## rewrite subdomains RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(.*).karimsa.net RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.karimsa.net [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://karimsa.net/%1/$1 [R=301,L] And my CNAME records on 'projects.karimsa.net': Domain TTL Data Type projects.karimsa.net 14400 karimsa.net CNAME Theoretically, I feel this should work. But when I go to the URL, it gives me a server misconfiguration error, my provider's default webpage. What I should see is the index.php under /projects/. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading. Addition: I realized I forgot to mention some of the problem. The domain 'karimsa.net' is parked at 'karimsa.x10.mx'. If I set up the same configuration on 'projects.karimsa.x10.mx', the rewrite and CNAME work. But on the parked domain I still get the default webpage.

  • Lucene boost: I need to make it work better

    I'm using Lucene to index components with names and types. Some components are more important, thus, get a bigger boost. However, I cannot get my boost to work properly. I sill get some components appear later (get worse score), even though they have a higher boost. Note that the indexing is done on one field only and I've set the boost to that field alone. I'm using Lucene in Java. I don't think it has anything to do with the field length. I've seen components with the same name (but different type) get the wrong score.

    I have the following html: <li> <span class="one">Stuff here</span> <span class="two">More stuff</span> </li> .one { display: block; } .two { display: none; } What is the easiest method, preferably CSS only, to hide one and show two when the mouse rolls over the <li> container. If this cannot be done via CSS and only Javascript, I would prefer jQuery via something like live() as the content is updated live and do not wish to constantly rebind manually. EDIT: I forgot to mention that this has to work in IE6 :/
