• Oracle global_names DELETE problem

  I'm using a database link to execute a DELETE statement on another DB, but the DB link name doesn't conform to global naming, and this requirement cannot change. Also I have global_names set to false, and cannot be changed either. When I try to use these links however, I receive: ORA-02069: - global_names parameter must be set to TRUE for this operation Cause: A remote mapping of the statement is required but cannot be achieved because GLOBAL_NAMES should be set to TRUE for it to be achieved. - Action: Issue `ALTER SESSION SET GLOBAL_NAMES = TRUE` (if possible) What is the alternative action when setting global_names=true is not possible? • Prevent Excel from evaluating unneeded expressions in OR()

  IF(OR(ISNA(MATCH(8,B10:B17,0)),MATCH(8,B10:B17,0)>8),"",...BLAH...) I understand how to fix this problem by rearranging my formula. I have it the way it is to show this point. You can see the OR() statement checks to see if the first MATCH() returns NA. When it does, OR() should automatically return TRUE and not evaluate the second MATCH() because conditions have been met for the OR() to return true no matter what other arguments there are. You'll notice that the first and second MATCH() functions do the same thing. What's happening is the entire function is returning NA because the second MATCH() is executing even though it doesn't have to, the OR() has been satisfied with one TRUE, therefore the function should return "". Is this a bug or is this intentional?

• Django m2m adding field in the secondary table

  I have a model in wich i'm using m2m Django ORM feature, in order to create an aditional table to hold my 'classrom members'. My problem is: the membership to a classroom must be accepted by the invited one, so i need a boolean field :1=accepted, 0=refused/unseen yet. • Rails 3: jQuery form not working.

  Hi, I have jquery working on my Rails app using the gem 'jquery-rails'. I also have a search form working correctly. However, when I add :remote => true the form stops working. <%= form_tag services_path, :method => :get, :remote => true do %> <%= text_field_tag :search, params[:search] %> <%= submit_tag "Search", :name => nil %> </div> <% end %> I have also added a index.js.erb but it has no effect on it. For some reason the :remote = true makes the form to stop working. Any reason why? Thanks

  I have a table with many fields and additionally several boolean fields (ex: BField1, BField2, BField3 etc.). I need to make a Select Query, which will select all fields except for boolean ones, and a new virtual field (ex: FirstTrueBool) whose value will equal to the name of the first TRUE Boolean Field. For ex: Say I have BField1 = False, BField2 = True, BField3 = true, BField4=false, in that case SQL Query should set [FirstTrueBool] to "BField2". Is that possible? Thank you in advance. P.S. So, navigator.cookieEnabled is always true. This stuff works perfectly in Chrome and FireFox. Am I doing anything wrong?

• Fastest way to move records from an Oracle database into SQL Server

  Ok this is the scenario... I have a table in Oracle that acts like a queue... A VB.net program reads the queue and calls a stored proc in SQL Server that processes and then inserts the message into another SQL Server table and then deletes the record from the oracle table. We use a DataReader to read the records from Oracle and then call the stored proc for each of the records. The program seems to be a little slow. The stored procedure itself isn't slow. The SP by itself when called in a loop can process about 2000 records in 20 seconds. But when called from the .Net program, the execution time is about 5 records per second. I have seen that most of the time consumed is in calling the stored procedure and waiting for it to return. Is there a better way of doing this? What is a good and idiomatic way to do this in Scala?   I have a trigger function that I only want to fire on certain instances of INSERTS, in this case, if do_backup = true. If it fires in all instances, I get an infinite loop. The logic seems pretty simple to me, and the rest of the function works. But the trigger function does not seem to register my conditional and always runs, even when backup = true. • JSF form does not get submitted when form is disabled by JavaScript

  This is the submit button: <h:commandButton actionListener="#{regBean.findReg}" action="#{regBean.navigate}" value="Search" /> This is the form: <h:form onsubmit="this.disabled=true;busyProcess();return true;"> If the submit button is pressed, the page shows a "busy" icon until request is processed. The problem is, the form is never submitted and the request never reaches the backend. However, if I instead take out the "disabled" call like so: <h:form onsubmit="busyProcess();return true;"> Then everything works. Any ideas?

• Can ANYONE get _lockroot to work?

  Hi Guys, I have the following code which ultimately loads a SWF into movieclip 'myloader' using a movie clip loader, code as follows: var myload:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader(); var listener:Object = new Object(); myload.addListener(listener); listener.onLoadStart = function(){ animcontainer.myloader._lockroot = true; trace("Started"); } listener.onLoadInit = function(){ animcontainer.myloader._lockroot = true; trace("finished and locked"); } listener.onLoadComplete = function(){ animcontainer.myloader._lockroot = true; } myload.loadClip(path, animcontainer.myloader); The swf I am loading has pause, rewind and play buttons that must be referencing _root as they work fine when played alone. Upon loading them into myloader they no longer work. Based on the above code surely the myloader clip should be locking as _root after the load is complete? I have Googled myself dry on this one, no luck. ANY help will be much appreciated, Thanks.
