    hi .. i have written a small program with a reference to a dll file that will be included in the setup file. what i still need is a way to update the dll (in case i change some functions), without the need to redownload the whole program again, just replace the dll file ... is this possible ? i just read somewhere that i have to update the xml file with the new dll version, but i really need the full steps to update the dll sucessfully .. any help is really appreciated.. thanks a lot

  • Help me plan larger Qt project

    I'm trying to create an automated task management system for our company, because they pay me to waste my time. New users will create a "profile", which will store all the working data (I guess serialize everything into xml rite?). A "profile" will contain many different tasks. Tasks are basically just standard computer janitor crap such as moving around files, reading/writing to databases, pinging servers, etc.). So as you can see, a task has many different jobs they do, and also that tasks should run indefinitely as long as the user somehow generates "jobs" for them. There should also be a way to enable/disable (start/pause) tasks. They say create the UI first so... I figure the best way to represent this is with a list-view widget, that lists all the tasks in the profile. Enabled tasks will be bold, disabled will be then when you double-click a task, a tab in the main view opens with all the settings, output, errors,. You can right click a task in the list-view to enable/disable/etc. So each task will be a closable tab, but when you close it just hides. My question is: should I extend from QAction and QTabWidget so I can easily drop tasks in and out of my list-view and tab bar? I'm thinking some way to make this plugin-based, since a lot of the plugins may share similar settings (like some of the same options, but different infos are input). Also, what's the best way to set up threading for this application?

    Hi guys, I'm importing from two jar's twitter4j-2.0.10.jar and mysql-connector-java-5.1.10-bin.jar, I'm running the code on a server but it's not letting me. I get a.. Streamer.java:9: package twitter4j does not exist import twitter4j.StatusDeletionNotice; ^ error when compiling. I know this has something to do with getting java to recognise my custom jar's but I don't know how to get java to "see" them. Any ideas?

    Here's my index action in the books controller: http://pastebin.com/XdtGRQKV Here's the view for the action i just mentioned: http://pastebin.com/nQFy400m Here's the result without being logged in: http://i.imgur.com/rQoiw.jpg Here's the result when i'm logged in with the user 'admin': http://i.imgur.com/E1CUr.jpg So the problem is that, in the view, before line 25 the 'user' variable seems to be empty ( or not loaded), and after line 25 the variable 'user' has the expected values. I have tried initializing a variable in the index method of the books controller but get exactly the same results. Thanks in advance! BTW had to make the links text because of stackoverflow limit.

If he chooses the right answer he gets some points, if he doesn't, he looses them. I've already worked through some of Project Euler with Python, but it's getting old. I know the basics, and I want to write something more fun that will introduce me to new things in Python. Is there a cliche beginner project for Python? (for example, PHP's would be a blog or something similiar) Are there any common Python projects for newcomers, or any uncommon ones that you'd suggest?     We're transitioning to an automated build process for our iphone projects. These projects can be checked out by individual devs, in which case all the API URLs need to point to a certain path. There are also a variety of build environments, each with their own API root paths. I could probably add multiple, different build targets, and have each of them include a different URLs definition file, but this seems like a lot of upkeep and a bit overkill. Any best practices out there for swapping a few environmental variables for different build environments without much fuss?

    I recently moved the asp.net website solution folder (along with class projects) to different location. As the result, visual studio doesn't stop at break points, and I could not able to debug. I see none of my assemblies at Debug Windows Modules; only microsoft assemblies are loaded. I have also deleted all bin folder and re-referenced all projects. But still no luck. Thanks in advance!

  • How to debug iPhone project crash when there is no error message

    Hi, I am doing this iPhone app that works fine on the simulator. However, when I run it on a device in debug mode, it just crash without any error messages. How can I debug that? I heard about a flag we can set to help with this kind of situation but not sure what that flag is and how to set it.     I am trying to get a folder path in my C drive that I did not want to hard code with my program. I know that I can use string path = System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory; However its give me : C:\FACE\Camera\Camera\bin\Debug . Which I want to only have C:\FACE\ as I want to initialise something in the FACE folder but outside of my Camera folder. I do not wish to hardcode the file path. Is it possible to do it?
